I also remember an e-card sent via Sony for Mariah's birthday....not sure what that was all about.As far as I remember both of the flowers and the e-card birthday things emerged from a Mariah Carey fan site years ago (basically a totally unreliable source). I respect you as a Celine fan, but woah, this is getting a little scary with your dislike (bordering on hatred) for other artists. Thank you, Tommy! Sure, as long as those "opinions" do not slander anyone or any particular group of fan, especially of other artists, I'm totally okay with it. But if you see it, it's not the case here. However, it seems that this "pointing out the flaws" are being pointed out only when it is for any artist other than Celine. If this is how it is, then great for whoever wants it like that. It just shows on what basis the comments are being made. Anyways, I'm done with this thread. Quote

Like the Whitney and Mariah duet, before that everyone put them against each other and after they did the duet everyone just left them alone. So I think it would be helpful. I don't know what kind of duet it would be as far as rhythms and beats go though. Quote

I have seen MC fans trash Celine worse than I have seen over here and it's sad. Though they are entitled to their own opinion as we are ours. I don't know Mariah but I think she is softening to me a little bit because of the situation with Nick and the twins. However I still disagree with some of things she chooses to do. -I am still waiting for another Daydream/Music Box-ish album to come out! Toni Braxton not liking her much now(I'm not going to hate), but she has said some good things about Celine before. I don't remember I just know she did so a duet could be be possible (maybe one day). Why would we say negative things about Mariah? She has certainly proven herself both vocally and artistically. She has also proven her staying power. She has successfully reinvented herself with her voice changing over the years. And she has said some lovely things about Celine in the past. While I believe everyone is entitled to their opinions, I think sometimes obsessed fans (like we all are) can be overly protective, causing unjust criticism of other artists. But why not just accept, acknowledge, and appreciate the incredible talents of multiple artists? It's so much easier than fighting against it all the time.
