Is "TPOL" from O'Lympia 100% Live? Listening to the concert now, even though I voted for Memphis.

It was first used on TCOML tour (1994-1995) and she probably recorded it in late 1993, most probably...:

That video is not actually Celine recording the 1994 playback. If you listen closely it's the album version that is playing. This video was discussed a while ago on the forum, it seems the whole scene was staged for something on TV. You can tell how bad their acting is through what they're saying to each other! :giggle:

Haha -- Celine saying "You're such a nice record producer" is particularly funny . . especially since David Foster produced TPOL, not Thomas Wuerger!

You can very easily tell it was staged. Celine acted very badly saying "You're such a nice producer" :(

Because she herself wasn't overly pleased with how her performance turned out and didn't want the concert released and stopped it from happening.

I agree with those who don't understand the fascination with the "omgBLONDHAIR" A New Day... footage. I know there was a fan meeting when they shot that (at least I think there was...), but unless you were there, I cannot understand why you would want something nearly identical to what you already have.

 

Having said that, I would LOVE a remastered version of Au couer du stade. The whole thing was shot and mixed horribly... which is sad because it was an amazing concert. I'd also like to see the American leg released as well... maybe in a combo pack together.

 

I know there were rumors years ago about releasing her All The Way TV special on DVD. Obviously that never happened, but I think it would be awesome to release all of her CBS specials as a package.

 

But, as many have said, I'd REALLY like to see all of these (and more) released in a box set. Maybe as a special 35th Anniversary set. Many artists have done this, including The Beatles, Bon Jovi and Melissa Etheridge, who is releasing a 25th Anniversary box set with live and unreleased material included with all of her studio work later this year.

 

We can dream...

au coeur du stade digitally remastered for bluray.. that would be the ultimate dream for me.. and if Celine herself cancelled the Millennium Concert dvd release, then there is no chance we will ever see that released on dvd. As for Au Coeur Du stade - too much dreamy shots, too soft. Give me the real deal please, and indeed better editing. But if they will release it on dvd, I don't see them editing the shots, they will probably remaster the tape and that is it. What I do hope though is that it will a large screen 16:9 release instead of only half of my tv filling - 4:3! Edited by browseceline

The Céline... une seule fois concert will be available until november 9th on illico.

Don't you think it's a great timing to release it on DVD for Christmas? :whistling:

Definitely a tough decision between the Millenium concert and A'l Olympia. Memphis I could take or leave......just can't stand the jump-suit thing lol.
