LOL That's the most superficial thing I've read in a long time. I swear. People don't listen to that concert because it's in French. They buy it and pretend that they've listened, but if they really had they'd still have their jaw on the floor.

Lol, we are getting off track here but I like her hair in this stage of her career, in this concert l'Olympia. I've always liked it a little darker.
I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

I DID listen to the album and her voice is in top shape but i am not looking forward for another TCOML type of concert

I think I voted for Live à l'Olympia for all the reasons you have all already mentioned.

But I have to say I have second thoughts..If i could vote again I would have gone with Live at Winter Garden Theatre, since we arleady have an official release of Live à l'Olympia (even on a CD), as someone mentioned above.

Time flies...

I'm all the way for "Live à l'Olympia"... Singing in Olympia theater in Paris is a great privilege for any artist, not only for the francophone ones. This stage hosted so many big names including Édith Piaf and Jacques Brel.

This concert should have been released on video and God knows why it wasn't. I'm only guessing is that they released a home video of "The Colour of my Love" concert from Québec (the one with playbacks), so perhaps they didn't want to release another concert at the time. I actually never saw any clip from L'Olympia '94 except from some rehearsals.

It is such a good concert and Céline's voice was perfect... simpy at it's best. I heard that she sang "Oxygène" that night. I would die to hear it... That concert prepared a terrain for the big thing that happened few months later... a release of "D'eux".

 

Concerning other options in this pool, I see only interests for the Millennium concert because it was unique one. She performed lot of old hits like Unison, Des mots qui sonnent or Incognito.

I don't care so much about a "blond" A New Day nor Memphis since I already have it on VHS. Wintergarden theater concert should be nice to have though...

I bought "Live à l'Olympia" a good few years back and I have to say that it is absolutely stunning, but, if I were to choose I would love to have "Live In Memphis" released. Celine is in top shape.
