takingchances83 Posted December 30, 2008 at 06:45 PM Posted December 30, 2008 at 06:45 PM If I could choose the team to work on Celines New Album, I would choose, - Ryan Tedder to produce and write a couple of tracks at least as hes amazing, and also Jesse Mccarthy who co wrote Leona Lewis's Bleeding Love. Id also enlist David Foster and Walter Afanasieff to do a couple of old style tracks, and perhaps someone unexpected to bring a bit of fire, such as Timbaland or Will i Am. Also The Runaways who worked on Leona's Spirit and Diane Warren would also be brought back. Id maybe even have production also from Xenomania who worked with Girls Aloud/Sugababes. and John Shanks would return. Id ask for the team behind Rihannas Umbrella again but not do another Skies of la but something more upbeat and less dull. Id also ask for some of the producers who worked on Duffy's album as i think that would be an interesting sound for Celine. So preety weird choices !. Quote
Javito Posted December 30, 2008 at 07:41 PM Posted December 30, 2008 at 07:41 PM I would bring back all the team that chose, selected and produced all the uptempo songs on ANDHC, because they are great and the album is amazing They were on the right path with the tracklist of this album, styles, versions and adaptations Quote "Hush, now... LVCeline Posted December 30, 2008 at 07:47 PM Posted December 30, 2008 at 07:47 PM It's funny that people always want Celine to try new things and become relevant, yet we all desire more than anything for her to return to her Falling Into You glory days and do those same types of songs she's already done. I'm included in that group. I get sick at the thought of Timbaland producing a song for her. She is best at ballads and that's my personal preference. I don't like heavy beats and weird new styles. But that's just my personal opinion! I would love David Foster, and Diann Warren, and Jim Steinman back on her side to produce songs. Most of her best songs are produced or written by one of those 3. I agree with you. I remember Simon Cowell telling Chris Daughtry, when he was a contestant on American Idol, that his consistent choice of rock songs, suited him well. Even though he didn't win in the end, he has stuck with what he felt most comfortable with and music that suits him, and from what I can tell, he is doing quite well and is even on the rise (of course he is a newcomer, so he is among the "it" groups right now) At any rate, I believe the same principle applies to Celine as an established artist. I will have an appreciation for whatever Celine feels comfortable doing, but I think the ballads are her "it" thing and what many of her fans love to hear from her. I can also appreciate a desire not to be bored or stagnant in music, so if Celine feels like adding a little spice to what she does, then she should go for it. I agree... but disagree at the same time . She has gems in her albums that were written by less known songwriters, and for me they are as good or even better than the pasty mellow songs of Mrs Warren and Mr Foster You like her ballads the most... but isn't that because is what you have been used to? is what they always have exploited of her. Ballads, ballads, and more ballads. And when she has some different songs on a new album, then she sings The Prayer or MHWGO on a TV special Perhaps its because her recording company has always pushed and insisted on her ballad songs, sending only slow ballads to the radios (that of course they won't play), that many people identifies her as a ballad singer? After her nice efforts with Unison, she hadn't shown her sexy, young and dancing side till AND show with the RDMH performance (I think that was the best moment that those 5 year in jail brought us). Then they realized the girl can dance and sing also uptempo, rockish and dance songs. After 20 years of career!!. Look how the audiences react at her RDMH performance now in the world tour. The crowd goes crazy, because they barely know that Céline, and they love it! That makes many to wonder why she insists in singing ballads, when she can do more often that fresh, young music?. Unfortunately, then we have albums like ANDHC and One Heart with many of those songs and fresh styles, and then she comes to Oprah and sings At Last, slow version of ANDHC and Nature Boy She always turns back to the same profile: the ballad singer. UNFORTUNATELY!!! I think I'll have to bear with it! Edited December 30, 2008 at 08:15 PM by Gonzalillo Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Alex_Incognito Posted December 30, 2008 at 08:37 PM Posted December 30, 2008 at 08:37 PM (edited) I'd love a current-style Quebec pop album. I'd love to have her work with Marc Dupé again, Garou's producers, Luc Plamondon on something more pop (and current). Something that re-creates the magic of the Plaines concert on CD form. I just can't wait for another French album! She never dissapoints! Edited December 30, 2008 at 08:38 PM by Alex_Incognito Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

Kyle_Jared Posted December 30, 2008 at 09:14 PM Posted December 30, 2008 at 09:14 PM (edited) A Smash Album: R.Kelly to write and compose one to two songs (he's a beautiful lyricist and song make, i.e. "I'm your angel") David Foster to produce 2-3 tracks; one of the tracks penned by Diane Warren. Timbaland to lend his talents to an amazing mid-tempo ballad. 1-2 tracks produced by Walter Afanassief Ask Stephen Mocciano (I think that's his name or close to it) to write another track for Celine (He did a beautiful job with "A New Day Has Come") A new duet with Michael Buble produced by David Foster. Bring back Jim Steinman and see if he can do a contemporary hit again with a huge orchestra a la falling into you or "Us." Max Martin did a wonderful job with "In His Touch"....somthing along those lines by him would be great. Hire Leona Lewis' song writer/Producers for "Bleeding Love" and have them do a hit for Celine----not matter how much the price tag having her back with a smash single would be worth it. But now that Celine put out "Taking Chances" and the rockier stuff didn't fly all that well, she should next return to her Adult Contemporary stuff....but modernize it is all. We need another album like ANDHC. If I had it my way, I'd have Aldo Nova, Kristian Lundin, and Kara DioGuardi work on the entire album. It seems they wrote and produced some of the most popular and successful recent tracks. Something that's somewhat of a continuation of ANDHC is the key to get Celine on the charts... maybe not at number one, but somewhere at the top. We need a collection of uptempo pop tracks to allow Celine to have a real comeback to the Top 40. And we'll NEED at least thress videos... it's gonna need some good promotion. Hopefully a plan like this one with be excecuted for a possible future album. Lymon Posted December 31, 2008 at 01:00 AM Posted December 31, 2008 at 01:00 AM For her French career, she should do more collaborations with JJG and Venuruso(probably didn't spell it right), and maybe experiment a little there. Her French releases have always been versatile and deep, so I don't have to worry much there. For her Englishc areer, I want her to do music like Evanescence's Fallen album. I think she should collaborate exclusivly with Ben Moody and David Hodges. They should be her exclusive writers/producers, and maybe she can go in and co-write some stuff with them. Her English albums have always been about many producers producing one or two songs, so this album could be just two people making music with Celine. I so want Celine to do songs like Bring Me to Life, Everybody's Fool, Taking Over Me, Whisper and My Immortal. The Moody/Hodges tracks on TC started that, and I really want them to become her exclusive collaborators. Then she can dye her hair a really dark color(think a little darker than the Live video, since I think that's her natural hair color), start making good music videos, promoting her new music, and leaving the old pre-1999 hits behind her. Javier_Natalio Posted December 31, 2008 at 05:10 AM Posted December 31, 2008 at 05:10 AM (edited) Hit collaborations from TCH were Linda Perry, Ne-Yo, Kara DioGuardi and the team behing Skies of LA. And I mean "hits" as in "right choices," not necessarily chart toppers. Repeat those and bring on more good choices, such as Timbaland (as safe and tired as it may seem). I really hope they really invest in the new album and not hire "afordable, will give up my rights to the song" producers, as technically proficient and professional as they might be, such as Aldo Nova; so to not so much make a revenue, but to keep her relevant. It will be the right investment and it will pay off in future tours and legions of younger fans. Edited December 31, 2008 at 05:11 AM by Javier_Natalio Quote

takingchances83 Posted December 31, 2008 at 11:01 AM Author Posted December 31, 2008 at 11:01 AM Id love for Celine to do some writing herself just co writing and to sing some of her own lyrics. Also I hate the idea of Akon duet hideous! I think R Kelly should write and produce for her not neccesarily duet again. Def no to a Justin duet i cant see it working?. Some soul on the album would be good. I could also see her doing something with William Orbit or another similar producer, imagine a great trancy style track with celines awesome powerful vocals over it. Perhaps Orbit or Mirwais another Madonna producer. Electronic Celine would be cool for a couple of tracks!. Id also get rid of the current executive producers who always do celines albums, she needs some new guidance and new inspiration. Having said all this i guess how her albums sell isnt that worrying to her as she makes her money on the road and shes as big as ever when it comes to sales of concert tickets. Quote

Walter,Diane,David are still good, but their songs are not good for release as singles nowadays...I think celine could try some new elements(music style) similar to songs like:"Catch Me While I'm Sleeping""Waiting for Love" "Try Too Hard" by Pink "Beautiful""Make Over""Cruz" by Christina Aguilera"Superwoman"by Alicia Keys"Take a Bow" by Rihanna-------All in all , something similar to the album As I Am by Alicia Keys(Soul, neo soul, R&B, blues rock) is quite nice to try and I think this won't difficult for celine I also adore song "Everything Burns" written by Ben Moody!! celine5-5 Posted December 31, 2008 at 04:58 PM Posted December 31, 2008 at 04:58 PM I would love something in the style of "Hot n Cold" by Katy Perry, or "Disturbia" by Rihanna. She should do more songs that have specific meanings that aren't necessarily about "love", per se. Basically, for her next english album she should really "take chances" and try new styles like hardcore chic rock, and r&b. Additionally I would love at least one techno song like "Dragostea din tei" by O-zone (aka, the "numa numa" song) or "Everytime We Touch" by Cascada. By the way, is a new album being made or at least going in that direction? If so, keep us all posted. Quote

ajguerras Posted January 1, 2009 at 02:39 AM Posted January 1, 2009 at 02:39 AM I am sorry to say that it is not about music quality anymore, It's about a product (no matter if it is fake)... So Celine will never be as successful as in 90's until she's in a label that invest lot's of money in promoting her (It would only happen if Celine starts her own record label). Look how many untalented people sells pretty well these days... But even so, I´d like Walter Affanassief, Humberto Gatica, Vito Luprano, Jhon Doelp, Kara Dioguardi, Max Martin, Diane Warren, Ric Wake, David Foster, Corey Hart, Babyface... Remember that those talented people have made the greatest hits !!! But their names are no guarantee that any song would be successful when released, Celine needs good videos, interesting and creative interviews and presentations, and needs to be advertised on radio and TV.... Quote I need someone to loves m like Celine loved René... And just like she sang in LTAL track # 16, I ask for that exact same thingwww.twitter.com/ajguerras
