Confirmed - "Hollywood theme" Canceled

I actually hesitated including I'm Alive. But overall, I'd like for it to be gone too. Enough of these karaokeish songs she is doing where she spends more time talking nonsense than actually singing the words.

I am very happy with the fact that the Hollywood-theme got cancelled. From the first moment I heard about I didn't like it. Celine has enough good songs of her own that can be very well performed with an orchestra. My opinion is that teh Hollywood-theme would result in an oldfashioned and less interesting show.

Celine could have been given a hint about the new Vegas show in the exclusive Italian interview on "Chi" magazine.

She's on the cover of this week's issue. She has a 9-page article.

Hopefully the music is the only thing playing......as in NO playbacks playing lol (though it's inevitable).

No weird props, new man in all white, no sweaty dancers. Just la belle Céline.

Well this doesn't make sense. the woman needs sleep before her next interview. Or has it changed again?! I was under the impression that there would be holograms, impressive visuals, all kinds of fun surprises....

Now I personally don't care so much about visuals, I just don't understand the back and forth and uncertainty/mystery.

haha - I find it ironic that the title of the album this song is on is "the Best is Yet to Come"....

I really don't care about the visuals. As my dad says, he is going to hear her sing, if he wanted to see dancers and other visuals he would have bought tickets for other shows in Vegas (and I'm sure there are plenty).

I don't mind ''I'm Alive'', it is one of my favourite Celine songs. But they will have to change it again because I'm not sure the arrangement they used for the tour will work for this show. :shrug:

And I'm still saying that they are going for something like Andre Rieu's shows. That guy is huge at the moment.

i think that is a mis-print and means with lots of instead, it only makes sense. no way they would use that huge screen with nothing and let it go to waste.

Well, the official site still claims that it's going to be a "stunning visual presentation". I know that all that matters is Céline, but I definitely wouldn't mind some elaborated work on the visual department.

Let's face it, even if they used generic graphics on the big screen it would still be stunning as that screen is an attraction in itself.

I'm all for a "Celine Dion Concert" as opposed to the hype that surrounded "The A New Day...Show" to be honest.

One thing is sure: the Vegas banner has dissapeared from celinedion.com about one week ago (Don't know if anyone noticed it or if's been discussed before), which could mean three different things at the moment:

1. They're in the process of changing the logo. (The D'elles pic and that font were clearly an attempt of recreating the classical Hollywood vibe)

2. They're still deciding the new show's name and haven't gone for one yet.

3. Both of the above.

I think it's the third option. And obviously they just got the show's name, so that's why Céline said that. It makes perfect sense. (No, the dates-have-been-changed option isn't included :xmas_laugh: )

Yes, "Please don't translate this expression in Italian"... that sentence speaks for itself. So "Let the Music Play". Interesting, but tbh, I would've expected something more... creative. It still tops the originality of the first Vegas' run name, based on an album's name; that was a total lack of creativity as much as I and many more loved the ANDHC album, and looking from an objective point of view and not from a fan's point of view. And the name "Celine"... don't even get me started on that... :xmas_ph34r:

Just as we say in Spanish, nobody gets embittered by having a cake; if it's good, it's good. I actually would like to see some innovative effects on the show.

There was a rumor on facebook saying that "she'll have the larger 3D screen on North America" (and much more things), it was a boy who claimed to have talked to a friend who was working on Caesar's and who had told him so; but I think these kind of stories have almost zero credibility. (A friend told me-type-of-stories, and so on) And I actually believed it when I read the rumor; but I'd rather stop believing these things now than getting a letdown when the show has started, because I actually think Céline herself wouldn't come to that point of contradiction, as she wouldn't like to lie and then apologize to the media afterwards. It's logical.

I'm thinking however, that... she may be meaning by these contradictions: "there will be some really great effects for SOME songs. But for the rest, it will be just me and my voice". Maybe?

It's true tho the celineinvegas official page for the show still shows the motionless logo, and I had not thought of this one. I went straight to the theory of them being in the process of changing the logo and title, and it would make even more sense if they were changing the start date now, which would be false. So sorry, it's my bad...

Unless the official Céline's team is changing their plans but still hasn't finished the new logo and they want to be the firsts to show it? :xmas_smile: Could that be? I know it's pure speculation.

JCT is a very original song, it causes me goosebumps. It could have influenced on this the amazing way they edited the ACDS footage for the DVD.
