"Sans attendre" album - Official Topic

sfbaysinger, I will love her forever no matter what as well but probably exactely because of that, I like to discuss and put opinions on what she'd doing. Just because I care.

Don't want to burst your bubble but no, she's not perfect as none of us is. She and/or her team do make mistakes from time to time as well as they surely can't satisfy everyone in everything, that's obvious.

I know most likely noone from her team is reading this topic and they don't really care what we have to say as they'll do it all their way anyways but I enjoy discussing and expressing each others wishes, dreams and suggestions, even if they'll stay just among us here forever, lol.

Since we got ESINRQU on Feb. 14th and D'Elles in May, I suppose unfortunately a French album is not in sight, since we didn't get any news about a possible first single yet.

Well day by day is chance still lower while there is no info about it and also no mention in Rene´s interview for Le Jeournal de Montreal, but till may is still 3 months so maybe finally new french album become ...but it´s really long time to waiting, it´s first time in Céline´s carreer that is so long time between two albums.

In the REAL WORLD, mothers are entitled to 8 months maternity leave, if Celine wants to take some time off and spend it with her family, then bloody leave her be. Rene has said that she's been getting voice lessons, ready for Vegas. She's also going to Oprah and doing interviews and shoots for various magazines - even in pregnancy, she was a workhorse.

Totally agree!! We should be patient and wait for certain and official news at any time they may come, without making various and pointless judgements. Celine has always been working hard for her comebacks in the past, why should be indifferent this time..?!

but she decided herself to go back to vegas and take little rest after her pregnancy.

So wouldn't it ok if people are asking theirself when the new album is coming....

I knew that answer would cause a commotion, i didn't mean she can't rest or spend time with her family, it's life. But come on! as a fan i can't wait to hear some NEW music, like all of us. I'm sure that's all we really want, MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC!

Considering the instrumentals of the upcoming French album are done, as she said herself during the Julie Snyder interview, she just has to record the vocals for - let's say - 14 tracks. And I think she already recorded 1/3 of them, as the album was supposed to come out last Fall. That's not much work, IMO. So, if the album doesn't come out yet, it should mean they're changing bits and bobs.

Not to mention how funny will be for all the producers, musicians and engineers that have worked in a song to finally see that it is cancelled because Céline or René have changed their minds

 

Come on, some of you talk of recording an album as if it takes ages to do it! Well it may be like that for Whitney, but not for Céline deffo! We know she can easily record 2 songs per day, so that means a whole album within a week

Unfortunately, none of the songs have been recorded yet.... and decisions haven't been made yet at this time.

If Celine can record quickly, it's probably because she does her "homework" first and reviews the material before she goes into the studio... She knows her stuff and she can nail the songs fairly quickly!!

The only producer/songwriter who made her 'work' hard a little was Kara. Gone are the days when JJG would make her sit, play the music and understand the lyrics and come out with masterpieces as D'eux and SISDA. Her laziness and don't-give-a-damn attitude towards her music is hurting her credibility as an artist, and pushing her forward to being just a 'singer' who sings other's songs.

I really want her to be credited with something and not some half-arsed lame project just cos she wants to give something to her fans so that they can be happy. Don't want to compare, but look at Shania. She hasn't come out with anything for years now. If she wanted she could have, but she really wants to give something good to her fans and not just run-of-the mill album just to please them. That is what I want from Celine -the artist and not this Vegas bombshell that Rene has been trying to mould into. I'm sorry to say it, but I'm totally disgusted by the little interest she has been having towards her music and putting up just a 'show' that has been recycled so many times.

 

Hope there will be some announcement regarding this album in the Oprah taping.

This is so true! The last album where she was actually fully involved was probably ANDHC (and maybe 1F4T)...

Yeah… Celine has had a total disconnect from recording her albums in recent years. I hope she takes her time and records meaningful music. It's more work… but we'd all appreciate it a lot more.
