Frida Posted October 11, 2009 at 01:31 PM Author Posted October 11, 2009 at 01:31 PM Where there's a will, there's a way! Exactly! I have (another) idea. The quilt will be sent with a card (thank you Ashley!), how do you feel about a dvd-pocket at the back of it? I was thinking we could make a dvd with video greetings (and picture+ audio for those without a camera), congratulating them and the baby. I think we have a whole bunch of excellent video-editing people here if anyone is up for the task! What do you think? Claudette Posted October 11, 2009 at 08:56 PM Posted October 11, 2009 at 08:56 PM (edited) I was so excited buying my fabric tonight that I told the guy at the cutting counter "THIS IS FOR CÉLINE DION!" I couldn't resist. I just had to tell him. You should have seen his face. It was amazing. He thought I was insane. I will never ever forget his face as long as I live. I mean, it was just Frida, before I buy my fabric, I just want to make sure I understand you correctly. The fabric must be 100% cotton and white/cream/beige (including the pattern on the fabric). The pattern must be small (I assume that is because you will have to cut it in squares and if the pattern is to big you won't see it). Will 1m be enough? idroveallnight Posted October 11, 2009 at 09:12 PM Posted October 11, 2009 at 09:12 PM This is a great idea. I remember some fans doing something like this for Celine a way while back when she was in Las Vegas and she absolutely loved it. They had a lot of our favorite pictures printed onto fabric and she went crazy when she saw one of the patches was a photo of Celine, Rene, and RC of when they were all infants. I'm pretty sure it was Marisa who was in charge. I don't know if she still posts here. The last time I saw her post was in 2007 when she had tickets available for the final shows of A New Day. I'm sure you can contact her to find out how she got it to her. I don't think Celine has the quilt draped over her living room couch, but I'm sure she did something nice with it. Quote

ashleylovesceline Posted October 12, 2009 at 05:58 AM Posted October 12, 2009 at 05:58 AM If you want to do a video thing, I can help with that too, of course. But I think the quilt and the card is more than enough. As for the card, if any of you have any ideas as to what is should say, look like, etc. Let me know! And should we list all of the participants names inside? I came up with an idea about how there are threads that hold together a quilt, just like the threads that hold our forum together. But I don't think Céline would even know what a forum thread is... Haha. I was part of the quilt project Marisa did, and she went backstage and gave it to her before a show in Las Vegas. It's always much, much easier to get things to Céline when she isn't on a break. But we'll figure something out. Quote

I love projects like these! I just love giving gifts to people I care about, it's so much fun! Stitched with love from all of her fans. Love it. Quote
