[Fake] Celine Dion ...in Athens? A new world tour? Huh?

and a really quick translation : She's coming! Celine Dion will visit us probably in the summer for a concert in Athens. According to the info, her manager had accepted a proposition from Greece in early Fall, but unfortunately there wasn't any time left for the concert to be organized in time. She wants to have Greece as one of the following stops of her big European tour that is about to begin the spring of 2010.

Looks like a gossip magazine. We had lots of articles like that in the 90's here in Mexico too saying she was going to come for the LTAL tour but nothing happened. I wouldn't trust the source to get too excited yet.

What i don't understand (if this is true) is how they (being Sony etc) expect people to buy the TC dvd after seeing a new show? I can sort of understand it if the tour is an extension of the TC tour, but if its a totally new show then won't it overshadow the dvd?? Not to us die-hard fans but to others? After all, that's who they're trying to win over aren't they?? New fans, new airplay, new industry respect??

btw: I don't think this is true, but if it is..... she needs to do a show in Beijing and Belfast, after all those are two promises she made, after having to cancel both places.
One very recently and the other 10 years ago...

This magazine is not a gossip magazine, its one of the best! Maybe they know people in Sony that we don't. Who knows!

I contacted Celine's publicist earlier today about this, and normally within an hour or two, she gets back to be to say its either true, false, or they have no info, at present....

So far I've heard nothing, so..... :shrug:

There are to many rumours going around at this stage about projects and appearences. I seriously think someone from Celine's team needs to clear all of them up... before we all go crazy...

I've send a mail towards my contacts within Céline's management team. I hope to get an answer soon, when I get something I'll post it ASAP.

And may I please ask all of you to discuss this in English? I love to read all the comments but unfortunately I don't have the capability to read or speak Greek Thanks!

I wish you had done Darren! I would love to see Celine in Belfast. Last year or the year before, there was an article published that said Celine was the artist that most people wanted to see in the Odyssey Arena!

Only 15 minutes after my mail was send I received this answer from Céline's management:

Hi,

we also wish you a very nice your 2010 - Concerning your second
question we never heard of Céline going on an European Tour

I've asked about Athens and a possible European tour so you can say it's all false!

And yeah thats true, I read that also.....

Some of todays biggest music stars, have been to Belfast to perform there over recent years and still are coming, and she performed down the road in Dublin..... so really she has no excuse!

As I was on the case 9 months before she started her uk leg of the tour, I contacted the Odyssey, and Irelands two biggest promoters, who were all up for it, but were waiting to hear from her people, so I contacted them also, and bugged all three parties over the remaining 8 months, but as we know it never happened '' for watever reason '' , so when I met Celine in London briefly during the London shows, I reminded her of her promise ( in a nice way ofcourse ), and she just nodded her head, and shrugged her mouth, said nothing but gave me the '' oppps yeah, I know sorry '' look while looking me in the eye... so I left it at that, but I felt a tad bad, but I was polite, and was just asking the question.....

I'm over it now, but if shes to tour again, or even does a few european cities this year like rumoured... she owes it to the Northern Irish people and the people of Beijing having ''promised'' she'd perform there when she tours again....

As she kept her word for the other cities and countries she cancelled in 99, when she added them to the ''TC'' tour, so all I'm asking is that she keep her other promises..... and also visit Spain ofcourse, as shes huge there, and they were left out of this tour also.

Ok, I've vented..... lol

Sorry guys but I had to get that off my chest.... its the one thing, actually the only thing that really annoys me about Celine, lol.

Didn't believe it for a second but when it's being printed on paper there's a reason to check it out. Seen a lot of sites announcing a lot but few were correct, however when a printed media is announcing something you can asume they doublechecked it at least but it seams that even that was to hard/much to do

Don't know if it was feeling that forwarded it since I've sended it to someone else also. This was actually the first time I received an answer from them, mostly I only get answers from either Feeling or my other source.

Anyway, I was amazed by the speed of the replies, most of the time it takes longer than this

Yeah it was... ( Been there, sent the email etc etc, lol ).

Feeling/cda are always prompt. with replies, and are always very helpful ( two ladies in particular ) , and always give an answer...... but why then forward the same email onto that lot, if they have already answered the question? lol

Its just weird.... :s
