i've just listened to Gwen Stefani's The Sweet Escape album and Leona's Spirit, and i've noticed one thing. Forgive Me and The Sweet Escape (song) has a really similar vibe. Both written and produced by Akon. now i know he's just repeating his formula (just like Stargate who wrote and produced B's Irreplaceable and Chris Brown's With You, anyone?)

 

that's the main problem with these new "producers". being repetitive.

I totally agree, that's a great observation! :thumbsup:

 

Even though they are so similar I prefer Forvige Me to The Great Escape.

 

I think With You and Irreplaceable are much more similar though, almost identical! :laugh: I prefer With You. :wub:

I have to say HANDS DOWN to Leona's new single "Run". It's the most amazing ballad

I've heard in a while and the original doesn't even come CLOSE to this.

Her best song yet and hopefully another hit for her. Well deserved. The music video is stunning too.

 

I really hope Céline's next effort will be likely.

the deluxe version of her album Spirit is already out here in the Philippines. :P it has the UK and US bonus tracks, and RUN, + a dvd of her videos BUT i'm not gonna buy this :lmao: i have the first 2 versions of Spirit anyways.

she did run well over a year ago now on radio 1's live lounge - it just shows you how a different person singing a song can make you love the song haha - i HAAAAATEEEE the snow patrol version. I hate his annoying voice. so im glad shes re-done it....better haha.

I was in love with Leona's version of 'I Will Be' for quite sometime but then Edwin told me that it's a cover of Avril's song and I had to listen to Avril's version and yup, Avril does it better (I so don't like Avril :P ). I hoped for 'Take a Bow' to be released but :(

 

Oh well, another one of my favs from the album, so I'm happy :P

I'm sick of hearing "Why buy the re-release for 3 songs?" :laugh:

The thing is not the original UK album with an added 3 songs.

Homeless (2008 Version), Better In Time (Single Mix), Footprints In The Sand (Single Mix)

...also replace the originals on this album! :dance:

They could have got rid of 'I'm You' though I hate that song with a passion! :glare:

I could live without Misses Glass too i'd have preferred a totally new song. Prefferabley not a cover :whistling:

ok so when I first heard about her I was really tired of the hype. great voice. didn't have a real personality or uniqueness to her voice (to my ears yet)

 

then i heard bleeding love and gradually fell in love with it

 

but still not really impressed

 

better in time was pretty good..but not as good as bleeding love

 

well I just heard and saw the mv for "run" and am F******** amazed. ITS SO BEAUTIFUL. and I really like both the original snow patrol version and the leona version, both offer something different.

I'm officially a leona fan (though obviously that can change)

 

and I'm starting to notice the uniqueness in her voice. she can do that soft whispering thing mariah does except with leona it's not annoying because it is still loud enough vs mariah's which is really over the top almost where you can't understand her. and also leona's falsetto is soooooooooooo warm and <3 it's really beautiful when she goes up high. idk if it's the studio effect or what.

 

although i'm still really annoyed and tired of simon cowell and his arrogant retarded comments about how she's going to be the greatest and acting like he should take the credit for it
