I just watched on YouTube (I couldn't wait!) and now I'm watching Leno on Tv too.

Anyway, that was beautiful. Probably one of my favourite Celine performances, actually. I liked how simple it was. Sure, fancy costumes and dramatics are entertaining, but not always necessary. I love Celine just sitting, in jeans, and singing a song she loves.

 

Btw, if she was nervous/scared, which I bet she was, I think that's totally understandable. I remember her first performance in Australia after being sick, and she was saying how anxious she was when she's not sure she's able to "trust her instrument." So it makes sense that the rehersal would be better- when she doesn't have a whole audience staring at her, she can test the boundaries of her voice. She can afford to make mistakes or have a note come out wrong, but in front of everyone? Of course she's going to be more careful.

Yes, I have to agree that she looked and sounded lovely. I would also have to agree though that, despite being her current single, "My Love" is increbibly boring live. Perhaps not in a concert setting but certainly for TV appearances. I can understand why it hasn't taken off as a single really.

Yeah exactly Vinny. I hate the awkward performances also when the audience doesn't know when the actual end of the song is. LOL. Remember "Et Je T'aime Encore" on the Vegas CD? LOL

Wow.This one sheer a real freaking surprise of a performance. I liked it even more than on Oprah.

 

Here she is with her band, everyone working the stage like I haven't seen them doing it in a long long time (certainly not on the Taking Chances Tour DVD taping nights), concentrated, tight, yet emotionally laden, giving their best. It's rather funny when there are moments when Céline is reminding you she is still one of the best performers out there and such beautiful moments like that performance of My Love on Leno do very well contribute to this image. Not that I wouldn't know that before but there's something soothing in that song and its delivery. She made me almost consider buying that new CD collection of hers.

 

When she hits the nail it's hard not to resist. Especially when she has that wired microphone on stage with her - I hope I was not the only one that noticed how she again played with it. It was flawless, it was Céline Dion. I don't expect any kess from Céline Dion boldly said.

I think the only reason the song hasn't really taken of is because it doesn't have a proper video, it's not promoted properly and so on. I love the song, I never get bored of it. And I really don't think Celine is acting at the end, when she's crying. I think the act is when she's not crying, I think she struggles not to let tears flow all the time.

Anyway, I'm just glad her voice is back and she's feeling good. Her performance is stronger than usual, she puts more power into the begining of the song, not just the chorus.

And I love those long necklaces she keeps wearing, they look great on her. Frida, any idea what they are? Not that I could ever afford them, just out of curiosity.

Last night the show was on really late, I puted my vhs on and taped it. This morning when I watched it, the taped had stopped recording just before Celine's song!! grrr I was so mad. Thank God there's youtube!

 

I am happy that Celine sang My Love. It's her current single, so she needs to promote it! Okay, nothing tops the performance she did on Oprah!! But that one was really pretty. Her voice was mabye not at 100% 'cause she's been sick lately. Still she sings like an angel.

 

She looked gorgeous. I always love her make up! God she's stunning whatever she wears. Her jeans & boots. LOVE THEM! The big hair, love it. Her face looks perfect, she looks better & better each time I see her. Plus she looks healty, less skinny then before, well she has always been thin, but now she looks a lil'bit bigger, I don't know if it's the jeans or depends on what she's wearing.

 

Celine's terrific, the best!!

I would say that she looked good and pretty, but her performance wasn't as good as Oprah's.
