here it is, I tried to make the file a bit better, added a intro and fading out. One thing I can't take away is the loud clapping sounds of the audience ( as you know I hate clapping audiences) well hope you like this:

i just watched the special!!! i love it!!! althought it can be better!! but the Edith Piaf part is OMG really amazing if u just listen to her singing u would have thought it's the real Piaf singing Celine's song!! it's something!

Thanks! I like this one much more than the album version. I can't stand her voice on the album version. She sounds like she has a cold and an angina... I don't find it at all charming nor emotional... What a waste of a good song. I really don't understand... The voice is amazing in all the other songs.

No i doubt Céline was not happy, she was more shocked than anything to hear Véronic singing like that. And when Véronic impersonated Ginette Reno, she said (with Ginette's voice) "I'd like to sing Zizi. I like Zizi" (instead of Ziggy). And Zizi is a slang word for the "male organ"

But I remember someone saying something about lipping... and from what I could tell (and I'm' definitely not an expert!) she sang everything live... and SO BEAUTIFULLY! It's so amazing to finally hear some variations in her music!

 

But, did she lip anything and I'm just missing it? Just curious! Thanks!

Yeah someone said something about lippity lip while she was singing and I thought enough already! So while they were showing a shot of her in the recording studio, I (sacasticly) replied to that "lippity" comment by saying, oh look she's lipping right now! (meaning she was lipping even in the studio on the original recording)

She did lip, but only 2 songs...

Que toi au monde, it was a shorter version but still lipped.

La mer et l'enfant was lipped too, but nobody cares, cause they showed Celine and the twins 95% of the time during that song.

 

the rest was completely live. and she sounded great, except Parler A Mon Pere imo

Thanks for the info! And she did indeed sound AMAZING! The Star Academy medley was amazing, so lovely to hear all those adlibs... I wish we could have a HQ mp3 of only her parts

and the rest is still to come. I used the audio from redheads higher quality video and remixed it in audio software

I have to say what a great special this was. Seeing her again and hearing her sing live with such an amazing voice free of nasality and vocal tics is an absolute pleasure. I am extremely happy with this french album's era so far, it truly is Dion heaven for me ever since the album tracks started leaking. My deluxe version should arrive tomorrow or Monday, and I can't wait to add this piece of art to my collection.

 

It would be nice for her to someday sing some of her songs from 1F4T and D'Elles in those Star Ac medleys. These two albums, although not on the same level of her 3 90s french albums, still have some gems on them that deserve to not be forgotten!
