I just don't understand why they couldn't ask Celine to correct her English and say, "All twists and a turn" instead of "All twists and a turnS." Like, why?! Drives me crazy.

Do you know where i can find a real HQ mp3 of the original version? I found a link in the multimedia section, it said that is a HQ from BD rip but i think its not the best quality that we can found. The sound is low.

Isn't there a promo cd? if it was aired on the radio ther must be!

I hate the new version, not that it is bad but it's so much worse then the movie version...so vibrant, so light and powerful, so full of energy, made me want to scream how beautiful life is! I'm crazy in love!

A little bit off topic but I wish she would of played the role of the music teacher in this movie some one mentioned this earlier I think. She would of been good in it I think!

Although I like both versions of the song, I'm disappointed that we never got an official release of the movie version. To me, the movie version is more of an anthem that I can sing at the top of my lungs, and the album version is a more "chill" version. I just wish they had actually included the movie version on the soundtrack, or as a bonus to the new album, so that I would have a quality version to listen to too, lol. :P

She sings "All twists and turns" not "and a turns" the word "and" just has 2 notes.

This little gem has become one of my favorites in the new album. I find myself playing it over and over again . . it's not as initially impressive as some of the other songs, but it's upbeat, fun, and beautiful . .and just does not get old! Love!!

Perhaps but Id say that the album version is much more modern sounding. And I personally prefer it over the movie version but that's just me.

I didn't like it before, but now it really soothes me. I like to think that even when we die, we are still unfinished songs...

ANYONE ELSE noticed the very bad editing mistake at the very end?

 

I'm a music producer too so its very noticeable to me... it sounds very very amateurish.

 

 

When Céline goes "you can write the song and write the story" in the original take she then went on with the "hey hey"s that you can actually hear in the movie version. But here, the cut is very abrupt and you can hear how they cut Céline while catching her breath for the next phrase, and then added some delay to it so you actually hear her cut-off breath on repeat. It's a turn off for me... :s

 

Overall I like the rest of the production, I agree that it sounds very "ANDHC era".

 

I noticed the same thing but it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I never liked the "hey hey's" though. (Actually, the only thing I don't like about the song is EVERY "hey hey" in the song. The "hey hey"'s sound cheesy to me.

Yeah, with you on that.. However, if you'll look at the list of winners from 2000 onwards, you'll notice that not every entry is as strong as, let's say, Adele's last year. So, there have been weaker songs winning, or at least nominated, in the category. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_Award_for_Best_Original_Song

 

Warren has been whining about the award for ages now, so they'll might grant her with one or two nominations this year.

 

Only imagine this song being nominated, it would give beautiful exposure!
