Don't worry "Prima_Donna1"!!! I understand! LOL I like Chicago also!! Of course you can like someone that was "before your time" so to speak (look at how many young people love Celine these days). I just thought that, the fact that you're not crazy crazy about her was because she was before your youth. Of course, she was singing some, but most wouldn't be aware of it at such a young age. Unless, she sang a song like "Beauty and the Beast" and you could listen to it while it put you to sleep (as some have said here on the forum). LOL My oldest son likes a lot of the music from the 70's thru the early 90's like yourself. I believe he might even be your age! I think that Barbra S. is pretty fantastic, but to tell you the truth...............I haven't been as huge of a fan of hers like I am of Celine's. Nobody tops Celine for me! Although, Josh Groban comes in pretty close. There's just nobody like her that I'll spend a huge amount of money on to go all the way to Las Vegas for!!! We all can love Celine, but have different favorite songs of hers. To tell you the truth, I'm not real fond of the song, "Your My Angel" with Will I AM (did I spell his name correctly????) & Celine. It's an okay song. I don't dislike it at all, but I don't rush to listen to it when I listen to the CD that it's on. That's just my personal preference. We're all different, and variety is the spice of life (as they say).

By the way, I was just teasing you!!! I wasn't offended at all!!! LOL By the way, I like the music from the 70's thru the early 90's as well. You evidently have good taste!!! Truthfully, the fact that you like Celine speaks volumes about you!!! That right there says you know talent!!!! LOL Plus, you're here on the forum!!! Way to go!!!! Just by being a Celine fan puts you at the top of my "smart list"!!!

I stopped following Celine back in 05 but I have been on and off trying to finding stuff about her, and listening to her music. I don't know for some reason it took Whitney Houston to die for me to get back into Celine/early Mariah stuff again. I see Celine differently more than I did when I was a real hardcore fan between 97 to early 04. I now see she is a legend who is a genius of the versatile voice. She has absolutely nothing to prove and is up there with Michael, Janet, Whitney, Madonna, and Mariah.

Nothing really at all. They sound nice together. I guess that it just doesn't "grab me". Maybe I'm not listening to it at the "right time" to appreciate it like I should, 'cause truthfully there's not one song of Celine's that I would ever say that I didn't like!!!

I was just listening to that very CD, "Let's Talk About Love" yesterday and today!!!

I have also had times in the past when I didn't listen to Celine as much, and it wasn't because I wasn't crazy about her. I drove a car without a CD player in it (or the ability to listen to my Iphone) for 12 years. It did have a cassette player, but it quit working and it wasn't worth repairing. Anyway, during that time I wasn't able to listen to Celine as much as I do now. I would be at work and then running my children around to all of their activities and then preparing dinner, grading papers etc. Anyway, finally the college years are over and I was finally able to buy a new car with a CD player!!!! The car salesman asked me what I was looking for, and I told him that I wanted a car with a keyless remote and a CD player. He looked at me as tho' he was wondering which planet I had just arrived from!!!! LOL Yeah, this mother did without for a long time, 'cause we had to put our children first. I didn't get the luxury of going to Vegas to see Celine during her first Vegas run (AND), but I'm making up for it now!!! Hallelujah!!!! :clap:

I totally agree with you that Celine is at the top, and she doesn't have anything to prove!!!! She's the "full package" in my opinion. She has a huge heart, voice and talent!!! :yes:

I am sorry that you couldn't listen to Celine or any kind of music for that matter with your situation. I know how it is not to afford things. I know what you mean. It's great that you have seen Celine and can enjoy your music again. I am glad things have gotten better for you.

NO!!!!! It is like you hear 2 ladies singing. If you want Celine to go back in the charts she better have a duet with Scotty McCreery. He is even 1 year old younger than Bieber . McCreery has voice quality while Bieber don't.

Which charts? That guys is not a mainstream singer. So, it wouldn't help. I still think she should record a duet with Laura Pausini. She's really popular in Latin America, Europe, and among Latinos in the U.S. That duet would actually help both of them and they have similar styles.

Why not? I initially did not think yes to this, but he's still hot in music right now and has a top five hit with his new song and Mariah Carey did a duet with him for her Christmas song.

It's all about the right song and if it was really nice mid-tempo/R&B ish song in the vein of "I"m your Angel" I think Celine and Justin could work.

And let's face it she'd get some airplay and exposure to an audience that might not normally pay attention and even attract some new fans. A good song is a good song. I'd love to see what could happen with the right elements in place.
