Hi,

Sorry if this was asked already.. but where can buy the 2 Disc Deluxe Edition of "Through the Eyes of the World"? I've read that it'll be released May 25th but I haven't seen it in music stores here(I live in Toronto, Canada). I also ordered it at Amazon.ca but got this e-mail:

I Want a new version of the DVD, an ultimate box with "GS book, a 100% full french concert, a 100% full english concert, and a true documentary about the tour with rare performances, backstage moments, change dresses, soundchecks :ranting:

I really do love her as a mom, I love her son, I love her husband but I expected a documentary about the tour not about lions, restaurants...

Guess I have to do my own version of everything

I don't care about all the DVDs but for me Taking chances is the best area of all Time and it can't end with those bad releases

I don't hate the new DVDs, but I have quite a few disappointments. I wish the releases were more like this:

TTEOTW:

DVD1: Documentary - no songs from the TCWT DVD put in, all songs shown have to be a mix of footage from around the world, and feature backstage footage too like the 2hr version, and if possible be shortened. I was totally fed up with TC, Alone, EOM and ML. Why did JIOTI (another added song) get special treatment when the others didn't?? Also, I wanted more footage from soundchecks, maybe the TC montage that we've seen on the promo DVD, that would have been more fun. I wanted more insight into the band and technicians. I was a bit annoyed that they focused so much on the dancers, and not her band who she's been with for decades! They were completely forgotten in this film. Also, there should be a whole section dedicated to the rehearsals for the tour. I'd love to see all the decision making about the setlist too!

DVD2: Bonus DVD - with the following (in 5.1 surround sound):

-I Got The Music In Me (South Africa)

-Can't Fight The Feeling (Australia)

-That's Just The Woman In Me (Dubai)

-A World To Believe In (Japan)

-A New Day Has Come (South Korea)

-Think Twice (UK)

TCWT:

DVD1: The Concert - 2 completely separate concerts from Boston and Montreal, no mixed footage/ vocals. Celine would have to re-record IDAN, TPOL, TC, EOM, ABM, Alone and MHWGO twice as they were included in both setlists. Also, I wanted the full IDAN intro and speeches, and no cut songs like IYA from the English DVD & TPOL from the French one. DVDs to be titled "Live in Boston" and "Live a Montreal" to match Celine's previous concert releases (LAP, LIM, LILV). Also, the concert DVDs should have been released in a DVD case or digipack, not a CD case! Also, the cover should have been different and the English and French covers should have been different.

DVD2: Bonus disc - a backstage all-access bonus feature showing what happens under the stage throughout the concert, with costume changes, the dancers, the band, the elevators!! Preferably an English version for Boston and a French version for Montreal.

CD: completely separate CD release (in a jewel case), English edition and a French editions - with different covers!

Don't agree with that! The intro is so poweful in a live CD (in the french CD its even in FULL version! :clap: :in_love: ) , and thanks to New Mego's Flamenco track it added new freshness to this concert! Had it not been for this song, the concert would be almost a copie of ACDS!! So I feel thankful to them for having included that song :yes:

I don't agree with you for IACTBM since it's from a medley! And I don't agree with you for The prayer, she sounded great! I agree for the other songs though

yeah I agree with Javito! and the soul medley is a waste, but It's a mans world would be out of place without... and I do agree, the Queen medley should have been on the cd :dots:

but we could go on and on about the songs, but it'll all come down to this: if the setlist was much better and not AND + TC songs, than the whole cd/dvd would have been better, musicwise :whistling:

I have to say I do agree with the people who are saying "why" are the Soul Medley (otherwise known as Barnev's mini concert) and Mego's Flamenco on the live CD. Both are not needed and especially when they are taking up space which could've gone to other tracks - I'm Alive and The Show Must Go On.

However, if the cuts were necessary then I think the intro could be merged with IDAN and we could lose the Soul Medley. I'm not a fan of We Will Rock You but I cannot believe they didn't include The Show Must Go On as it is one of the highlights of the show.

I also am very disappointed that they didn't include Fade Away - would make mush more sense to include this live song than EOM or even SOL. And I'm Alive should definitely be included.

Quite simply it wouldn't have fit onto one CD as a CD is only capable of holding 80 mins worth of audio. However a double CD album could've been considered so we could've got the whole show.

Honestly I'm not totally convinced this isn't something we will yet see - an "ultimate tour collectors box" - with the entire show on both cd and dvd plus the documentary and the programme.

Yeah, the DVD is far from full. I burned a DVD that was 2 1/2 hours long with a full menu and everything....using home equipment....they're using "special" discs and professional equipment and they can only get 1 1/2 hours..

Ridiculous.

Wouldn't it be great if we had two distinct shows. I mean, an English DVD that included the IDAN acapella, I'm Your Angel and Think Twice. The French DVD could include The Prayer (a definite must as I was so excited to see it performed live in Nice! - was it performed in Montreal?) and TPOL. Both would include more extensive speeches, and I would like to see more of the band and backing singers. It would have been nice to have footage of them in LCMM as they seem to have concentrated on Celine and the dancers as they move around the stage.

I probably seem very ungrateful but I am very happy with all that we have. I just think a few minor details could be changed to make the DVDs perfect. Can anybody tell me what else has been left out? I mean, I know some rare songs that were performed like TJTWIM and ANDHC would be nice as bonus features but songs like TT that were performed several times should definitely have been included. Then, there would be some variety in that we could have, for example, TT on the English DVD and TP on the French DVD.

All the performances of the movie were from Monston and those full performances of EOM, TC, why are they on the movie too? So yes, I think we (I?) have a reason to be "ungrateful"

I can't agree with dumping "I'm Alive" Javito, especially if they keep the more upbeat version seen on the latest tour. It's one of the few upbeat songs Celine has that actually works live.

Conversely I think we can safely assume we've seen the last of "Eyes On Me", ""Shadow Of Love", "Fade Away", and possibly "Taking Chances" live though. I can't see her rolling those out again for future shows / tours.

I agree though that it would be great to see the more recent "hits" performed live such as "A New Day Has Come" and even "One Heart." Heck thinking about it now it would've been great to see many of the "A New Day Has Come" songs sung live too for novelty's sake and the fact she hasn't toured with them. Would've loved to see "Have You Ever Been In Love" and "Prayer" live for example.

We will however i'm confident to say still get "Love Can Move Mountains." :mdr:

In Vegas, she picked up the awful habit of moving her jaw during long notes to compensate for the fact that she wasn't singing but this is a lot less noticeable here. Do you think she has been told by her people or is she actualy singing more of her songs live?

Celine's people are not that involved with the technical aspects of her on-stage gestures or articulations let alone "tell" her anything.

I don't speak with any authority....I'm just not closed minded/in denial/delusional like so many people are when it comes to the whole playback issue.

Everything I state regarding playback is based on some sort of research (that has resulted in logical evidence) or proof. Yes, there are a few times where logic is involved, but I make quite sure that people know exactly how I know what I know.

Additionally, I never post that something is lipped unless I am 100% certain that it is. There are a few songs that have gave me trouble....IACBTMN (FIY Tour), The Reason (LTAL), MHWGO (High Notes Only) (LTAL), and RDMH (AND)....and for those songs, whenever I have gave any sort of opinion on those I have made it clear that I really am not 100% certain.

So please, don't tell me that I'm speaking around here like a know it all with authority. If you are in denial over the issue, that's your (poor) choice...but don't take it out over a post made out of clear logic.

i agree with u , also i got the bonus cd from Qvc n its sucks that they didn't include the MHWGO remix of I'm Alive... But im happy with The Show Must Go On on the Qvc CD...
