Celine: 3 Boys and a New Show

Did you notice the great instrumental Celine background music throughout the TV-special? Which songs were included, I didn't catch them all?

 

I wouldn't mind having a CD of that - recorded by Celine's own team of musicians

It was interesting to see RC was part of the James Bond part of show! Never knew that until i watched the documentary.

Ugh, come on! You've never complained about your job? Well, I don't think so. So does she. Singing is her job, going to the Oscars is her job, so she complains about it because it's part of her life. What do you want her to complain about? Drought in Africa, poor people in India? I don't see how she could come out of her "bubble" since it's her life, you don't get out of your life. And maybe going to the Oscars seems awesome to you, but it doesn't to her. The same way you complain about going to the supermarket, and that would seem awesome to her.

 

Well, let's talk about Angelina -- there is a new topic about their friendship -- Let's get that into this here. They both have lots of kids now, ok. Stressfull life?

 

Angelina is part of organizations that take care of kids in africa, she is aware of what is going on in the world. I am sure she knows a little bit about poverty and I am sure she complains less than Celine (Oh, my God, Brad, we have to take a flight in this awesome 400 seat jet, this is horrible for us??!?!?!) I am probably never gonna see that happening. This kind of unaware complaining from Angelina that Celine does in her bubbly state... We all know Rene protects her too much, and that's how that happens. She lots her touch, her grounds on what it is to be poor or what it really is a problem.

 

 

But think about it, when you're USED to that kind of lifestyle, it DOES become boring. It's like she said in an interview from the 90s, "when you're never home, it's where you want to be, and when you're home all the time, traveling is what you want to do." Makes perfect sense. Personally, I feel as though she "complained" because she doesn't like looking like a model (with pounds of makeup) 24/7. I wouldn't either... We know she loves to sing, and that will never change, but do you blame her for wanting a month off after 5 non-stop weeks of shows? No.

No I am not kidding you. If you compare René in all of the last videos and this last one, he is stressed and he can't barely do his work. I used to criticize René for a bunch of stuff -- but now I see that he is the driving force of her career, but... from The A new day... she is being more and more hard to deal with and this is being hard on him. 5 minutes to say all of her chords? Seriously? This is mean, and no wonder we don't have cds and a better track list for the show, or even a show NAME.

 

I criticize Celine all the time but you are quite frankly full of s*** Half of your accusations are BS to begin with. When did she really complain about the jet or appearing on Oprah. Where did she "mistreat" Rene? You making him out to be a victim is f****ing hilarious when it's obvious he controls every aspect of her life and signs her off to 5 year contracts when they already have all the money in the world and it's obvious she just wants to stay home with her kids.

 

You as a fan only see the glamorous aspect of her world tours, performances at galas and awards shows, you don't have to actually experience the stress and work that she puts into it. That Oscars comment you're referencing is particularly hilarious when it was perfectly warranted for her to have that reaction. She had just wrapped up a ridiculous 5 years in Vegas that she didn't want to do from the start, and Rene tells her about the short vacation they're about to have when in fact that vacation includes recording a new album, the Oscars and other appearances - all of which she obviously didn't want to do.

 

Lots of fans including myself may be disappointed with certain career choices her team has made, but the truth is she's probably one of the hardest working women in show business. Of course she has a dream life, but she's also working way harder than she needs to and is obviously NOT enjoying it. From her debut until 1999 she was releasing a french or English album practically every single year, consecutively, and that coincided with promotion blitzes and world tours. Even in the 2000's when her album releases slowed down her initial Vegas contract was mind boggling considering the slanted stage, the sheer spectacle which required her to strain her voice night after night and dance a bit...It's no wonder she'd be somewhat disillusioned with her career.

 

For me, it's actually nice to see rare glimpses of the "demanding" or "diva" side of Celine, since 99 percent of the time she's very accommodating and nice, whether it's with her family or signing autographs for over an hour for fans. Everyone has a limit! She can't be an angel 24/7.

 

I am sorry, didn't you hear she saying that it was STRESSFUL going to Oprah?

And all that she said about having to take the kids, and the plane, taking the plane

to Chicago? She said even more stuff but I can't recall now.

This video was, at the same time, fun and revealing for me, in a good

and bad way. I liked it cause it gave a glimpse into Celine which I have been

talking with my friends for a long time, and they do agree with me on that, too.

and so on. Add lots are not complaining and are very much satisfied with anything that Celine and her team put on a box and send for stores to sell. Well, each with their choices...

 

I see, tho, a shift after this video. A calm way went down the forum -- because we missed NEW things from her and we like to consume things from her, even if it's a documentary. BUT, soon as it fades, we gonna start thinking about what first drawn us to Celine. The music. And I am sad to say many will be disappointed with the future releases; related to their amount, quality or time frames.

 

AS I said in my last posts, it's about time that we get to terms with the new Celine

and we should prepare to celebrate and cherish her 30 year old career.

I love how she complains about getting a 50 million dollar jet and also complains about going to Oprah.

How she mistreats René Angelil and how he seems sad and stressed and almost can't do his work as manager.

 

Her life is a dream, so beautiful, was awesome to see it, but it strikes me how she can find ways to complain a lot sometimes about such trivial, and sometimes, awesome things she has to do.

 

It brings me back memories of her complaining about going to the oscars on the a new day dvd...

What kind of person complains about going to the oscars? Once of a lifetime event that most people will never attend to...

 

Dont get me wrong I loved to see Celine's life, but she sure should get out of her bubble a bit...

Ummm.....Angelina also does not work in show business as often or to the capacity that Celine does. Celine goes on for years at a time working...Angelina doesn't do blitzes where she has more than 1 movie coming out at a time. You are making Rene out to be the victim...do you think maybe he's stressed and a little slower at his job because he's about 70 years old...where most people at this age are already retired?? Celine has a right to be stressed about doing things or to not have a want to do things...but she knows she has to and does them anyway. BECAUSE IT'S PART OF HER JOB. You also have to factor in her lack of sleep since she has the twins, and RC being 10 years old making sure he gets off to school every day. You have a lot to say about a lot of stuff you don't really know about. All of a sudden, you see a side of Celine that's similar to that of an average working person and you peg her as this tyrannical b*tch. Maybe you should not only turn up your own volume but also open your eyes and realize that Celine is not a super hero. She is a working mother with stress just like everyone else.

I'm really getting so sick of this complaining. She has a human being moment and all of a sudden you don't like her any more? she's all of a sudden not the brilliant star you thought she was? Don't like her true colors? She does so much more for us than most people I know would care to do. The end of most peoples' committment to their fans ends a lot sooner than hers did. She keeps going and going where most people don't bother or care too go for us. How many people can we name that love us and are willing to go to the lengths they do for us? Could you do what she's doing?

We all do it. I love whatever side of her comes out, and I'm really sad that people who call themselves fans are so quick to pounce when I, for one, know that there's no way in a million years I could do what she does. And I'm smart enough to not even try. But if people think they can handle her life without complaining, let's see them try. She did choose this, and for the most part she does it with more of a smile than I think I could. And for that, I love her! Sorry some people don't know what it feels like to be supportive of someone who has given so much!

No, she's a gifted woman like anybody else that knows how to get from point A to point B and whose not afraid to bring out her claws to acheive any of her goals. Any successful person in life needs a strong attitude like this. You think she got up there only with her voice, a smile and by saying "please" to everyone? Hell no!

And you clearly haven't been around a newly mother weeks after given birth by c-section. Trust me, its not pretty, you better listen or sh*ts gonna go down. Celine bairly showed that side of her in the documentary.... So don't be that harsh

you're right, I do just want to talk about how amazing things are. Yes, there a few things I might have preferred more than others, but I'm proud of my angle as one of her fans. I try to contribute to this place being one that we can all have opinions, and, btw, I did read, and want to acknowledge, that you said some nice things about her as well. I'm sorry for my adding to your feeling that yo can't talk openly here. The internet, like countries, has no borders and thus is a free zone. I', sorry if I got a little riled up. But yes, I am someone who likes to talk about the amazing things, and, when something isn't necessarily as amazing as it could be, I'm someone who can put a positive slant, i.e., that was a different performance vocally. I know good and well she is human and not perfect, I can admit she has off days and interesting notes, we all do.

celine_026, I have a humble advice for you if I may, try not looking at things only at its surface, don't judge a book by its cover. Celine said it's stressful to fly with her infants and so on, how "un-grounded" is that? All of my friends who have infants say that whenever they need to fly, even when they are flying on business class and going on for a vacation, instead of going to work like Celine.

 

Rene seems to be particularly stressed in this documentary, and you concluded that it's all because Celine is being harder and harder to live with. Have you considered that Rene is older in this documentary than the previous ones? Rene is a father with young three kids (not counting the grown-up ones)? Vegas economy has been pretty bad, and ppl are having more expectation on this show, especially since AND did extremely well?

 

Even if you don't like it, "Celine" is the show's name! They chose this as the show's title for a reason, it's not because they are being wishy washy, and can't come up with a good one, so they simply throw out, "yeah, let's use her first name."

 

One thing that I agree with you, is that I also hate to see fans who see Celine as the Goddess, and everything she does is perfect. I think it is difinitely fine to criticize, but please with a solid base, think with "multi-dimension".

 

And I also want to make clear a point, I reply NOT because your comments have any base or were good, it's because I find them totally the opposite. Otherwsie, I wouldn't have replied, or I would simply have a short reply like "well said."
