Javito Posted September 28, 2010 at 01:36 PM Author Posted September 28, 2010 at 01:36 PM So it will be on the Celine Show next year?can't wait to watch and hear... We don't know about that yet (is Nature Boy a movie song apart from Moulin Rouge??), but the ambience of the strings in this version match perfectly with what they told they want to do... This song and I Knew I Loved You are very similar musically... Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
fred Posted September 28, 2010 at 01:38 PM Posted September 28, 2010 at 01:38 PM Thank you! This is gonna be very interesting. I love the album version, hope I will enjoy this one as much. Very much appreciated, Javito and Mr Jorge Calandrelli! /fred Quote Peace and love to all.

fred Posted September 28, 2010 at 02:23 PM Posted September 28, 2010 at 02:23 PM People people let's rejoice about this wonderful gift Javito and Calandrelli has provided for us for just a little while, before asking for other stuff! I really really do like it. Ever since I started listen to Céline in the end of the 90ies I craved for her do be accompinied with a real orchestra, I thought it was a mockery to her own extraordinary instrument to be accomponied with cheap electronic ones like in most parts of the TCOML album. So hearing her voice in the middle of an orchestra is like watching a fish in the water. (However times have changed and today I would like to see her voice along heavy cool electro-pop, a la most of the IDAN mixes.) This version is fantastic and is a very qualified compliment for me who has overplayed the album version. But I also see why they went with the more "simple" version for the album (as pointed ou by Céline in that interview). There is one little flaw with this orchestral version, and I don't know if it's because I've heard her on the album version too many times, but she and the orchestra at times seems a bit off synch from one another. One example is on the last "and then one day..." the orchestra had built up enourmus momentum but Céline comes in a little too soft. But overall. I love this version too. Send my regards to señor Calandrelli, Javito! /fred Quote Peace and love to all.
Shaun Posted September 28, 2010 at 02:29 PM Posted September 28, 2010 at 02:29 PM Yeah that's a great observation Fred. This is an outstanding version of the song but you can also see why they chose the piano only version to end the ANDHC album. Saying that though it's just such a joy to unearth these hidden gems after all this time. Just what else is out there? Great work once again Javito! I see what you mean Fred, perhaps in that moment her voice entered slightly late with the orchestra accompaniment, but overall, its still an amazing work! To be honest, I don't think we have heard before such beautiful section of string joining a humming Céline! :in_love: The minute 2:33 is just epic . I don't remember a similar moment in her discography except for I Knew I Loved You (and it's not this "big") Yeah that's a great observation Fred. Saying that though it's just such a joy to unearth these hidden gems after all this time. Just what else is out there? Great work once again Javito! Who knows! But what I know is that Sony could have made a second full CD in the ANDHC, if we count the different versions of the songs, tracks in other languages, edited versions etc! They could almost do an ANDHC II only with these songs and the new Melvin Sokolsky artwork! I don't remember a similar moment in her discography except for I Knew I Loved You (and it's not this "big")Indeed! I always found IKILY nice, and very well put, and I couldn't find anything to complain about except the cheesy and unrealistically sentimental lyrics, but there was always something I thought it lacked. I still don't know what it is, but what I can say is that Nature Boy (Orchestral Version) does not lack this component. To be continued in finding out what component I am searching for. Shaun Posted September 28, 2010 at 03:30 PM Posted September 28, 2010 at 03:30 PM Leftovers included in One Heart album??...More??? And this is just ONE album in her discography... Who knows what else is out there!! Aside from "I Drove All Night" isn't the whole of the "One Heart" album leftovers? What is clear about finding gems like this one though is the sheer amount of work that went into the "A New Day Has Come" album, the amount of material and mixes they considered for it and the time and effort into getting everything about the album just right. It really is an outstanding album and new finds like this just compliment it. Javito Posted September 28, 2010 at 03:57 PM Author Posted September 28, 2010 at 03:57 PM Leftovers included in One Heart album??...More??? And this is just ONE album in her discography... Who knows what else is out there!! Aside from "I Drove All Night" isn't the whole of the "One Heart" album leftovers? To be honest, I think so, for the simple reason that the only images we have of the recording sessions of One Heart are from the IDAN song. We never got to see her singing the other songs. But how can one be 100% sure? What is clear about finding gems like this one though is the sheer amount of work that went into the "A New Day Has Come" album, the amount of material and mixes they considered for it and the time and effort into getting everything about the album just right. It really is an outstanding album and new finds like this just compliment it. Exactly. If one thing is clear about this album, is the huge amount of illusion that everyone put in doing it. You can feel the passion and love they dedicated to this project. It was Céline's return to the music industry, and they wanted it to be done as good as they could, and in every aspect that a music CD can include. It's a very special album for Céline, and one can feel that I just hope that the process is repeated again for her comeback english album next year Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
