No joke, that's RC's new look.... He doesn't look to happy about it. Not the best picture either... I have to admit, I like his long hair better, but he's a total cutie no matter how his hair looks. I wish I had his hair, it's gorgeous no matter the lenght!

That being said, I hate when schools impose haircuts, like the army. People express themselves a lot throught their hair, no matter how young they should be allowed to keep it as they like. Also, I hate school that do that and impose these male/female stereotypes. That pretty much means they impose all kind of stereotypes, not just hair related and I hate that.

 

They could have chosen another school if they did not like the rules. I think the school is good for not bending the rules, including for people as important as Celine and Rene. The school obviously has a standard they would like to uphold and I am sure they did not reach the level of prestige that they have by giving in to those who don't agree with their grooming rules. Celine and Rene obviously agreed to these regulations, otherwise they would not have enrolled him in the school. I wish all schools were like that (I'm a teacher) but unfortunately they don't and I tell you, we face some challenges because of it. That's just my opinion.

I see no Vol. number or anything like that but there is one important number, dates and how much it costs in many countries all over the world in very very small print on the side of the cover. Here is what I think could help you. Good luck!

Of course they agreed and I'm sure it's a great school, that was not my point. I was saying I don't like that kind of regulation, I find it too restrictive and I don't like stereotypes, that's all.

Thanks! I read it last night after it took me a gazillion years to translate the article. I better start practicing my French. Once I've handed in my thesis at the end of November, I'm starting to take this learning French thing serious again...

Could someone perhaps create a link somewhere in the forum for those of us who don't have access to international magazines that feature Celine so that we could purchase them? (Does the question make sense?). I'd really like to have a copy of this magazine but I don't like having to burden someone to purchase it, mail it, and then wait for a check or money order to reimburse them.

Céline was sick very often during the last tour, she cought a lot of things all through the tour and it was very hard on her health. Gérard S. says we can't even imagine how hard it is and that kind of tour is for one a real physical prowess évidently, visiting all those countries on the five continent in one year. He also said that even if Céline tried to protect herself the best she could, that wasn't enough because she cought at one point a respiratory virus when leaving Seoul he says and everyone of them had it too. From then on it was difficult health wise...

Thanks for the translation! Wow. It's shocking to hear about Céline being so miserable during the first years in Vegas... I'm glad they worked everything out. I can still see her returning to Vegas though. I remember it being said, when she returned, it would probably be only a month or two out of the whole year. My guess is, they would spend the summer in Vegas. RC would be out of school during that time, so it wouldn't interfere with that. And I don't see her next show being as over the top as A New Day... and the TC tour.

 

Either way, I just hope she does return. We all know how Céline can change her mind... three years in Vegas turned into five + a world tour. I wouldn't blame her if she decided to retire and enjoy her family... but life would be so less colorful for us without an album here and there, and a live performance every year or so. It's only been a year since I've seen her, and I miss her!

If I remember correctly, we are still waiting for a response as to how we could actually get the award to her. It's still in the works though, I believe.
