What if we presented an album concept to Celine?

I am so happy people are taking chances and risks because of her. I know the feeling. A month ago, I went on a singing audition, and I can promise you I would Not have done this a year ago. It's all because of her.

I think the letter is good and really true but can totally understand why you might be re-thinking it. I love your book idea, too. And the new direction you seem to have taken in the album. I agree, generas should work together, and I'm totally on board. I too am a pop and balad singer, like Celine is. She is my base inspiration, influence, motivation and idol. I have poetry, too, believe me. Most people would think I am a dork if they knew the kind of poetry I write about her.

I think we should figure out if this album is

1 one genera or many

2 a dedication album or a possible album she could sing. I think you've already decided you think you might be leaning toward a dedication album, and the song I proposed is definitely either one.

I am happy to record it and email it to someone in a wma or wav file, but I will warn you my little computer does not have the best sound quality. I'm concerned that I would never be able to record it in a professional setting unless I got in to an actual studio as I just don't have the equipment in my possession. I suppose I would be willing, if someone heard it and liked it and learned it, could play and sing it as I wrote it, to let someone else do it as long as I got credit as writer.

Sorry I ranted, but oh goodness this is so so so so so exciting. I can only say just one thing, damn I love her!!! That's never gonna change no matter what anyone says, does or thinks!!!

After reading what others have said I would like to put myself forward for singing as I can go high if needed or low just not good with middle of the road notes wise. Only problem is how?

Okay, so I've allowed myself to get distracted from some other work to concentrate on this project for a minute. Here is my first idea:)

 

Imagine that Celine has an alter ego that is torn between sharing her life with the public and keeping it private. People think they know who she is, but this alter ego is questioning whether this is true. Or it could be, from a fans perspective, a questioning of whether Celine wants to be as public as she is.

 

The song is titled "Inner Secrets" and is a work in progress. I love hearing Celine with an acoustic background. This song is soft. I hear it with an acoustic guitar, light drums, and a bass. As far as background vocals, maybe some "ooos" and "ahhs". What do you think? Again, a rough draft, work in progress

Sure, and thanks for the compliment (I know my vocals arent great ). It's just a sample but I'm glad you like it.

 

I guess I will have to start as "Project Manager" for the time being. Everyone who is interested in being involved in the first project PM me the following information so I can create a information sheet:

 

1. Your "real name" and forum name

2. Your current location (City, State, Country)

 

3. email address (I'm not going to ask for phone numbers right now because I know it can be costly to talk long distance. The closer we get to a finished product, I will get phone numbers)

 

4. Identify your talent/gift/how you would like to contribute and your experience with the talent/gift. (Are you: an amateur/novice, some performance experience, professional, etc) (Provide samples of your work, if possible)

 

5. State whether you have music production equipment (and what kind)

 

 

 

I can't think of other things we need to know right now. If there is something we should add, please PM me. Try to get it to me by October 7th. Once I have the information, I will put it all together and share it only with "established" participants. WE can wait on the samples but I do believe that all contributors should have an opportunity to know each other's work.

Just an idea, instead of asking for phone numbers and making your bill go up the roof, could you use something like skype? Going from one skype user to another skype user won't cost a thing and I think you can do group calls on that as well.

what gets me is that sony never listen to us as fans as to what we want and celine is constantly mocked by so called critics

 

for instance one heart & taking chances are amazing albums where she sings bout domestic abuse as well as emotional and neither were massive hits like the way lets talk about love or falling into you were

 

personally id love to see a dance album from celine her remixes are amzing most of the time like i drove all night mixes so something dance/club like would be amazing her voice would so suit it working with big names in the club scene like david guetta for instance also working with more r&b artists like akon for instance

look what he did for michael jackson ( rip ) on his ( michael ) album the song hold my hand amazing

 

if only celines team and sony would listen to the fans and get celine back in mainstream charts

 

while celine doesnt care much for chart positions it allows people world over to know she is still here and a major force to be reconed with

 

shes the queen of love and in my eyes music for a reason
