Sadly in Germany it still isn't. One day I'd really like to know what's the problem. Same with certain music videos like ANDHC, GTSW, Incredible, Alone live in Boston, IDAN, IYAMT...

I mean the songs are all released on albums here, I simply don't get it. An immense step forward was unblock the TC album on spotify but there's still so much to do by sony or by someone else. Guessing her number of views and listens would be much higher if every single song/video was available in every single country, no matter if the songs are in english or in french.

And I wonder if Celine's team look at the numbers while considering songs for the setlists. As it is right know, it doesn't really reflect all international fans because not everyone can watch/listen to every song/video. :innocent:

the second picture always looked extremely fake to me. It looks like they photoshopped her hair onto the picture. It also looks like the whole background was completely added into it.

In fact, it could also be her face from the photoshoot in the garden (TTWII single cover) that was added here.

I have to agree. I've probably spent hours staring at that picture trying to figure out what looked so off about it (besides the hair), but never have noticed the face might have been cut and paste!! How strange!

I don't really like the intense photoshopping they do for her album covers.. like LTAL, ATW and TC stand out as the worst. I love the ATW photo, but they've done so much work to it, that it's really not her face anymore. More like a cartoon.

But what is off about it? Wouldn't she have just sat and made that same pose and then all they changed is the hair?

TC I know some people didn't like the colouring on it. I thought she looked amazing, probably my favorite album cover...next to Courage and FIY.

The photoshoot was at her old house in FL. I bet this was was taken outside during sunset or dusk, maybe on their dock?

In that promo video we can see her with the dress she uses in the back cover, and where she took the picture... well, the hair is just like the picture...

The clip they posted on IG yesterday already has almost 1.5 million views. This is her most clicked/viewed video post to date. And in such a short span.

Either people really love this song or they thought it was a new video after the health & show cancelation announcement. Maybe both?

Also, Ariana Grande left a comment.

I think people really love the song, and those lyrics are very fitting for the hideous world we live in

Did you notice that TC replied to that comment re. Xavier Dolan- that’s Adele’s dude, isn’t it? Oh and Ariana’s comment…I guess they’ve actually hired people to interact / respond.

LOL calling Xavier Dolan "Adele's dude" is like calling Paul McCartney "the dude from Wings" :giggle:

But yeah, I suspect the traffic on that post is due to Ariana's comment, seeing as the post itself was just same old from TC. Good to see them interacting though I hope they bring in someone who actually knows what they're doing. The response to the Adele/ gum story was just next level cringe.

As for the crazy amount of views --- 1) Her music and voice will drive a ton of views, moreso than anything else 2) HD or HQ will gets tons more clicks 3) She looks young and very, very good in that video 4) Nostalgia and 90s throwback 5) the video itself is great and memorable 6) She hasn't been heard from in a while, and people love to connect with her. 7) Forward facing shots of someone's face, even if partial, attract the most likes. 8) the link to a very popular youtube video

Quite out of surprise.

I want Celine to work with Xavier. In fact, I want her to do an open call for creative minds. She could have 500 creative minds send her their projects/ideas for collaboration---not necessarily just songwriters--and see what comes up.

I’m genuinely surprised she still hasn’t. He’s such a fan! Has seen her shows several times, used her music in his films, even wrote her a song for EUS.

Which is how Adele reportedly found out about him, after watching Mommy. That's certainly his most successful and critically-acclaimed film. And that ONCP scene is now pretty much a cult classic and a major contributor to early Celinaissance.

But he also used PQTME in Laurence Anyways a couple years prior.

When would you classify the dates of the earlier Celinaissance? Is there are interview of Adele mentioning this film and watching it?

Which song did he write for EUS? Do they have photos together? Sorry for the barrage of questions!

I loved that film “Mommy” and one of my favorite part is the one when they played “On Ne Change Pas”. One of their happy moments from the film and I like how they danced with this song. This is everyone’s favorite scene.

For others who haven’t watched the film. Watch it now :)

Here’s a clip of that ONCP

I'd say it started percolating with the release of the Carl Wilson book. That's when many who previously dismissed her started taking her seriously. And then it was revived with the 2nd edition, circa 2014, which came with all those essays (by the likes of Ann Powers, Krist Novoselic, James Franco, etc,), which spawned articles like this: https://slate.com/cu...gaitskill.html. And then slowly, more articles like it started to appear in critical and later pop press. Obviously the fashionista turn took it to another level, but for me, it all started with Carl's book.

I don't believe there was an interview with Adele to that effect (though perhaps); just remember that being written in some article(s) at the time of Hello coverage. You can probably find if you Google hard enough.

And as for the song Xavier wrote for Celine, I guess we'll never know, since it didn't make the album. (Sources here: https://www.vanityfa...ier-dolan/32528 or https://www.journald...our-celine-dion)

And yes, they've met a couple times. When he was filming his John Donovan movie in Montreal in 2016, he took the cast to Celine's show (Jessica Chastain posted about it, Kit Harrington's pic with Celine made the rounds on the 'net, etc)
