Taking Chances album recording mistake?

Lol, i was listening to Taking Chances just now... and don't know if this was intentional or not, but did anyone notice at the beginning there's someone in the background yelling "One Two!" in a very low volume. was this supposed to be there? i just noticed it now and because it's so low i wasn't sure if it was even supposed to be there. if you don't know, just listen very carefully before the music starts in "That's just the woman in me".

I am going to listen and see! I know someone said there was a mistake in the tour book and i noticed on the back of the Ultimate Essential Collection CD they listed my heart will go on (love THEM from "titanic")

 

Im sure were all being way to crazy as far as little mistakes but hey, someones gotta do it! haha

LOL i started a topic about this a year ago, and it was merged with the existing TJTWIM thread. yeah i think it was supposed to be that way. it was intended, because it adds some excitement to the song, and it suited the song really well.

I believe they said on the song page (its the last page) The songs says "I'm you're angel" and should be I'm your angel.. I thought the same thing about MHWGO..

My MY LOVE stops for a while in the middle of the song in every cd (and i own 3) it's like a very short break

there is something with TC though, in the first seconds, when you play the sound really loud, you hear like either a little laugh (celine?) or a stretching of some kind (drums or something?)

at around 1:17 you could hear another one and only on the right channel

The counting is intended and is very cool IMO. It fits perfectly with the song and gives it an old school vibe.

Yes that was on purpose, it makes the song look more acoustic, more rough as it intended to be, very Janis Joplin at bit careless. I like it.

btw there is something annoying in the studio recording of Dans un autre monde, it's an irritating sound that should be part of the rhytym, but it's kinda off track and highly irritating!

I hear that everytime also, its kinda annoying for sure. It sounds like a mistake to me.

It sounds sorta like someone touching a guitar string quickly to me though there isnt one in the song

I think it was supposed to be there, just counting the tempo "one, two, go!", sounds great I think

 

And they are professional, they dont make that kind of mistakes believe me, I work in music production!

It was an interview or something, and she said (or one of the producers, I can't remember exactly), that she wanted the song to sound "live", as if she was singing it in a club. That's why they put the counting there. You know, before they start playing, the drumer would usualy count like that. It no mistake, it just made to sound live on stage.

Well it deosn't sound bad... i just thought it was weird how they put it in such a low volume....lol i have to have my MacBook Pro on almost the highest level to hear it and obviously i had to pay attention lol i've had the album for over a year and just noticed it

I don't like the studio recording of Dans un autre monde. I had only watched the live performance on Celine sur les Plaines and really liked it, then when I listened to the original I was disappointed...

a great version of DUAM is available on Au coeur du stade CD JJ is great, but IMO in concert his tracks really start to live!

 

btw I can't believe people never really noticed the 1,2,3 in TJTWIM, I heard it from the start!

I <3 DUAM live, but I've never noticed anything wrong with the studio verison, will have to listen closely next time

 

I heard the counting from the start too, I think it fits in with the tracks whole vibe
