Doing a test tonight...

 

I'm not 100% happy with it (when you look at it closely), but I think this is what'll happen to all fonts that aren't "original" embroideries.

Took a shade of beige that seemed to fit with the overall colour of the quilt. Not the easiest thing, there are a few to choose from

Hey guys, any ideas you have about the card, what it should look like/what it should say - please let me know! I'm brainstorming now, and will hopefully get started on it as soon as I can. I need ideas, as to what our message will be inside. We could use a song quote for that... or I could put a song quote on the front of the card... ?

 

Also, would any of you be willing to sign a piece of paper, scan it, and send me your signature? This way, your actual signature would be printed inside the card. Just an idea, let me know who can/wants to do that.

 

I will be making a trip to my favorite scrapbook store on Monday to shop. I wonder if they make anything that says "babies" instead of just "baby"...

I could do my signature Ashley I'll be on my college campus Monday and I have plenty of time to kill between classes so I can sit down and write up a very neat signature. If I don't write it neatly it will be eligible. I have the worst handing writing, but I could do it in cursive and actually write nice so its readable.

Hehe, yeah sewing and emroidery are my mother's #1 interest so there's nothing I can't find in her sewing room.. including juuuust the right shade of shocking pink thread LOL

I think it looks great.... My only question is even though we know she's supposed to have twin boys, is that maybe it should say "welcome to the the world little one" instead of "welcome to the world little guy"

 

The only reason I'm bringing that up is because it happened to my sister. The dr's were 80% sure it was a boy, and she ended up having a girl....

 

Regardless of what you write I think it's a beautiful gift and a wonderful thoughtful idea that you came up with.... I wish I would of had money to give, but things have been tight on my end, and I didn't have anything extra to give till it was to late.

^ I see your point about writing "little one" instead of "little guy", but would they really announce anything this second time if they were not 100%, absolutely, fool proof certain it was correct? And how long ago was it that we had a video of Rene at some tournament (?) saying they were two boys? By that time they MUST have been sure? With all those doctors around... But you're right, you never know...

 

 

(Oh, and everyone keeps thanking me for coming up with the idea, but it was a group decision last fall, I can't take credit for it)

I think that it looks beautiful but yes, 'one' would be smarter (but i think we should decide on it once you test it), doctors might do mistakes but on the other hand though in case of Celine they're really careful... but still who knows:P November will tell

I think that "one" sounds better anyway. Even if she has the best doctors in the world, they could still make a mistake with the gender.

Otherwise, it's perfect. I love the color and the font.

Test #2 might have to wait until sometime next week, have quite a lot to do starting tomorrow (holiday's over, back to reality), and the leak (oh yes, found major water damage in a ceiling) didn't exactly help...
