zuv Posted October 3, 2011 at 03:34 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 03:34 PM I would love as well, but she already mentioned in one Rachael Ray that she wouldn't let it become a series. I think she was saying she would not do that again continously for a reality show, she didnt say she did not want to make a series with the 110 hrs already taped. which could be a good idea, unless the rest of the material is boring. Celinenvegas Posted October 3, 2011 at 03:35 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 03:35 PM It was a good show but it seemed to go by so fast, I thought there would be more detail about the making of the show. I sure hope they release a DVD with lots more footage. Quote ~J O E Y~

celineaddictedpt Posted October 3, 2011 at 04:22 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 04:22 PM Hi everyone, What a beautiful documentary. Apart from all the things they share with us fans, what gets to me is the beautiful sensibility of the Julie Snyder's team. They have such a respect for Celine and for her work and that shows in everything they do. They do know how to touch our hearts and how to take advantage of the love Celine puts in everything she does. The moments she shares with René, RC and the Twins are so wonderful captured that they don't need to speak to show how much love there is. Sometimes less is more and in this case i totally agree. No much words, just touch, laugh, eye contact...purity! I'm absolutly in love with this documentary. Much more in love with Celine and her family and much more respectful of Julie Snyder and her incredible team. Just curiosity: did anyone noticed when Celine stars to cry when reharsing Lullaby, there's someone blond in the back that seems to be hiding from the camera? This person seems to be Julie Quote www.fotolog.net/celineaddicted5

celine-rc Posted October 3, 2011 at 06:28 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 06:28 PM (edited) I agree. When he said that, I was like, you shouldn't talk to your father like that but I guess that it's the age. I didn't find it brat-ish but more, rude. You guys should go and retweet this: Maybe a 3hr version commercial free DVD included in Celine's next English album Deluxe Edition?!? @snyderjulie @laportestephane Merci They really said tht??? That would be amazing! Julie could start a bit when Star Ac starts but Stéphane, I don't think so... Star Ac doesn't finish until April... Anyway. Thanks for the news!!! This person seems to be Julie It's probably Julie, she was at the rehersals because René has called her the night before to say that they were cancelling everything but she made them sort of try it for like half an hour to see how it goes. So, all this to say that it is probably Julie. Quote http://images.lpcdn.ca/435x290/201103/17/305341.jpg Merci Céline pour ces deux soirées inoubliables que j'ai passées à tes côtés. I don't know if the kid has turned out mouthy with his parents, but I could see a "serious" Céline when she was telling him not to have his homework in Chicago, only in Vegas, and RC was answering her back and she had to say "because I'm your mom and I say so" Quote "Hush, now... Timster Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:03 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:03 PM I didn't like when RC says " i am the actor you are the manager" sounded a little brat-ish...I don't know if it was brat-ish, maybe he was just making a joke/being cheeky. Kids that age often do. From everything else we've seen of him he seems very mature for his age, and is a credit to Celine & Rene. He's grown up so much from the shy, long-haired child we saw in TTEOTW. I don't know if the kid has turned out mouthy with his parents, but I could see a "serious" Céline when she was telling him not to have his homework in Chicago, only in Vegas, and RC was answering her back and she had to say "because I'm your mom and I say so" As for the homework thing, there is nothing wrong with RC questioning Celine. The kid is obviously very conscientiousness towards his studies, he obviously found it odd that his mum was stopping him from doing his work... Quote
westwing Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:04 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:04 PM Listen to Celine when she's rehearsing "Open arms" (which I LOVED by the way) - hasn't she in certain places started using a soft vibrato which resembles the singing technique of Barry Gibb and Aaron Neville? Listen to these and compare för yourselves: Celine http://youtu.be/daRzuLZ5hF0 A Neville Barry Gibb http://youtu.be/7sHC13b6Frg Oh, and of course I want a DVD-release of all the material they edited out Quote

Javito Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:36 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:36 PM Though she still sings great, I think her voice has lowered a lot since 2006. He makes some notes lower than what they were before. Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
sfbaysinger Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:36 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:36 PM I have a different take on RC's statement. I thought I heard him say, you're the manager, I'm just the actor. as if he's submitting to his dad. And the homework thing, I think Celine found it amazing that he's that dedicated to his studies that she has to force him, almost, to have a day off. i think he got that hard work ethic from her. He makes some notes lower than what they were before. Her voice may sound more mature, but her range hasn't really changed since the 90s. Some may argue she can hit higher notes better now (The big F5 in RDMH for example). Quote
Javito Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:51 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 07:51 PM Her voice may sound more mature, but her range hasn't really changed since the 90s. Some may argue she can hit higher notes better now (The big F5 in RDMH for example). Yes it feels she can reach higher notes now, but at the same time they sound "different", not the clean, crystal clear sharp notes she used to do in the french concerts of the 90's. Now they sound "tiring" many times. The voice is there no doubt, but it sounds different. It's confusing, even contradictory I would say I attribute that to the cents of times she has sung certain songs, she's tired of them and the passion can't be there performing TPOL or MHWGO when she has been singing those songs thousands of times since a decade. But when she performs new songs, sometimes the "old voice" comes back and gives a sensational performance Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
artistman2007 Posted October 3, 2011 at 08:06 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 08:06 PM I agree when she sings new songs you feel like she's the 1993 Celine like when I first heard miracle I thought she recorded it at the colourful of my love album period Quote
sfbaysinger Posted October 3, 2011 at 08:40 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 08:40 PM Sorry, I don't agree. If anything I think she has gotten better and can do more now than she could now. I knew it would not take long until we had this discussion. I don't get how people can say the old voice sometimes comes back when...in my opinion it never left. I think she just keeps better with age and time, but I do of course, know there are other opinions and I want to say mine without poo pooing anyone else's. Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! Javito Posted October 3, 2011 at 08:48 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 08:48 PM (edited) Sorry, I don't agree. If anything I think she has gotten better and can do more now than she could now. I think she just keeps better with age and time, but I do of course, know there are other opinions and I want to say mine without poo pooing anyone else's. But the voice matures, and changes with age, that's a normal evolution!. For everybody. It's natural. It's normal that she hasn't the exact same voice she had in 1995, because she's 15 years older. Besides, she doesn't train her voice like she used to do before 2003, and that is noticeable. Of couse she's got such a high level of professionalism between 1981 and 2002 that allows her to have enough knowledge of her voice not to be training it everyday, but the vocal exercises she used to do in the 90's almost daily are not present with that frequence anymore, and that counts too. Is that good or bad? It's OK, she's a busy mother of 3 now and she can't pay the same attention to her instrument than how she did before. Also, it's cool you think her voice has gotten better with time, but it can't be said that it's better than the voice she had in the Olympia concert in 1994, because it's evident it's not the same clear voice . But she has kept it in a great shape during all theses years, despite the mistreat given in Vegas during 2003-2007. Thank God that won't happen again this time, because she has less shows and she can rest her voice more. Edited October 3, 2011 at 08:55 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Del Posted October 3, 2011 at 08:51 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 08:51 PM What?! Did they show anything different? Seems like there were less commercials in the program and 6 minutes before the show was to end... it ended abruptly with "am i ready to be pregnant and perform in vegas, you'll have to wait and see." Based on the youtube version we have, all we missed was the end credits when they were in the car. Quote Instagram: @delphis78

Thomas Posted October 3, 2011 at 09:04 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 09:04 PM Celine said in the 2005 biography: "Maybe I don't sing as technically good today, but I surely sing...much better" and I agree. Because even though her voice did change over the years, she still finds ways to achieve amazing things from it. Things that even young singers these day's can't do. I love that she is honest enough to acknowledge the change in her voice as well, not all the big divas out there would do that. Quote
Javito Posted October 3, 2011 at 09:14 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 09:14 PM (edited) ^ Agree Thomas, one of those examples being the Special Simplement Marnay, where she proved she could do whatever she wanted with her voice, any kind of embellishment with her vocal chords even in a style she never touched But this always reminds me its sad that, if her voice indeed has changed a bit, we have not heard many of her own songs live from her yet That's what annoys me so much of all the Vegas setlist. If only she ever did a "Fans special concert" performing ONLY songs from her albums that she has never performed before... just for ONCE I wonder if that's really much to ask? Just one time each of those songs, like the rare performances of Did You Give Enough Love or Live (For the one I love)? Edited October 3, 2011 at 09:16 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
sfbaysinger Posted October 3, 2011 at 09:27 PM Posted October 3, 2011 at 09:27 PM Thanks for sharing that, Thomas. I don't have that book, couldn't read it if I did. I always think her performances are wonderful, sometimes maybe they're a bit different than we are used to, but her heart is often in it, imo. I do love that she admits that. And, above all else, I'm just thankful every day that she is still singing when she so does not have to be.I too would so love to hear rare songs we've never heard live before. That would be amazing!! Quote L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
