No birthday post from Celine? That's worrisome:(

 

Yea that is VERY WORRISOME! As long-time fans, most of us know that even though Celine is not much into posting on social media, promoting herself, etc... But she ALWAYS usually posts birthday messages to her family, ESPECIALLY HER KIDS!

 

& like I had already mentioned in a previous post of mine from last week, I am starting to think there could be MUCH WORSE HEALTH ISSUES going on with Celine than we know about right now... Just like back in 2014 we went through THE SAME EXACT SITUATION with Celine when Rene was suffering from Cancer again, she had cancelled almost a whole year of shows! & I remember IT WAS QUITE A FEW MONTHS before we heard a peep from Celines Team about what was going with & that Renes cancer issues was really bad... Now I am DEFINEYELY HOPING that what is currently going on with Celine is reallythat bad or anything, but the fact of her cancelling so many shows for months ahead, does make me worry, especially as Celine has done that in the past because of health emergency situations... Sending prayers! 😔🙏

The complete and utter radio silence not just from Celine but also her team, and extended team at Sony, is just baffling.

 

I get she’s ill. We all do, and I’m not expecting her to be sitting on social media all day filming videos or providing updates. We have no right to expect updates as to her health but any updates whatsoever would be appreciated.

We are now in the midst of the longest “break” of Céline’s career. I get Covid and illness have made this the case but it’s still the longest break she’s ever had. Even during her 2000–2002 break we seen and heard from her. Sony continued to release things.

 

As others have said how can obscure artists release limited edition CDs / DVDs for their fans but there can’t be even limited demand for a Celine album of rarities or a new DVD? Nothing makes sense.

 

I can only determine there are behind the scenes legal issues or whatever getting stuff released. I cannot for a second believe that not a single person at TeamCeline or Sony just don’t give a damn. However past experiences may suggest that is the case.

 

All very strange. All very frustrating.

Release a dvd, release the Lying Down music video, stream her Hyde Park show… just do something the useless halfwits!

 

No wonder there is so much crazy speculation around… not that I believe it but they do nothing at the same time to put peoples minds at rest like 137 days or whatever until the first show of the CWT, we can’t wait!

She's been inactive for nearly 3 years now, so what if most of the staff is simply...gone?

 

As for the twins birthday: I suspect there's a reason that has nothing to do with her health. Maybe one of them doesn't like the attention. Or she's consciously shielding them like someone else suggested.

We are 4 months away from her hyped up movie debut, so that's one tiny relief. At least we get to see something from her.

If Celine is still ill I think most of her die hard fans along with the general public would completely understand HER radio silence. She should rightly focus on her health.

 

That doesn’t excuse her team tho. Who *is* working for her now? Who DOES post all these tributes and “please buy a T-shirt” posts on social media?

 

Is *anyone* at Sony working for Celine? Does anyone care? Is anyone going into meetings suggesting a new or rare Celine release? A DVD boxset? It would appear not. I find it utterly baffling that after all she has brought to Sony over the years it would appear that one of their legacy artists matters not a bit to them. Not one bit.

Yes I have mentioned things that I heard that’s correct, and most of those things never happened which is also correct… but those final decisions were not down to me and so never once said they were confirmed either.

 

During the A new day, Taking Chances, My Love The Essential Album, Loved Me Back To Life and Ashes news that I shared with the forum over the years, there was some info. I received from various sources that was true, that changed slightly, was delayed, or in the end never happened at all… some of which I shared and others I didn’t.

 

Since we have been starved of info. in the last 3 years I have decided to share everything I have heard.

 

Yes, hugely disappointing that none of which has come to pass, but again I don’t make the final decisions I’m simply sharing what I’ve heard/read.

 

If you don’t like it simply mute me, but to be brutally honest, I don’t give a s*** what you think!

What really scares me that if Celine does come back, that she won’t be able to ‘perform’ like she once did or wants to- because of health issues/spasms/muscle issues. Imagine a Celine Concert where she just stands there like Mariah and can’t even walk down stairs by herself- no high kicks, air violin, salutes, falling on knees climactic moments- this terrifies me.

 

It is incredulous to think they are not even attempting to ‘keep her in the public eye’ in any way. As Shaun said up above, all we see are bastarding T-shirt promos and them trying to flog Courage tour merch, which is we equally worrying.

 

Her social media channels are like a depressing obituary to every bugger who dies. Nothing else. There is no team looking after Celine - there is no management apparently either, we can’t just blame Sony- a manager’s job is to do just that, manage a public perception of the artist and all we have at the moment is understandable misery.

What's funny is that many fans were making these points about poor communication from her team earlier on in the pandemic and all it did was cause havoc/fights on the Forum. Some foolishly tried to assert that said fans were harassing Celine and "needed their mommy Celine". Now, even the sycophants are admitting there is a problem.

 

The point remains the same, though. If Celine is still not recovered, she deserves all the time she needs. But Sony and her team need to step up. The vinyl releases are a good step forward, but the closer it gets to the new tour dates, people are going to start clammoring again for more info.
