Turned on SiriusXM radio this morning on the drive into work and finally heard Incredible get played! Just have to keep requesting it on the Facebook page.

I guess you didn't read my post on the last page. XM introduced the song yesterday evening . Glad it still playing in the daytime. Time to go on FB and request it along with friends who like her.

i think some people need to calm down. I understand we can all get emotional when talking about celine and her music but just because the video hasn't come out yet it doesn't mean it never will or that sony have given up on celine. We all have our own issues with sony- its fair to say they haven't always served our celine well however, people are forgetting that the single has only been officially released for a few days- it takes time to pick up speed, the music video will come, there is no way Rene would allow it to be shelved, it is a huge boost for sales if Celine has a music video WITH neyo. And i'm pretty sure neyo's team also wouldn't allow neyo to take a full day to film it and then not have it released. I would rather wait a little longer and have a better, high quality video launched on the right platform than a rushed job that gets forgotten about quickly.

It's pathetic. 5 stations are playing Incredible--in America. FIVE! Where the hell is the video. Their Decisons this era baffle me beyond all logic. To go on Good Morning America, announce a video, take us behind the scenes, tell us it will be on the Olympics, and then have no coverage during the Olympics, and clearly, no video release---at this point? Is beyond belief. I just.......can't. It infuriates me too much.

 

No wonder the album is OUT of the Billboard 200, and will never even see a Gold certification. She is done in America. Done.

Don't get me wrong i completely agree with you, there is still SO much more they could do to promote the album, however all i was trying to say was that a duet with neyo will be seen as a big thing for celine's team. They will want to focus their attention on it as Neyo is current in the industry. I will openly admit i have little knowledge of the music business and how it works however as a fan i just seem to think thats where they will focus their attention as time goes on. Some fans on this topic seem to think that no music video automatically means it has been shelved which may not necessarily be the case. That quote you posted is very dissapointing though, an attitude like that isn't very helpful from her management.I agree they could be doing more overall, sometimes what little promotion singles get seems forgotten aboiut too quickly, i really hope they start using social media more, we've had a handful of tweets from "teamceline" and one vine?? i think when they first started it. So 100% i agree they can do far much more but i just meant that the music video will come in time, they wouldn't film it and then not use it.

 

I hope Celine can have top 40 success again- she and her music certainly deserve it, however even if the album is pushed as well as it should be by her team i hope we all as fans can just enjoy it anyway without stressing about sales or music videos.

ok i can see some of ur points might be true in this post, but there are a few slighly not-so-right facts that i should clear up here:

 

1. first of all, "incredible" was not released as a single "just a few days ago", it was released back in january over 2 months ago, cuz it was released by the time the video was being filmed back in january (which was filmed for several days almost 2 months ago), the song was released in usa & canada back then, i remember that people on this forum (in fact in this thread here a few pages back), were talking about the song being successful on the canadian & quebec stations, but in the usa the song didnt take off of course, (surprise surprise, right? no pun intended lol), & according to the post by 'dionfanalways' thats right above this, ONLY 5 STATIONS IN THE ENTIRE USA ARE PLAYING "INCREDIBLE" RIGHT NOW AFTER IT WAS RELEASED 2 MONTHS AGO, & I HAVE NOT HEARD IT ON THE RADIO IN MY AREA OR ON TV NOT ONE TIME SINCE IT WAS RELEASED AS WELL!!!!!!!! (& for the people who said that they heard "incredible" played on xm satellite radio & on sirius satellite radio, congradulations that those stations are playing "incredible", thats pretty neat yay, but the thing is, i dont think the satellite, online, & phone app radio stations count as airplay since they are most of the time subscription-based stations & are not free to listen to, unlike regular, ordinary local radio is, & of course the satellite, online, & phone app stations are more likely to play "incredible" since those stations tend to play alot of obscure, non-hit songs way more often than local stations, (cuz i have heard obscured, non-hit songs from celine & many other singers & bands played on a few online radio stations before quite a few times in the past, so that is true)...

 

2. about the part where u said that sony music usa would never shelf ot toss a video, song, or other project behind renes & celines backs, unfortunately i have to disagree w/ u big time about that too, since sony usa has unfortunately done that to celine & rene many times before w/ more than a dozen of celines older music videos, dating all the way back to the early 90s!!!!!!!! heres a few examples for ya: "misled", "nothings broken but my heart", "water from the moon", "think twice", "the last to know", "unison - remix version", (hell i didnt even know that "unison" even had a remix for years until i found the video on youtube, i wonder why there was never a video for the original version of "unison" made that was actually on her album or was played on the radio, at least one that i havent seen on youtube yet & is probably still in hiding lol), "love can move mountains" (yet another video of celines where there was a different version played in the video than the original version that was actually on her album or was played on the radio, that is kinda odd to me lol), "cant live w/ you, cant live w/out you", "did you give enough love", "if walls could talk", "goodbyes the saddest word", etc... (& those are just the videos that i can name off the top of my head at the moment lol, to find some more obscure celine music videos, just go to the "survivor - celine dion" thread where there is a list of all of her music videos ever made and there are many others on that list that i didnt name on here that were also not released at all years ago until youtube came around & a few more that i have never even seen before or even knew existed until now lol)...

 

3. & right now, rene has been very sick & is taking time off from work, so he most likely has no say so w/ the music video or any other projects going on at the moment, & same thing w/ celine, as shes more busy tending to rene & performing in vegas these days & im pretty sure sony would never consult celine herself about the video or any other projects after she does her recording, filming, or whatever, when it comes to releasing songs, videos, or anything else anyway, (for example: when celine recorded almost 30 songs for her lmbtl album but only half of them made the album, that WAS NOT celines decision AT ALL im pretty sure), so unfortunately it seems sony always end up being the ones w/ the final say so & all, so celine & rene most likely have no say so w/ this video, (especially w/ what has happened w/ rene during the past few months), so sony are doing whatever the hell they want w/ the video & based on what they have done to previous celine music videos over the years, incredible just might not see the light of day until years from now or maybe it might not ever get released, since according to u all on here, sony usa are now waiting for incredible to become a hit in the usa before releasing the video, but lets face the music folks, the song has been released for 2 months & most of us have STILL NOT HEARD THE SONG BEING PLAYED AT ALL, so i highly doubt the song is gonna be a hit, THE SONG ISNT EVEN ON ANY CHARTS IN THE USA RIGHT NOW, ITS NOT ON ANY BILLBOARD OR I-TUNES CHARTS OR ANYWHERE, I KNOW THIS IS TRUE CUZ I HAVE CHECKED THEM ALREADY THIS WEEK & INCREDIBLE IS NOVWHERE TO BE FOUND)... if its gonna be a hit, it better happen really, really soon or its gonna be way too late since most radio stations are still ignoring the song at this point & arent touching it...

 

4. & about what u said about most singers & bands waiting several weeks to have their music videos released after their singles are released, ITS NOT MOST OF THE TIME TRUE, AT LEAST HERE IN THE USA, now im not talking about the uk, canada, or any other countries here since i dont live in those countries & i dont know how everything works in other countries, im in the usa & im talking about how everything works here in the usa, cuz i do realize that many of u are from other countries & not the usa, so u all most likely have different ways which things are handled compared to the usa which i can understand, so im explaining how the usa handles the music videos & singles of most singers & bands out there: MOST OF THE TIME, THE SINGLES & VIDEOS ARE RELEASED PRETTY CLOSE TOGETHER THESE DAYS, UNLIKE SINGLES & VIDEOS WERE YEARS AGO, & IN MORE RECENT CASES, SOME SINGLES & VIDEOS ARE RELEASED ON THE SAME DAY!!!!!!!! the most recent examples: beyonce, mariah carey, katy perry, & miley cyrus, who all are very popular female singers these days, (even mariah who is almost the same age as celine is btw), ALL OF THEM HAD THEIR MUSIC VIDEOS RELEASED RIGHT AFTER OR EVEN ON THE SAME DAY AS THEIR SINGLES & ALL OF THEM ARE ENJOYING BIG SUCCESS, EVEN MARIAH, IN THE USA RIGHT NOW (WHILE POOR CELINE IS VIRTUALLY NON-EXISTENT IN THE USA EXCEPT FOR US FANS OF COURSE & FOR THE CONCERT-GOERS IN VEGAS LOL, HELL MANY PEOPLE HERE IN THE USA HAVE COMMENTED ON SOME OF HER YOUTUBE VIDEOS THAT THEY STILL THINK THAT SHE IS EITHER DEAD OR IS NOW RETIRED FROM THE MUSIC BUSINESS, WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS DEFINETELY NOT TRUE)... If there's any reason for the delay at all, it's Rene's health. We don't know what kid of promo they had planned after Christmas, but we do now know that Rene had cancer again. You know Celine probably insisted on slowing everything down and doing as my minimal as possible professionally so that she could be there for Rene.

My thoughts exactly! Everything probably came to a screeching halt because of Rene's health. Not to say Celine does not care but Rene and her family are her #1 priority everything else is secondary.

1. first of all, "incredible" was not released as a single "just a few days ago", it was released back in january over 2 months ago, cuz it was released by the time the video was being filmed back in january (which was filmed for several days almost 2 months ago), the song was released in usa & canada back then, i remember that people on this forum (in fact in this thread here a few pages back), were talking about the song being successful on the canadian & quebec stations, but in the usa the song didnt take off of course, (surprise surprise, right? no pun intended lol), & according to the post by 'dionfanalways' thats right above this, ONLY 5 STATIONS IN THE ENTIRE USA ARE PLAYING "INCREDIBLE" RIGHT NOW AFTER IT WAS RELEASED 2 MONTHS AGO, & I HAVE NOT HEARD IT ON THE RADIO IN MY AREA OR ON TV NOT ONE TIME SINCE IT WAS RELEASED AS WELL!!!!!!!! (& for the people who said that they heard "incredible" played on xm satellite radio & on sirius satellite radio, congradulations that those stations are playing "incredible", thats pretty neat yay, but the thing is, i dont think the satellite, online, & phone app radio stations count as airplay since they are most of the time subscription-based stations & are not free to listen to, unlike regular, ordinary local radio is, & of course the satellite, online, & phone app stations are more likely to play "incredible" since those stations tend to play alot of obscure, non-hit songs way more often than local stations, (cuz i have heard obscured, non-hit songs from celine & many other singers & bands played on a few online radio stations before quite a few times in the past, so that is true)...

 

2. about the part where u said that sony music usa would never shelf ot toss a video, song, or other project behind renes & celines backs, unfortunately i have to disagree w/ u big time about that too, since sony usa has unfortunately done that to celine & rene many times before w/ more than a dozen of celines older music videos, dating all the way back to the early 90s!!!!!!!! heres a few examples for ya: "misled", "nothings broken but my heart", "water from the moon", "think twice", "the last to know", "unison - remix version", (hell i didnt even know that "unison" even had a remix for years until i found the video on youtube, i wonder why there was never a video for the original version of "unison" made that was actually on her album or was played on the radio, at least one that i havent seen on youtube yet & is probably still in hiding lol), "love can move mountains" (yet another video of celines where there was a different version played in the video than the original version that was actually on her album or was played on the radio, that is kinda odd to me lol), "cant live w/ you, cant live w/out you", "did you give enough love", "if walls could talk", "goodbyes the saddest word", etc... (& those are just the videos that i can name off the top of my head at the moment lol, to find some more obscure celine music videos, just go to the "survivor - celine dion" thread where there is a list of all of her music videos ever made and there are many others on that list that i didnt name on here that were also not released at all years ago until youtube came around & a few more that i have never even seen before or even knew existed until now lol)...

 

3. & right now, rene has been very sick & is taking time off from work, so he most likely has no say so w/ the music video or any other projects going on at the moment, & same thing w/ celine, as shes more busy tending to rene & performing in vegas these days & im pretty sure sony would never consult celine herself about the video or any other projects after she does her recording, filming, or whatever, when it comes to releasing songs, videos, or anything else anyway, (for example: when celine recorded almost 30 songs for her lmbtl album but only half of them made the album, that WAS NOT celines decision AT ALL im pretty sure), so unfortunately it seems sony always end up being the ones w/ the final say so & all, so celine & rene most likely have no say so w/ this video, (especially w/ what has happened w/ rene during the past few months), so sony are doing whatever the hell they want w/ the video & based on what they have done to previous celine music videos over the years, incredible just might not see the light of day until years from now or maybe it might not ever get released, since according to u all on here, sony usa are now waiting for incredible to become a hit in the usa before releasing the video, but lets face the music folks, the song has been released for 2 months & most of us have STILL NOT HEARD THE SONG BEING PLAYED AT ALL, so i highly doubt the song is gonna be a hit, THE SONG ISNT EVEN ON ANY CHARTS IN THE USA RIGHT NOW, ITS NOT ON ANY BILLBOARD OR I-TUNES CHARTS OR ANYWHERE, I KNOW THIS IS TRUE CUZ I HAVE CHECKED THEM ALREADY THIS WEEK & INCREDIBLE IS NOVWHERE TO BE FOUND)... if its gonna be a hit, it better happen really, really soon or its gonna be way too late since most radio stations are still ignoring the song at this point & arent touching it...

HELL BEYONCE RELEASED SEVERAL VIDEOS ALL AT ONCE FROM HER NEW ALBUMS & IM PRETTY SURE THAT IT DIDNT TAKE HER TEAM SEVERAL MONTHS TO MAKE ALL THOSE VIDEOS EITHER... like i said before, celine & neyo filmed the video almost 2 months ago, we all know the video is done by now, sony is just holding on to the video, & they are taking advantage of rene being sick so they assume that they can do whatever they want w/ the video since nobody else can stop them since celines & renes hands are tied cuz they have so much going on in their personal lives & sony is taking full advantage of it, im sure of that... & LIKE I SAID BEFORE MANY, MANY TIMES NOW, I DONT BLAME CELINE & RENE FOR ANY OF THIS AT ALL WHEN IT COMES TO THIS VIDEO, I FULLY BLAME SONY WHO IS MISMANAGING EVERYTHING AS ALWAYS!!!!!!!!

Seems I have the wrong date for the single release- haven't had much time to be on the forum lately so rely heavily on fan sites on twitter for my info- a read a tweet the other day which said incredible was officially released on march 3rd! So obviously that's why I said the music video could take a few weeks. If I'd have known it was released in January then I probably would have expected the video a little sooner but same as you said, I'm sure Rene's health is number one priority at the moment and the video and promotion can wait. As celine fans we should support them no matter what and if that means waiting a little longer for a video and having reduced promotion then I'm fine with that. I'd rather see rene healthy and celine happy.

 

And although it would be amazing for celine to have the chart success she deserves again- I think people are a little too hung up on it. Celine has even said herself she's not here to compete, she makes albums because she wants to and she enjoys it. She doesn't need to be number one in the charts anymore. You only need to look back at her career and realise how much success she's already had. Her family is her priority now and her career will always be second, the shows in vegas are a huge success and she can choose when she wants to release albums. I think everything else will happen in time.

 

Yes her record label haven't done a very good job at promoting this album, but at the end of the day celine has a strong fanbase that will always buy her albums and it's fantastic that new album has attracted other audiences. Overall I just think some people are stressing over this a little too much, celine has had one of the most successful careers in music history and as fans we should celebrate that instead of being so negative about things. Seriously I think we should just be grateful that new albums keep coming.

Also for you to say that celine career would be finished worldwide is very over dramatic- she has millions of fans worldwide who would continue to buy her albums. Americas opinion is not the be all and end all of the music scene. Also, there is not 7 billion people in the USA- there's only 7 billion people in the world so I highly doubt all of them are living in the USA and all of them no longer like Celine's music.

And about the point about nobody offering celine any songs is silly- she's celine dion! She has her pick of thousands of songs! So many songwriters would kill for the chance to work with celine!

 

Also, she's still the number one act in vegas and has been since she began so I highly doubt caesars would end her contract early when she was estimated to make them $350 million a year from ticket sales. She's the queen of vegas- they won't let her go that easy!
