I wonder if Oxygene was the only song cut from the Olympia CD...

I wonder that too. The setlist is so different to the usual English TCOML tour setlist, it's more like the DCP Tour...

I'm a bit disappointed I'm the only vote still for Winter garden theatre. It's surely the best. We really have a lack of material from that time. Setlist wise, it provides us a different catalogue of songs that we haven't heard live since. Literally, live in some cases... The only downside is that the show was a bit short. But vocally she was pretty well on point. I feel she sang this the way she should have -there were no shortcuts, or cutting out of certain high notes only to be replaced with awkward adlibs. Everything was sung perfectly live like it should have been and she sounded great. The arrangements were full length, which to me this is almost more important than the fact she sings it live... I honestly can't stand the cutting down and butchering of songs. Sorry, but I have no desire to see the 30 second version of Because You Loved Me she struggled her way thru in Vegas in 2003, nor do I care about the shortened performance of Beauty And The Beast in the Memphis DVD (or a Jamaica DVD which is further even more shortened). The Olympia concert is a good choice, but considering we have an official release already in amazing quality, it wouldn't be what I want to see most. Personally her concert at Winder Garden is how I'd like all her concerts to be. Primarily her own material, full arrangements, completely live, good vocals.

 

I'd love to see Winter Garden on DVD, too -- it's just that I'd love to see the Millenium Concert more . .there was a unique energy and emotion that night . .the end of an era in Celine's career . . . plus all the unique moments . . .the countdown to midnight and the bursts of fireworks as the year changes, Rene takes Celine in his arms, and her whole family comes on stage . . . plus the duets with Bryan Adams, Garou, etc . . . that was a unique and extraordinary concert.

 

And. .though it's not one of the choices in the poll and I don't think it'll ever happen, I'd love to have a DVD of an English version of a regular LTAL concert . . since that's what I saw, and I'd love to have a memento of that incredible experience.

How about some of the footage shot in LTAL tour....we have nothing from that epic era! All we have is shitty Au Coeur Du Stade...

 

Or something more from Celine Dion or Unison tour that might be out there? Or Colour Of My Love era....the only thing she put out was heavily lipped.

 

But yeah, my first vote would go to more LTAL stuff.

That's what the Olympia concert is for! The BEST example of that era is there, though in french mostly, but still the best vocal display of those days :blush:

I hesitated a lot between this and 'A l'Olympia' but...eventually...voted for Olympia.

I have a feeling those not voting for Olympia are doing so because it's a francophone show and they don't listen to the album simply because of that.

Olympia is Celine at her absolute best. Her vocals were never closer to perfection.

Noooooooooooo!! I love the Olympia show as well. I didn't vote for that because I have another preference, but the truth is that regardless of the one I voted for, I'd be super happy if any of those were released on DVD. :yes:

But out of the other options, I would really like to get the Millenium concert! Back in the days, I used to watch it literally every night when I came back from school haha

I would love to have the 'Live à l'Olympia' DVD as it's such an important event in Céline's career that it would be a shame if they did not record it at that time.. Few months back André Coutu told me he doesn't remember having seen any camera recording the whole show.. Edited by CELINO

I think I did actually read somewhere not too long ago that there were plans to release the concert at the Olympia theatre on VHS but the release was cancelled because of the success of D'eux, which resulted on the Live à Paris home video release. So yes, according to that they should have that actually filmed.

AKA: La Derniere De Céline, it's the show she did in Montreal on New Years Eve 1999. It was shown live on TV that night on Canadian TV. The planned video release was cancelled. I was lucky enough to be there and it was the greatest night of my Céline life. But as we already have it (albeit on home recorded video) my vote went to A L'Olympia. But of course, I'd buy every single one of these options anyway!

I've seen just snippets of this show, and I loved it :yes: Many of the songs I was listening at that time were performed on this show :yes: It would be great to also have it, along with all of the others listed here :thumbsup2: So lucky to have been there John !!! :yes:

I just don't know WTF they don't released the millennium concert... Live in Memphis and LTAL ENGLISH version..in DVD or now, in Blu-Ray. Maybe one day, in some deluxe edition or box, we'll have something of that era..
