Don't worry too much about the language issue, especially in hotels and restaurants. You will be able to speak English. Remember it's a bi-lingual city. That's really nice to know... How easy is it to find things? Transportation? Maps? Just for kicks and giggles...and this is for others who may want to know the same thing....and might be scared about going because of getting lost etc... Steve, you said you might be going, right? I'd love to meet you finallly!! It's easy to get around but even though most people speak French and English most of the signs are only in French. So get out your French/English dictionaries! Kim...you'll be fine, especially because you'll be hanging out with moi, lol! Shea...I love your newbieness to being around other fans; you are going to have a blast. And I'm sure I can help with the tour guide request as yours truly has already been a Celine/Montreal tour guide...and to rave reviews I must add. . Charlemagne is a must, of course! And in general, Montreal is a very easy city to get around in. Metro system is great, buses run steady, etc. As far as hotels, hostels, etc...I'm just not sure 'cause I've never had to do the tourist thing; the family puts me up of course. I think lunch would work best for me now that I'm really thinking about it. And...for those of you who are excited for Charlemagne, most people like to go to Nickel's restaurant as well. Nickel's has Celine stuff on the walls and the Celine Chocolate Cake; most of you will know about this. If you don't just ask and I'll provide more details. It's not so easy. so if you have the chance to go in car it's the best way to go. It will be my pleasure to show at everyone who would visited Charlemagne. It would be so nice to get a more personal tour complete with town gossip. Are you Montreal/Celine experts ok with Nickels? I know you've done it lots, so are you ok with another visit to this restaurant? Beck, I'll get back to you on the number soon. Remember though that not everyone who comes for lunch will want to go to Charlemagne; many of them have been there a few times. But I'm always game and it would be my pleasure to figure out how to get us there. As far as getting to Charlemagne I'm sure something can be worked out. In August, we rented a van to get everyone around so that can be worked out again, no probs. If there are any drivers willing to volunteer, please speak up! If you can, please book either one tentatively for 25 people. I will continue to be in contact with people on here and on Facebook and we can update that number as it gets closer. It looks like the tentative plan would be to meet at 10am for the trip to Charlemagne and then return to the city for lunch at Nickels at approximatley 12 to 12:30pm.
