I think Céline would be doing herself an injustice if she sang with him. A duet with Garou, Adele, Lionel Richie or Pink-just to name a few, would be interesting. If she wants to sing jazz, Michael Buble has a great voice. There are plenty of artists including the closet ones that admire and respect her voice.

He is a popular teen singer, and an artist in his own right. I don't dislike him at all. He seems to be a pretty clean cut young man, but I don't listen to his music. There are those "out there" who sing worse than him!

 

I truly don't believe that a duet with Celine would be work. It would just seem off-balanced and odd. So, I really hope that this would not happen.

 

Celine is a classy woman. Justin might be considered cute to the younger age group, but he's not in the same league with Celine.

 

So no, please no duet with Justin. That's my vote, for what it's worth!! LOL

Justin has a good voice. It's really his type (i think) of music that makes you think will not blend well with Celine. But both of them can sing. Perhaps a slow song will be good for the two of them. But i prefer a fast one for a duet.

 

I don't really see a good reason why you think their voices won't blend.

Even Justin had a duet with Mariah.

 

So please ratiocinate your reasons (instead of saying NEGATIVE and HARSH words) cos it's like because this singer (same goes to Rihanna) has a different music/genre/voice, you already think they won't blend well with Celine's voice.

 

The management (or the singers themselves) will definitely come up with a good song for a duet.

 

 

I agree Omnibus! They could pick "just the right song", and magic could occur! Nobody should judge until the "final product" is made. Sometimes what you think won't work, ends up being magical. I guess I just think about the age difference. I'm definitely not critical of Justin. Anybody that has staying power in the music industry has to be doing something right!!! So I say, if Celine finds a song that she wants to sing with Justin..........then go for it Celine!! After all, she has the final decision. I truly don't mind who she sings with. I generally love everything she sings. Of course, everyone has a right to their own opinions. We don't all have the same taste, but we should be more tolerant of one another and be open to new ideas. The world would be a dull place without a little variety, right?

Wow "Prima_Donna1"!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, everyone has the right to their own opinion, but to say that the duet with Barbra Streisand was one of the worst is shocking to me!! I couldn't ever imagine anyone making that comment!! Barbra is one of the best singers, and of course one of my favorites from my youth. She stayed one of my favorites until Celine came along. I know we all have differences, and you have a right to your own, but I TOTALLY believe that Celine's duet with Barbra is one of those "magical" moments in time. The two of them singing together was like perfection!!! I would love it if Celine sang a song with Barbra's hologram at her Vegas show. That would probably "seal the deal" on her Vegas show for me. Maybe it's because you didn't grow up with Barbra, and therefore didn't see her talent for what it really is. She has not been one to tour, or do many shows, due to her stage fright issues (that's according to her). So, maybe that ultimately hurt her "staying power". Most tho' would say that she is one of the greatest singers of her time. Yeah, you might say that the key word there was "her time", but it was still "her time" when Celine sang with her. She was still considered one of the top "divas". Ask David Foster, the "hit man"!!! Don't worry "Prima_Donna1"!!! I understand! LOL I like Chicago also!! Of course you can like someone that was "before your time" so to speak (look at how many young people love Celine these days). I just thought that, the fact that you're not crazy crazy about her was because she was before your youth. Of course, she was singing some, but most wouldn't be aware of it at such a young age. Unless, she sang a song like "Beauty and the Beast" and you could listen to it while it put you to sleep (as some have said here on the forum). LOL My oldest son likes a lot of the music from the 70's thru the early 90's like yourself. I believe he might even be your age! I think that Barbra S. is pretty fantastic, but to tell you the truth...............I haven't been as huge of a fan of hers like I am of Celine's. Nobody tops Celine for me! Although, Josh Groban comes in pretty close. There's just nobody like her that I'll spend a huge amount of money on to go all the way to Las Vegas for!!! We all can love Celine, but have different favorite songs of hers. To tell you the truth, I'm not real fond of the song, "Your My Angel" with Will I AM (did I spell his name correctly????) & Celine. It's an okay song. I don't dislike it at all, but I don't rush to listen to it when I listen to the CD that it's on. That's just my personal preference. We're all different, and variety is the spice of life (as they say).

 

By the way, I was just teasing you!!! I wasn't offended at all!!! LOL By the way, I like the music from the 70's thru the early 90's as well. You evidently have good taste!!!
