isurrender Posted March 12, 2018 at 01:56 PM Posted March 12, 2018 at 01:56 PM And while I'm at it, here's a page of Madonna's handwritten notes that looks like a list of influences, like a moodboard. There's no date but from the sound of some of these works I'm guessing this was for her Bedtime Stories album (which I love ). And, Celine is included. I think it completely makes sense. Madonna has not always been a ground breaker like her fans tend to state. Sure she had her moments but she also followed a lot what was trendy. And despite all the mocking Céline could have got, a lot of singers has looked up to her, including Madonna as it seems. The album right after "Bedtimes Stories" was "Something to remember" which is a compilation including some new songs meant to show the soft, romantic and "kind" side of Madonna. An album full of ballads with 2 new songs produced by ...David Foster. Right when Céline was getting huge and labelled as ballad singer with songs produced among other by Foster. Indeed back in 1994, Céline had the 4th most successfull song of the year in the US with "The power of love " produced by David while Madonna released her ballad album the following year. 😊 2 Quote
Dion my heart Barbra Posted May 5, 2018 at 08:29 AM Posted May 5, 2018 at 08:29 AM The Reason The Reason was intended to be the lead single from LTAL, but was benched in favor of "Tell Him." (bad call IMO) Tell him is one of the biggest female duet era in the histori, much bigger than when you Believe outside America, it's a pit that never live in Grammy and it's not release in us only because it's not enough to scored no 1 Quote
