Celine on Oprah 2011

Hey everyone,

My friend left this morning and I felt sooooooooo behind when i got back here, felt like I'd missed a lifetime of her and all of you who love her...since the show will be on here for me in about an hour, us Pacific timers always get things last LOL, I'm going to see it then come back here and find those 7 parts someone sent about 6 pages back. If someone can PM me with those links to that, it would be a lot easier but if not that's okay...

Had a difficult time downloading the mp3 with SendSpace but it finally worked...I stink at computers but being here has made me have to get better at them and at typing...LOL

Loved the song, she is so so so so amazing, I have no complaints just recommendations I wanted something about babies since i know that's the theme, still slow and loving/maternal but with some more power/passion/fire to her vocals, in case no one here has ever noticed LOL, Celine can reeeeeeeeeally belt out/hold some notes and that's what I am missing but could care a less it's just soooooooo good to hear her live again she's going to be soooooo amazing in Vegas you all going arre sooooo lucky and I am happy for you all!

My friend from out of town loves Touched by an Angel and there was an all day marathon Saturday and we just caught the end of the hundredth episode Celine was in, Lauren likes her but not at all like me and not being able to hear her all weekend was...well I don't want to sound ridiculous/pathetic but those of you die-hards like me get it!

People are home now so when the show airs I can't get as outwardly excited as I wanted, but oh well, will post here to fill all in on my thoughts/opinions if anyone cares!

After watching this it makes you want twins!!! They are soo damn cute!!!

I totally understand if she decide to retire with this kids and amazing house!!

She sounded wonderful can't wait to hear with full orchestra!!

Anyone noticed they showed rehearsals for the new show?? I'm thinking we get another big documentary coming up!? They also filmed her big welcome in Vegas!! The same guys who did AND and TTEOTW!!

Perhaps we will get a behind the scenes documentary on her next DVD, maybe called 'Celine's return to Vegas!'. Would love to see it come true

Sorry, been so behind lately with the forum! Just watched that interview it was so beautiful, but i did exspect more interview with Celine :-D

Mmm favorite memories

- waiting in the holding area with forum members as Celine songs played on the sound system

- walking into the studio as MHWGO played and freakinggg out

- singing and dancing with all of my new forum friends across the studio in our various seats as we wait for the show to start

- "RENE ANGELIL IS RIGHT BEHIND YOU!"

-"I'm going to need that entire box of tissue."

- getting smacked in the face with showgirl butt feathers

-pondering throwing a handful of confetti on Oprah...wishing I had done it anyway!

-watching a friend's dream come true as Oprah sits next to her for the entire Celine song Pricelesssss

Just finished watching here on the west coast.. Celine was fabulous! :clap:

Her Lullaby made me cry. I just wish she would have had the whole hour, and we could have seen more of her house, and the parts of the Oprah show that were cut out. Thanks to all the Forum members who were there and filled in the parts that were cut. I loved the part where Celine says, "we are going to take a coffee"

Watching here in SF, California where it comes on at 4 PM. It's in the middle with the sex-tuplets now so I can be here.

OMG she is soooooooooo funny, I loved when she sang to the babies, i love her baby-talk. Now I understand the "it's almost tomorrow" or something like that, I get where people are coming from now.

Most of all, again sounding lame and ridiculous, the one thing I think I love the most...I love how people love her. Those of you in the audience, it was like I could hear you specifically even though I don't know any of you and couldn't have picked out anyone even if I did. All the people there may have liked her, but you guys were the real die-hards and I could feel you all sending your love swirling all around her, the exchange of energy from fan to singer. And I just love the way people love her, it's like they want to show her and have her somehow know how amazing we think she is. I know she does know, but it's like we want her to really get it. She is so amazing.

I didn't allow myself to scream out loud when oprah called her out. And BTW, I love the way she says it. So many talk-show hosts are good but there's that little accent thing they miss, Oprah has that. And she is so regal, graceful and elloquent about it when she calls Celine out. I wanted to scream and shout and clap, like i were there but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because it would look and sound silly even though no one else is here, (roommie is in the shower so I wouldn't have been heard). I just love her and somehow want to be a part of this. She does not know of my existance and more than likely never will, but I am more than okay to simply be a fan from a distance, ever there but never detected, invisible, supporting her any way I can.

You are so amazing, Celine!!!

I thought there would have been more with Celine too! I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a lot more with her! I love what they did with the family, I still wish there had been more Celine. The twins are beyond adorable!

During the show, Celine answered a question that I always had whenever she does interviews in English. She was talking about when she lost the third baby and she was saying something about the fact that even though the baby no longer existed, there is the "recognition" of its presence or feeling its loss (this was right before she started tearing up. They didn't show it on Oprah today). She was having trouble translating what she wanted to say and then she "apologized" saying that sometimes her "French brain" doesn't .......

I'd always wondered if sometimes the things Celine said were lost in translation or if she had trouble expressing her self completely in English because of the language "barrier". She confirmed my suspicion and now I know not to give one of these expressions :blink: when she says something that doesn't quite make since to me. Anybody else remember this moment?

Another special moment for me occurred after the show when I met a woman named Cecile at the airport. She was the woman who spoke to Celine in French from the audience. She told me she said congratulations to her. Anyway, my husband and I are about to go through the IVF process. I was feeling a little down because so many things have been coming up to kind of hinder the process and I was worried that maybe being a mother was not in the "cards" for me. But, out of the blue, Cecile (who is French) recognized me from being in the line at the show and she began talking to me about how much she appreciated Celine's story and experience with IVF. She went through the same thing and ended up giving birth to twins. Though it is challenging, the reward is the most wonderful thing. She really lifted my spirits. So Cecile, if you're out there... HELLO.. and THANKS for the PEP talk:)

I totally get you about Celine's french brain. Being there, I thought it was hard to discern sometimes what would make it onto the show and what wouldn't, though that I wish they would have aired her speaking about that so it would encourage people who make fun of Celine's quirky English-word choices and phrases sometimes to stop. One thing that I do say about her a lot lately is how settled she's been in the English language for some time now that I think we are closer than ever now to her real personality, and she's less trying to cultivate an image of being the sweet and dignified character she is but free to goof around and be as comedic as she is... I mean the way she ran around the studio sending fertility vibes to the women like she was throwing chinese stars out of her fiji bottle and uterus was classic!!!!!!!!!!!

But I still think when I watch her express herself in French she seems a lot more sure of herself... and I often don't even have to understand what she's saying to "get that."

I wish now with Oprah's Network they would actually air a lot of what was edited out, or post some of it to the website.

Overall, I watched today trying to imagine what it would be like for me if I hadn't gone, and I think I would've been so elated.

I am kicking myself for not talking to Rene. It would have been so easy, but I was just trying to respect his experience and not say something stupid.

Oh well. One of the best days ever... never to be forgotten!!!!

And for anyone who doubts Oprah's sincerity as a human being I think it was clear to us she is a very nice person. :-)

Thanks NMJ I think it was, for your answer to my question, what is it about her that makes me cry and you said "everything." I laughed, that's so so so so true and I looooovvvvvvvvvvvve her!!!

I only cried at the end, laughed/smiled through the whole rest of it, no, the person who asked that question is not the only one.

I wish the very best to the person going through IVF. Take the fertility vibes she was running around sending, even if you weren't there.

Thanks to the person who talked about celine's English. I've always loved it, it's part of her and I love her quirkiness. I never saw it as awkwardd, I usually know what she's saying but just know that however she may have said it might not have been the gramatically correct way to say it. But I can suppose that with truly emotional things, her French returns in full force.

I also wanted to comment on that last and final breath she took at the very end of that song. That melted me like ice on a sunny summer day...oh, Celine!!! It reminds me of the breath she took at the end of My Love when she did it live. It's kinda like a relief, I did it breath but also a thank-you I love you breath, too. It's going to sound really lame, that will be my third time today, record for me are you guys getting used to this/me yet, but I just love hearing and catching those breaths. Hearing her breathe in and out, what a treat, it's like we're catching something we shouldn't/not supposed to be hearing, breath is part of all of us and especially her as a singer. it's like hearing in to her soul...I know, lame-o!!!!

I liked a previous comment about hyper Celine being back. I can't say she ever left us and am also not sure it's the coffee that makes her that way, she just, I think, can't wait to do this for us...again!!

OMG yes! I was watching with my roomates and I felt retarded, I was smiling and laughing to every sentences Celine said! She's so funny when she's tired, and I think she was

Is it just me or there's a sign to see in the fact they played Elvis Presley's Viva Las Vegas 3 times ? I would like Celine to sing a Elvis song, without a dumb inpersonation! And maybe other than Can't Help Falling In Love (even if I looooove this song, especially the 2007 version!)

Oh my god. I watched Oprah today and my GOD, she performed Lullabye soooo beautifully. I studied that song a great deal when we were rehearsing to perform it in my choral group and she nailed it and it made me want to cry. :heart:
