It's soooo good to see some of the songs there...but again Because You Loved Me, and My Heart Will Go On :glare: I would trade those two for That's Just The Woman In Me and On S'est Aimé à Cause ANYTIME!!! :kicking:

Céline Dion Comes to Star Académie

A final public appearance this Sunday at 7:30 p.m. on TVA

 

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 25, 2009) - Global superstar Celine Dion has chosen Star Academie as the site of her final public appearance this Sunday before taking an 18-month career sabbatical.

 

Academy contestants admitted they were impressed - and intimidated - by the news. Rene Angelil, husband and manager of Celine Dion, but also director of the Academie, offered them some reassurance: "Don't be intimidated! (...) She loves and admires you. She knows exactly how you feel. Don't forget that Celine started off by singing on television when she was only 13 years old."

 

Celine Dion will sing alongside the 2009 crop of contestants on the Quebec version of Star Academie. She will join them for a medley of her greatest hits and even perform two duets. Celine will also answer questions posed by Julie Snyder, Star Academie producer and host, and will certainly address her reasons for taking this career break after wrapping up her massively successful Taking Chances world tour.

 

Quebec group The Lost Fingers will also be part of this special evening dedicated to the power of music.

I watched the daily show tonight and some of them were talking about performing with celine. Jean-phillipe was saying he's super nervous.

I seriously CANNOT wait for Sunday.

JP will you be there?

 

edit: Ok so I'm watching videos on the star academie site where the voice teacher is telling them who's singing what. I'm now having more of a fit... and it's not healthy. lol

Elizabeth and I both have twitter accounts, if I remember through the excitement, I will try and post what's going on during commercial breaks. I obviously won't post throughout the whole show since it's live, and you'll see what's going on. Can't promise though, last time I tried to do that at a show I forgot the second she came on stage lol.

Good news fellow Celine lovers!!!

 

I just talked to Maude LaPointe in Canada and got the link so we all can watch Celine in her last show before she goes on sabbatical. Celine will be singing in French AND English. Sunday 7:30est

You can't really sell a ticket. They didn't get tickets. The person who won has to go and check in their name with an ID, and the guest they chose has to do the same thing. I believe they just get wrist bands. So you'd really just have to get someone to bring you as a guest.

when you want to watch something you have to press the grey box that says diffusion. Maude said there would be a show airing tonight, not with Celine, but in case you would want to try it out before sunday.
