Frida Posted January 29, 2010 at 05:49 PM Author Posted January 29, 2010 at 05:49 PM Congrats on your new items everyone! I don't know if I told you but I set up a "bag/shopping account" so that I wouldn't take more money from my savings account and I'm currently $50 away from a Neverfull MM ($100 for a GM) which was what I first said I'd save for, but now that I'm so close to affording one I want to save longer and get something much nicer... What should I do? Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png

What should I do?Well first, that's a fabulous idea! & Secondly, personally I would save longer, to get something nicer. The opportunity to get something else might not always be there, ya know? I don't know what I mean hahaha, buuuut, I would save up longer! Except... it would also be nice to have the Neverfull first and know you finally have it, then save up for something else! Quote
Frida Posted January 29, 2010 at 11:15 PM Author Posted January 29, 2010 at 11:15 PM Yeah.. The Neverfull looks GREAT on everyone else, but I have a feeling I'll always regret it and think "I wish I'd saved a bit more and gotten a ***** instead". Like a Palermo or something (just sold a few items and unless he changes her mind and wants to return them I pretty much can get the Palermo in a month or so) Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png

MTJ Posted February 3, 2010 at 04:03 AM Posted February 3, 2010 at 04:03 AM Money isn't a huge problem, Frida cos I want to give her something which has been long overdue If you haven't gotten her something yet, I would recommend taking her shopping so that she can choose. I mean, if you're going to spend the money, get her something you know she'll love. I'm sure she'd love it anyway, though. And if you think you couldn't do that b/c she would find the cheapest thing, you could maybe ask the salesperson not to let her see the prices? I'm getting ahead of myself, though. Quote

dj4celine Posted February 4, 2010 at 09:59 PM Posted February 4, 2010 at 09:59 PM (edited) Frida, Emily and Vroni, thank you so much. But I am still confused between the two But the problem is that the first one cannot be shipped to India I may still get it shipped to Germany and I can bring it back with me when I come back. Oh and yes, this will the birthday gift I would love to give to my mum cos it seems she has been wanting a bracelet/bangle for a very long time. Money isn't a huge problem, Frida cos I want to give her something which has been long overdue If you haven't gotten her something yet, I would recommend taking her shopping so that she can choose. Michael, I couldn't have agreed with you more. I love how you suggested about hiding the prices. But the thing is, if my mum finds out, she would never go to the jewelery store. I went there today with my cousin but didn't find anything worth getting. Also, in the Saks store, I noticed most of them are either 18k or 16k gold while the ones in the store are 22k and hence, the higher price. I will look for some more in a few days but I would rather keep it a secret and give it to her. Besides, I think I know her taste She like very simple ones but preferably with pearls and diamonds instead of other gems. Anyways, will show you guys what I got once I get it On a different note, I got a Levi's denim jacket which was up for 40% sale , a H&M jeans which was at a throwaway price and wanted to get shoes from Puma but they didn't have it in my size I will check out some other Puma stores as well cos I loved the shoe a lot. It's a leather and canvas sneaker and seemed really nice Ooh nice one, Bellamy! Was it up for sale or was it the regular price? Edited February 4, 2010 at 10:02 PM by dj4celine Quote

I wanted to use that only for certain occasions and not on a regular use. I prefer Adidas for that. I like their quality as it seems to be able to handle the Indian weather quite well Quote

Besides, I think I know her taste She like very simple ones but preferably with pearls and diamonds instead of other gems. The trend for designer jewelery by gold is 18K to 14K gold now. Cause it's easier to make complex designs. But at retail stores in China, people still prefer 24K or 22K gold, but the designs suck. Ooh nice one, Bellamy! Was it up for sale or was it the regular price? Had I bought anything at regular price? It's about $160 including shipping costs, which is more than 50% off. MTJ Posted February 5, 2010 at 07:12 PM Posted February 5, 2010 at 07:12 PM I've always worn Diesel sneakers, and I've always been super happy with them. They also have more style options than Puma. Quote
ladylindsey Posted February 5, 2010 at 10:31 PM Posted February 5, 2010 at 10:31 PM I can't wear sneakers. Or flip flops. It's disastrous. I fall down and stumble every other step. True story. High heels though- much less dangerous for me. I think it has something to do with ballet and dance and the center of balance. I was always on my toes. Can't walk flat footed. ahahaha I got a new pair of white skinny jeans and grey skinny jeans this week- just Forever 21, I am trying to save for other things but needed retail therapy after Oprah didn't call I went back to Louis Vuitton today while I was in the neighborhood Frida, they ARE selling the LV Wish....$3200, they had the Amethyst on display.... I was like, "Isn't this from 2008 limited release????" and the SA said, "Oh yes! It is!" I "WISH" they had a WHISPER I could take a stroll around the store with. Quote
