poor sweetie she was really sad on the french interview she cried but the english interview she was fine she probably decided to take composure and continue talk about Micheal.. What a sad day for Celine and all of Micheal fans..

I couldn't stop crying but finally ok... Micheal wouldn't want us to to feel Celine.. Omg if ever something happened to Celine I would be a reck..

Thanks for posting all the interviews XO

Oh Gosh,

I can't even think of what I would do if something happened to Celine. I would also be a reck. It would be too much to take in....

Michael and Farrah's death was terrible news. I cried when I watched the documentaries on both of them. Watching the documentary on Farrah right now. Michael was on before her. Watching how he changed through the year was amazing. I love his music.

I was a wreck when Natasha Richardson died, I was angry, and upset at the sametime. When I read online that it was confirmed she died I went numb, my heart started beating so fast and I had trouble even telling my friend it happened. I could barely talk, I just went "Oh god no..." and she came over to the computer and I just pointed to the screen and was shaking....I had to stop watching the stuff on Farrah, her cancer hit to close to home since I lost my mom to cancer. I have to give my condolences to Michael's fans, they've certainly lost an idol.

On the news they are showing everyone around the hospital in California. Farrah's documentary just ended and it was so sad. It is so sad, I don't know what to say about it anymore. I'm gonna be up late tonight watching everything on the both of them. Tears just come to my eyes everytime.

The first thing I thought when my room mate told me as I was about to take a nap

WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING? :o

I know a few songs of his and I'm aware of his massive global success and legendary status.

I sang "Man In The Mirror" in the 4th grade along with some classmates for the school.

I also thought I know Celine is a fan because I saw a video from 1988 of her doing "Bad" live

dressed up like him and doing all the moves. I have Michael's song with other artists including Celine

What More Can I Give/Todo para Ti.

Isn't this line comm' du Jackson in "Des Mots Qui Sonnent" refering to him?

I also thought I would like to know what Celine is thinking and how sad she must be.

I feel sad for his family, kids, close friends, and those who have done anything with him in his career.

To the millions of diehard fans whom I see when the tv shows crowds of people coming out for anything Michael screaming their hearts out to him, I feel so bad for your idol and I would like to offer big hugs!

Watching the news I wasn't aware of any health problems he had because I'm not a follower of his.

R.I.P. Michael :rip:

and hugs to Celine too.

* December 18, 2008. 1st time ever in front row for a concert and it was with my idol Celine!

Dream #1 accomplished.

While singing a ballad the only time Celine looked at me was the time I had my sign up luckily!

She stretched out her arm palm faced up while singing with even more emotion in her eyes when she saw it, so it seemed like it was just for me at that moment.

Dream #2 accomplished with the extra bonus!

She came and left on my side. I went out 1 row, held up my sign and she stopped, held it herself,

and just looked at it with an awe expression on her face, stunned and amazed when she saw all the glitter!

She looked me in the eyes with those beautiful brown eyes of hers she was tuned into me at that moment and didn't look away, again her looking so emotional as I said with a sincere look on my face to her "It took me 5 hours to make this." (could have been more not sure)

She looked down and away very touched like maybe she wanted to cry then she HUGGED me!!!

She held me for more than just a moment She really took her time! I said to her while about to cry from the hug, "I love you so much!" Then that was it I don't think she said a word to me.

I was crying and saying omg all night with my heart racing and my mind in SHOCK from the unexpected hug and my eyes so sore from crying. I was ready to drop when I got home, but was so emotional I stayed up until 6:30 a.m.! Cried a little for a few days after. Sign and front row seat saved the day!

Dream #3 accomplished... Me at :13 NOT my video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L62QJoUgN80

The sad news was announced to Céline just 20 minutes before she did the french interview, almost 2 hours before she spoke to Larry. So I guess that's why she was more emotional on the first one I guess. A lot of memories came to her mind at that moment...

I agree with all of you.. Just a sad day.. This totally sucks and so unfair he was so looking foward to his tour and Celine was looking foward to his show.. I will be watching everything too until they are done they have to do an autopsy for Micheal, so we will find out more.. Like Celine I think it was to much for poor Micheal and his meds too.. It was nice to hear from her.. everything is just so sure real..:( Edited by CelineDion5

What a sad day... it's almost too much to wrap your mind around.

One of the first things I thought of was... I feel for the fans, the people who feel for Michael the way we do for Céline. I would be inconsolable. I also thought of what a huge inspiration Michael was for Céline... it must be so hard for her.

It's so unexpected, I don't know if it'll ever quite sink in.

Thank you for the link, MrTim212. I just missed hearing her on Larry King Live by about 20 minutes.

As Celine herself said my sympathies go out to all of Michael Jackson's family and friends. A true music legend has gone Home.

So she really didn't have time to process it before the French one and while talking about it, it probably was just sinking in. She is a fan of Michael's like we are of hers so just imagine what she's going through. I'm glad that she has that stability she talked about earlier. She has Rene and Rene-Charles to help keep her going and to help keep her spirits up during this horrible time.

I was really looking forward to his concert. I envy those who have seen him live. He was an all-around performer. He could actually sing and dance LIVE. Very, very few people can do that. We all know Celine ain't no dancer!

Her phone call was nice. I love some of the things Larry King said. Particularly - to enjoy this calm before the media storm of all the bull-crap stories from Michael's life. Just enjoy his legacy. And remember him for what he gave us and we know to be true - his artisty. And none of the speculation.

Celine Dion on CNN with Larry King:

I am shocked like the rest of the world. It doesn't sink in right now. I'm overwhelmed by this tragedy. I have to say to you, Michael Jackson's been an idol for me all my life. I remember being in my house when I was very, very young and having his posters above my bedroom. He's been my idol all my life and looking up to him. And my goal was to be maybe doing the same show business world as him. And I was listening to his music and I hoped to be meeting him one day, and I have to tell you that I was very privileged to be on the same record company as him, and I did meet him a long, long time ago and I was so thrilled and nervous when I had the privilege of meeting with him. He was so kind, he gave me his autograph and I have a hat of his with his autograph and it always had an amazing meaning to me, but now it has a totally different meaning to me.

And we sang together, and I was looking forward to seeing his show in London, my husband and I, and Michael came to Las Vegas to see my show, and I was more than honored to have him.

LARRY KING: Did he come backstage?

He came backstage, we spent about an hour together and he had a lot of questions for me. He was very… to me, he seemed to be, like, I want to know so much. I want to know how it is to be in Las Vegas. How it is, Celine, to sing every night here, is it difficult, is it difficult to sing here every night, is it demanding? I felt that he wanted to know so much. And me, I wanted to know so much, I wanted to know so much from him, but it seemed that, it seemed to me so fragile. And he wanted to have questions answered and I was amazed to have him in my dressing room.

LARRY KING: When you’re performing and you have someone like that in the audience, are you constantly aware of his presence?

Absolutely, you cannot do otherwise, and I have to say that I was questioning myself through the whole show: Can I announce him, do I give him his private time? Am I going to abuse his private time to announce him? Should I? I want to do it so much—and I did. I did announce him and the whole colesseum, the whole crowd went crazy, because Michael Jackson was not only an extremely talented person, he was unique and he was a genius. And when I said, “Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Jackson is with us tonight,” I thought people were going to jump off the balcony. People went crazy, and I have to say, it is such a loss, because even right now, we’re home and we’re watching images and it feels like when Kennedy died, when Elvis Presley died. We’re not only talking about a talented person dying, it’s an amazing loss.

My sympathy goes to the family. It’s a big loss. It’s not even sinking in right now. I’m looking at the image on TV, and my son is 8 years old—and he knows his name, he’s listening to his songs—but it’s brand new for him, like I’m rediscovering Michael Jackson again… I grew up with him, and through my son, I’m discovering his music again. He will never die. He will never, ever die. My sympathy goes to his whole family.

LARRY KING: From a performer’s opinion, what was his greatness? Was he a great singer?

I think he was just an amazing genius, dancing, singing. I think it’s so unfortunate, Larry, because since he’s very little, he’s under pressure. I think we all live under pressure, differently; we live under pressure because we want to give the audience and the fans what they look forward, what they expect. We want to do a better album, we want to do a better show. I think Michael Jackson lived under pressure all the time, since he’s 5 years old. One thing to please his family, his fans and putting the bar so high, that he needed to be suppressing his own self. And I think it’s unfortunate because the pressure was so tremendous, I am so sure, if you only live under pressure and you don’t have something like your family, your husband or your wife, your children… I mean, he probably lived so much… he didn’t have the balance. I am sorry, my sympathies to the whole family. It is a big loss for all of us.

Thank you for the transcript Chuck!! Céline said it beautifully! I think she's one of the few who really knows how it's like to be under constant pressure from a very young age! Some can handle it, for others the pressure gets too high

I'm very shocked by this news! He was and still is one the biggest artist in the world!!

Celine's speech was very good but I can't help thinking that she was talking a bit of herself too and what she has to going through with such a career...

R says: “The comparison to Presley is almost frightening. When you go that far you have no where else to go. Celine Dion says it the best. She says how you continue to try to beat yourself? You have no one else to out do so you try to out do yourself. Once you reach that pinnacle of success you have to learn how to coast through it. Celine went to Las Vegas and relaxed. Hendrix and others blasted themselves right out of here. Michael’s exit was slower. They are saying he was pretty sick. They also just reported that his will stipulates the Beatles catalog goes back to Paul. That he regretted losing Paul’s friendship.”
