It wasn't bad at all! People were commenting that she was sick. So, that might explain the breath control that was mentioned. I still prefer Celine, but Christina did well. I think she's a good singer. Better than a lot of them out there.

I think the male singer doesn't have the voice to sing this song, especially compared to Josh Groban or Andrea Boccelli. However, I think Christina was quite a *CENSORED* for overshadow him like that, Celine would never do that, she did sang it well though.

Great voice, great performance, but I didn't like some parts of it.

Celine does it soooo much better, not saying Christina sings bad, but she just doesn;t deliver emotions like Celine does, and she doesn't sound so majestic as Celine does in her version. And well, this is I think what you can expect when Christina sings this song. She is a good vocalist but I prefer Celine's version way more. And about the male singer, he does not have the Andrea Bocelli or the Josh Groban capabilities. So all in all this performance is okay but not stunning or amazing or giving goosebumps...

I like Xtina's voice a lot but i dont like her, she is rude! did anyone see her using her Cell phone on the air after other contestants were singing? WTF! She is annoying and rude and come on people now she is sick!!? yeah she realized how terrible she did on the song so its safe to say "im sick" please!!!! her voice is not good enough for this song, she lacks the soft side Celine has while singing this song. She is fake, annoying and dresses like a whore. I think it was a HUGE mistake to take on to this big song for both of them because he isn't good enough either. BLAH!

I liked it as well, and I think Christina did a good job with the notes and stuff, but her voice isn't made for that song. Probably I'm only saying that because I know how it sounds when Céline sings it... and I think Céline voice sounds much better on this song. I guess, if I wouldn't have known the song from Céline before, I'd have said that it was an awesome performance without any ifs and buts.

Christina singing the prayer is like Kesha recording Ave Maria. Be honest why even wear a top in that dress? That wasn't cleavage , that was just making sure to be able to be on air. Cheap.

this is exactly what i think about celine's version on "man's world",sorry my friends but christina's version of "man's world" is much batter then celine.

the voice of celine is Very gentle, no volume, fragile,for soul music.

and Because of these Properties celine has the best voice for songs like "the prayer" "my heart will go on" "i surrender" she has a very gentle voice.

You mean the song on the grammies where Christina was growling and then screamed the high note? The song that was a total mess and all her fans rave as being one of the best ever performances? Celine's performance is at least not straining, it is powerful and controlled, and she sings it with such ease. As much as I love Christina, I wasn't impressed with her performance but I really loved the fact, that she toned down her over-singing and the restrained vocals were easier on the ears than most of her other live performances. But yes, she should really get proper training on her breathing technique cos it seems very out of control. Anyway, good to see her give props for Celine for a change.

 

Oh, and Celine's version of Man's World is as bad as Christina's, if not worse. Neither should sing that song. No matter how much fans praise it, the banshee in them just ruins this beautiful song.

I think Christina did great it NEVER matters who sings a song originally in this case Celine and Andréa, but Christina did a great job.. was it better then the original NO! but who I don't know too many songs better than the original... Even the original version of "at last" is better than Celines version just like Celines original version of the prayer is better then Christina and i think that the main reason why is because she was the first one to interrupt the lyric and perform it. If Celine would sing the "Beautiful" by Christina, As much as I love Celine it won't be as good as Christinas version. Its all about ownership of a song.
