I'm excited to see it. I don't know why people are bitching. I guess that's just the way everyone is these days. Oops... Lol... Like her or not, she's acknowledged around the world as a great singer and it's exciting for her to as well acknowledge Celine and one of her "originals" (because we all know probably more than half the hits are not originals)... As many times as Celine covers someone else because of respect for the artist or song I don't think ya'll should be flacking on Christina when she's complimenting your woman...

It seems like Christina has very rarely ever acknowledged Celine. And, because of that, I've always thought she didn't like Celine. Who knows. But it's nice for her to finally say something -- considering Celine was so complimentary of Christina back on her Tyra Banks interview in 2006.

It's not just Celine fans. It's any big fans of anyone or anything. It's human nature. Sports, entertainment, etc. People naturally take things to the extreme.

 

But I agree that it's best to keep things in check. And to respect the many talents out there.

Christina has a very beautiful tone and her voice is great, but she doesn't know how to use it properly. Her singing technique is a no no in any singing school, and probably the worst of all the vocal divas. She insists on singing beyond her range and it comes out off tune and screechy. But when she sings in her range (i'm talking chest range which now is barely up to C5), she sings beautifully. Let's hope she won't try to do so many riffs and runs on this song like she usually likes to do because the song isn't meant to have them like she does.

I can be respectful but at the same time i don't like her. It has nothing to do with Celine being superior or anything.

I think that she's a good singer, but sometimes she does too many runs (in my opinion). I still think that she sounds pretty good, and I hope that she does a good job with "The Prayer". I'm grateful that she gave a "shout out" to Celine too.

 

I don't know how she should sing according to vocal experts. So, I can't comment on that aspect of her singing. I'll be honest tho', I haven't heard her sing in a long time. The last thing was the movie "Burlesque".

 

I agree that there are a lot of great singers in the world. I might like a lot of others as well, but none of them will ever be number 1 in my book like Celine is.

I see what you're saying, and I guess that I rather agree with you. She does over sing too much to the point that it takes away from what could be thought of as good. She does over do it a bit (according to my taste).
