It seems like Rene doesn't like WAAF all that much, but that Celine does. Celine's response to Katie's compliment can be read as either "Oh, well at least you like it" or "you don't really like it, but I like it"'; there was a strange energy between them during that part of the interview - or rather, a lack thereof. Rene barely said a word about the song! I get the feeling that this album has been a source of anxiety for them; Rene's reticence is either troubling, or intriguing, depending on whether or not you believe that this is really the best clip (or even the final mix) of the song. Or is it the other way around; does Celine know this isn't her best work, and she's embarrassed about revealing it? Either way, there was something deeper going on during that segment.

I agree she is a far better interviewer than Oprah, and in terms of promotion for future projects, I think Celine has found her new "Oprah". The chemistry is also there. Celine has good chemistry between certain interviewers and with some it's terrible. She had great chemistry with Rosie, Oprah, Wayne Brady, and even Rachel Ray but others like Ellen and David letterman not so much.

 

I also don't know why, but I always loved Katie.. Maybe because she comes off grounded like Celine and seems so down to earth. But I must admit I loved the interview she did with Sarah Palin and pretty much let her self destruct on live televison hehe

I liked this interview alot. Celine was really relaxed, happy and open with Katie. That doesn't happen very much these days. Celine really took the time to answer all Katies questions in detail and she really showed her true personality. I think sometimes, depending on who is interviewing Celine, she can be more stand off ish.

 

I think Celine reads the energy of a person and if there feeding her good energy, Celine will return the favor and have lots of energy and be really engaged in the conversation.

 

I like Water And A Flame. Not a huge fan of the raspy parts. I've noticed that Celine uses that raspy sound alot these days. I wonder if she is trying to be raspy intentionally, or is that the sound of her voice getting older and her voice is changing?

 

I personally find that whenever she uses that raspy tone it doesn't really feel like Celine and it's not really my taste because i like perfect clear notes that Celine is famous for. I know she is perfectly capable of singing clear and strong. I just hope there are going to be amazing clear songs on this album with some amazing high notes!

I like the interview. Even though few of the questions have been old questions, but Celine managed to answer them differently. Couple highlights for me was when she was talking about calling kids who are dying, and how she would represent Rene if it happens that he goes first and won't be able to see their kids go to college.

 

I like the melody of Water and a flame in the first place anyway, and the raspy tone does not bother me that much. But I don't really like it that Celine tends to pronounce the "Shh" more heavily these days, like she is singing with a cracker inside her mouth.

I could imagine that postponing and changing the concept has put a lot of pressure on Rene, but when I watched him listening to the song, to me it looked like he was enjoying it. Celine was into it, and when it ended, the way he smiled and celine put her hand on his face, it looked like he was proud of her.

I liked the song from her very much ,i was so afraid she will be influnced by adele and sing in the same way but she was absolutely our celine with her feeling , but someone has to tell her that this new way of lining her eyes doesnt go with her it makes her eyes like not wider but longer if u know what i mean ,she discovered it i think since that show 3 boys and a show if i can recall and her eyes are already beautiful

I don't think she was embarrassed about revealing it.. I think she was just remaining humble in listening to her own song. She's always said at home they don't listen to her music.

I think Rene finds Celine's english career (albums wise) a hell of a lot more strenuous than her french. This particular album i don't think has been plain sailing.

Really liked the interview, but i didn't like Veronic. Her voice, her "impression" of Celine, pulling faces etc. Sorry, just my opinion. She seems a nice enough person tho.

I'm so glad they didn't play Unfinished Songs like I thought they would. But then again, I'm underwhelmed with the songs they previewed.

 

It was also nice to see a relaxed and personable Celine. Too often she's 'wooden' with rehearsed answers.
