Any news at all about a USA release? I just want this book and I can't afford the extra shipping for the french one.

Ticketmaster on twitter recently had a contest during the run of her film to win either a book, poster or CD autographed by Celine and I WON!! once we won we had to pick what we wanted and I of course picked the book (we had to be fast though since they only had 2 books, 8 CDs and 12 posters and it was first come first serve!)

 

I won the book and it came today!

sorry the quality isnt perfect but its on my cell!! =) ive never been so excited for a book before. Its GORGEOUS, huge and super heavy lol!!

Are there 2 publishers of this book then? I thought it was just 'Editions de la Martiniere', but the pictiure above is different. Are both versions hardback?

Because they are still negotiating (yes, still...) so there is no release date for now.

This is taking for ever. Why hasn't the book been made available yet? Have any english people purchased the book from France? Is it worth getting the french version?

I bought it back when it came out, and got it within 3 days or so, just had to cross the channel lol I think it's totally worth it, even if you can't understand French, there's not a lot of text in there, mostly a description of the pics, and so little that google translate can do the trick

well why 2 publishers cause one is for France one is for French Canada

 

i thought they could make some english version and sell them in her official site this way they don't really like worry about the books sales or so

I'm getting the photobook for my birthday in may (along with the new DVDs). My mum ordered it today from Amazon.co.uk for just £33! However Amazon says it's paperback - is this a mistake? I thought it was only available in hardback...

 

I wonder if an English version will ever become available?

When I ordered it, it also said paperback, but it is hardback. I think it is mistake and that it only comes in hardback.

 

I don't think it will become available in English, well not soon anyway (we are still waiting for Bombardier's book, so I've given up). That is why I ordered the French version, and I don't regret it at all. The book is truly beautiful and you don't need to understand French to know what is going on. The pictures really say it all. You are gonna love it. I really think the book captures all of Celine's qualities and you get to see different sides of her. You see her on stage (obviously), but also goofing around, laughing, joking, and even when she is scared and sick. Gerhard really did a great job with this book.

 

My favourite picture is definitely the one of her sleeping in the car in Chicago. Soooooo cute!

^^Not in english its not. Many english fans, myself included would like the book and be able to read it without trying or having to translate it online and most of the time from what I've found the online translators are about half wrong when they translate something. I want the Book SOOO Bad in English . i understand its a photo book and it hasn't got much writing in it , but still its nice to have something in your own language!!!. Why are we always promised something and then it suddenly changes! its really frustrating me now , i feel like wrighting a strongly worded letter using every bad word there is to Demand this book Because thats how they are making me Feel ... I bet i know what will happen , i will buy the french version , then just as i get it there will be an english one released

Keep in mind that you're actually one of the lucky ones who actually get Celine stuff in their own language.....there are people less fortunate then the english and french.

 

But I get what you're saying, I'm still waiting for that damn live in memphis DVD and millenium concert to be released
