The truth is that I liked the song :)

Thanx bud!

Well... the song is... ok...

Her voice sounds great, but the song is... mmmm... Let's say that it would be an amazing song if it was only her singing. hehe

I'm kinda sad, there will be nothing new until the TCWT in December :(

I'm out of the loop, what's TCWT? Can't seem to get my head in gear lol!

As for the song, it's not great to be honest. Celine does sound good though.

How do you describe a feeling??

Wow Celine has been making loads of jazzie soft music nowadays.

So suddenly, it's clear to me

Things change

Our future lies in here and now

We live it through somehow

Now the greatest reward

Is the love that I can give

I'm here for you now

For as long as I live

You made me who I am

Thanks!

Celine sounds so sweet... But I don't like the song... I have to agree Lapointe's voice does not work for me.

'Ailleurs - Volume 1' Now in Stores

April 29 , 2009

A duet version of Celine's "L'amour existe encore" is featured on Eric Lapointe's latest album called 'Ailleurs - Volume 1.' This special duet was recorded during the 'Céline sur les Plaines' concert last summer and remixed for the purposes of this album, which is now available in stores across Quebec.

:hmm:

That's Eric Lapointe, this is Jean Lapointe. Two totally different people and two totally different songs... I just had the feeling you got confused.

The song is nice. I like the contrast between the softness of the melody and the harshness (if this is actually a word) of the lyrics. They're talking about the water being so polluted that soon we'll have nothing to drink anymore, but the melody is like a lullaby. Not crazy about it, but I find the song nice. But miles away from Acadian Driftwood, which I still listen to on repeat :giggle:

Just heard the full song and absolutely love it. Much more haunting and memorable than Acadian Driftwood.

Céline sounds great and the song is very soothing despite the brutal message.

Just wish Céline had an extra verse or two!

iPod Most Played List

The Power Of Love (several versions) - Céline Dion

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack

Si dieu existe - Céline Dion & Claude DuBois

Frankenstein - Antony & the Johnsons

In Some Small Way - Céline Dion

Bird Gerhl - Antony & the Johnsons

Le blues du businessman - Céline Dion

Ne rien savoir de Lol était la connaître déjà.

The song is wonderful when Celine sings. I don't care for Lapointe's voice; it overpowers Celine's beautiful voice. Celine is best when she sings solo.

On ne change pas.... c'est tres vrai, Celine, en particulier pour toi...

A "young" duet needed.... With Michael Bubblé please!

Antwerp ~ Paris ~ Dublin ~ Amsterdam ~ Berlim ~ Milan ~ Arras

Some people need no slogans or presentations.

And that was a wrap, folks!

:w00t: YES! I could not agree with you more, a Celine Buble duet would be simply divine!!!

Undecided on whether I like this song, the melody or something, voice stunning as usual (well Celine's at least :giggle: )

Yup, what's his butt ruined the song for me too. I couldn't bear to listen to it when he was singing which was most of the song. But what a voice, Celine

It's pretty and subtle song. I don't know if I'll be listening to it much... but maybe it's a grower. My favourite part is near the end where Celine harmonises and makes sonme very beautiful sound

I think Céline's voice is great on it!

Anyway it doesn't matter that much if it's a good song or not IMO, this duet was done out of friendship for Jean Lapointe's cd, just like JP Ferland did so for Jean also. Jean Lapointe has been a friend of the family for very long and Céline has appeared many times on his telethon to help him raise money when she was younger. I'm not surprise at all Céline accepted to do it when asked by Jean...out of friendship of course and to help in some way..I know the man needs money right now, he has some financial issues... and surely Céline being on his cd will help him sell more. That's the only reason she did this imo...with him at this time...That's how she is, that's how they are she and René. Happy she did!!! This should be appreciated for other reasons than a wise carreer move on Céline's part. It's not for her....it's friends behing there for each other when needed, that's all.. :thumbsup2: That's another reason I love them both(Céline and René).

Celine sounds fantastic! The song is horrendous and he sounds like the cryptkeeper. How a 700 year old man is still allowed to make cd's is just beyond me. He sounds absolutely atrocious and like he walked with Jesus back in the day. The last two duets she's came out with are just unlistenable for me. Her voice is horrid on Acadian Driftwood and his voice is horrid on this song. :/ She needs to quit duetting with old men. This is about the 4th old geezer she's sung with in the last couple years. She is dating herself so much by not singing with anyone current. She's gonna fade away into obscurity singing with the likes of Tony Bennet who is 300 years old, Claude du Bois, and Jean Lapointe who was there when Jesus died. It's starting to drive me crazy.

A duet with a 73 year old man? senator? Oh well :ermm:

I suppose Céline will wait until she is 70 to sing with really young and popular singers in her twenties

Perhaps the younger ones are too intimidated that she will "blow them away" (per Gloria Estefan: "All the Way TV Special") with her vocal power :msn-wink:

At least the older ones can hold their own :giggle:

Your right. Why aren't all these old people in nursing homes where they belong? How dare they make music!

I'm pretty sure they mean the Taking Chances World Tour if I'm not mistaken. ^_^

I don't like this one I'm afraid- his voice is terrible and no matter how nice Celine sounds, it's just a rubbish song with the two of them. Why in God's name isn't she duetting with younger artists? Oh yeah- cos she 'doesn't care or need to...' :s

:thumbsup2: Οr men at her own age :P

I listened to this song last night. I like Celine's voice. After he was singing for about 50 something seconds, I just about turned it off because I couldn't take it anymore. Then when they are singing together, he overpowers her. Her voice is just simple and amazingly beautiful. Maybe she will record it by herself.
