Her contract is atleast for 5 years maybe more(was it ever confirmed?) I wonder when we may get a dvd of this one. I'd assume it would depend whether she goes beyond 5 years right? When they renewed after the initial 3 years it was indefinite, so I guess it's for however long they want to stay as long as the show is doing well. She's selling the Florida complex and moving everything to Vegas while home schooling RC. That was a surprising move to me because she said her LV dates revolved around his school schedule. I really wish we could ask someone from her team, not that they'd say anything....wish I could ask Rene Just a follow up to this I decided to send anyone involved with Celine's Vegas show a message in the only way I could via twitter so I sent Celine, Sony , Productions J, and Caesars a tweet telling them that if they don't already know there is interest for a dvd of the current show. Sent it a few days ago got no reply back but then again wasn't expecting one just hopefully they saw it and will keep it in the back of their mind for the future. Posted this in the twitter thread but thought I'd also post it here for anyone interested. Quote

Not too many as I know she doesn't want to be there like she was with AND but I still wonder. Also, part of me wonders if they will re-do the show once the original run is up. Five more years (8 total) is a long time to do the same show, with only minor changes here and there. If they do, I wonder if we'll get a DVD of Celine sooner than later? I would think, with the success of all of her live DVD's, that there will be DVD of this show at some point. At least that's what I really hope they do!! Totally. I hope we get a dvd of the show it is so beautiful but your right with so many more years ahead how are they going to keep it fresh? If they need to re-vamp the whole show I'd love to have a dvd of the show the way it is now because I've seen it live the way it is now and I fell in love with it.(well except maybe a few songs she's cut since I went) and then maybe in a couple of years one of how it is around the time it comes to a close. I dunno just what I'd like doesn't mean they'll do it that way. With AND for the most part it wasn't too different at the end from the begining ok except a few minor changes in the setlist and the costumes but with 8 years I can't see them keeping the show exactly the same. Ugh I wanna ask Rene so badly but obvs I can't. And after my last failed attempt I am not going to write to feeling productions again just for that. I hope they know we want one. We do know they have some footage ie: what's been shown in public, on tv interviews and of course the Colussium commercial. Quote

But I think it won't be the same show until 2019...I mean how to you sustain ticket sales without a little change up? right? I think we'll see obviously some new dresses/warddrobe, maybe some new special effects/images for the songs, and obvioulsy some introduction of new songs and deletions of others. tristan.josef Posted November 15, 2013 at 09:35 PM Posted November 15, 2013 at 09:35 PM i really actually don't see them coming up with a whole new show even part way through the run....unless something drastic happen where she couldn't sell tix anymore to this one (doubtful haha) there would be no need for a huge brand new completely different show. i think the process of the show evolving with new video clips, new songs, intros, effects, etc yes, but not the overall concept of "class and elegance" with the huge orchestra. Céline has said too this is the favorite show she's ever done...she sounds the best with that orchestra, and people want to hear her sing, so why fix what aint broke as they say? i think it'd be cool too to see a brand new show for the sake of variety, but as i don't see that happen i think we just need to be happy that at least we have a great quality show with her front and center with great music supporting her, and hope for the best possible switches and song changes to keep things fresh and fun and maybe some surprises thrown in, too! 1 Quote
