Christina Aguilera to sing The Prayer on The Voice

I do think Christina did a good job on the song, but the thing, as anything related to Xtina, is that she's so full of herself that even in the performance, she was the only voice I heard on there, She totally overshadowed Cris Mann, and then calling Tony Luca's SON his Daughter was totally out of line... That's why you gotta love Adam Levine on the show for not having anything from her... and after The Wanted/Bieber (even if i don't like them) episodes with her attitude...I can certainly say I've lost any respect I had towards her.

I like Xtina's voice a lot but i dont like her, she is rude! did anyone see her using her Cell phone on the air after other contestants were singing? WTF! She is annoying and rude and come on people now she is sick!!? yeah she realized how terrible she did on the song so its safe to say "im sick" please!!!! her voice is not good enough for this song, she lacks the soft side Celine has while singing this song. She is fake, annoying and dresses like a whore. I think it was a HUGE mistake to take on to this big song for both of them because he isn't good enough either. BLAH!

I think she said she was sick before she sang. Plus, our generation is always on the phone. So, your point is?

jejeje obviously she's a better singer but it's really her fault when the whole point is to showcase THE VOICE of the guy you are coaching.

After Bieber's appearance he wen't to hug all the coaches and Xtina was waiting for him with a "don't come near me" strained arm until there was no other choice, and then she looked really uncomfortable...C'mon he's just a kid....and The Wanted said something like the whole experience on The Voice was great but meeting Xtina calling her a “total b*tch”

If this whole thing is scripted for raitings, I really think Xtina's team are missing the point....her Maturity is just as she had never left Mickey Mouse Club

I guess this pretty much answers the question on other topic about Celine not being Diva enough.... I hope she never gets this low

Yeah, you're right about people always being on the phone. Still, manners and etiquette are important. They should be considered by all, regardless of the situation.

This is not a comment against what you just said "PaulQ", because I know that you're just stating what many people say and do.

People use excuses, but they don't "excuse them" from being considerate and polite. Manners never go out of style. If Christina was on the phone, as some of you were saying, then that shows lack of character. Of course, I didn't see it. So, I truly don't know how to judge the situation, and there might be something going on that we (the audience) isn't aware of. I would have to know the circumstances before I made a complete judgment. Of course, first impressions are important. Actions do speak louder than words.

this is exactly what i think about celine's version on "man's world",sorry my friends but christina's version of "man's world" is much batter then celine.
the voice of celine is Very gentle, no volume, fragile,for soul music.
and Because of these Properties celine has the best voice for songs like "the prayer" "my heart will go on" "i surrender" she has a very gentle voice.

I don't think Celine did a bad job on "Man's World" at all actually. Although, her accent did make some of the words a little hard to understand, but that's the arrangement of the song. I actually enjoy this part of the TC concert. However, my favorite version of this song is by Cher. A lot of people don't think Cher has a great voice. However, Cher covered this song on her album of the same name and it's probably one of her best vocal performances of her career. Cher's got a very sexy, deep and sultry sound to her voice, and I love her singing this song.

xtina has a more Rough voice[rugged,coarse,uneven,tough,ragged,gnarled,hirsute]and deep voice in the mid range than celine,but celine has more powerful voice in the high notes.

celine has a very Thin and delicate mid tone compared to xtina.and this is the reason why xtina sound better in soul music than ceilne.

The Grammy performance is from 1999 and it was not live because Andrea was sick so they had to lip-sync the song.

I like her...but I feel like when she sings live in english, she never completely forms her words. So it just sounds like noise coming from her mouth lol. I can't understand what she's singing.

However, Cher covered this song on her album of the same name and it's probably one of her best vocal performances of her career. I grew up with Sonny and Cher, and so I have always loved Cher and her singing. Cher's rendition of this song tho' is not my "cup of tea" at all. She sounds so much better singing other songs. I guess it just goes to show ya that we all have different tastes, which is fine. Variety is the "spice of life", as they say!!! :yes:

Thanks for the info. I guess that it must be pretty obvious how she's acting or all those shows wouldn't have picked up on it. That's too bad that she feels the need to say those things.

What I'm about to state is not necessarily pertaining to Christina, but there are some people who feel the need to be negative about others so that they'll then feel better about themselves. That's just an observation that I've noticed and picked up on thru the years.
