I love Shania Twain, I have all her cd's and dvd's, she's really great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is absolutely in my Top 5 of all time, no brainer on who number 1 is.................

yeah, dermot and i have discussed it couple of weeks ago. last year on an interview, shania was asked about a new album in the future, and she replied "next year" cause she's still writing songs for it. i doubt she'll release anything this year, so we can expect a new album from her next year.

 

i am open that shania is one of my favorite artists and i have all her albums as well. i miss her.

 

As do i, wow.. can't believe that it's been 6 yrs since UP!

i had the chance to see shania twain do an arena concert in my local area when i was ten. back then, when i knew nothing about good music, i chose to go to b*witched instead!

I sort of like her...I grew up listening to country and she was always one of my favorite artists, and my dad took me to see her when I was 10...2002 I believe. December 16th But over the past few years I've sort of grown to dislike her, and the fact that she still associates herself with country music when her music is really not country. But I dunno, I've started to like her again lately lol. Her UP! album didn't leave my player for about a year when it first came out.

[shania Twain and Robert John "Mutt" Lange are separating, according to a spokesman from her record label. Twain and Lange were married on Dec. 28, 1993, and worked together extensively throughout her career. 

 

Lange produced Twain's multi-platinum albums, and they co-wrote all of her charting singles for Mercury Nashville between 1995 and 2005, with the exception of "You Win My Love," in which Lange is listed as the sole writer. The couple has one son, Eja, born Aug. 12, 2001. They have maintained homes in Switzerland and New Zealand. "This is a private matter and there will be no further comment at this time," said Jason Owen, Twain's spokesman.

 

The couple met at Fan Fair in 1993, shortly after Lange had called Twain's label for her phone number, after hearing her debut album. They collaborated on the songs for her 1995 album, The Woman in Me. With the breakout songs "Any Man of Mine" and "(If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here!" the project has since been certified 12-times platinum. The 1997 follow-up album, Come On Over, included the Grammy-winning songs, "Man! I Feel Like a Woman," "Come On Over" and "You're Still the One." It has since been certified 20-times platinum, making it one of the best-selling albums in music history.

 

In 2002, Twain released Up!, which was certified 11-times platinum and released in three versions (pop, country and international). Greatest Hits (2004) surpassed quadruple-platinum status in April 2008. She has reportedly been working on a new album, but no release date has been set.

 

Lange had a firmly established career in rock music prior to meeting Twain. His producing credits include best-selling albums from AC/DC, Def Leppard, Foreigner and Bryan Adams. Following his success with Twain, he also produced successful albums by Celine Dion, The Backstreet Boys and The Corrs

That's not good...I'm not a fan, but I feel bad for them, and especially for their son. What happened to the sacredness of marriage? I understand if there's a real reason, like abuse or cheating, but it seems like too many couples (especially celebrities) just give up... :(

He definitely has had a huge influence in her success. Obviously Shania is talented, but he produced one or more of her hit albums and he has a very impressive track record with producing multi-million selling albums for some of the most famous groups and artists in the world.

 

In a way they kind of remind me of Rene/Celine except Rene doesn't produce her albums.

 

Shania seems to have been living the quit life since her big hit album from (gulp) ten years ago (can't believe it's been that long). I thought she was happy being more out of the spotlight raising her child. It will be interesting to see what she does next. Of course it's not a divorce yet but usually this is the first step.

"Music mogul Robert 'Mutt' Lange has spoken out about his split from country star Shania Twain, revealing the couple was "growing apart".

 

Lange has filed for divorce from the singer after 15 years of marriage, and in a brief statement, the music producer admits the separation is "unfortunate."

 

He tells People magazine, "It's just an unfortunate thing that's happened... It's literally just a growing apart, that's all."

 

Reports suggest the split was as much of a shock to Twain as it was for her fans.

 

A source says, "She's devastated. She's getting through it with a very close-knit group of family and friends."

 

The couple wed in 2003. They have a six-year-old son, called Eja D'angelo. "

I can't believe this too. After being together for 13 years and now they are splitting up?? But that's life, nobody can actually predict the future. But I think after 13 years of relationship and breaking up, wonder if they still have feelings for each other?

I always believed shania and mutt lived the marriage we all dream about. I feel incredible sorry for her but I know she has the strength to get through this. if céline and rene split up, I wouldn't be able to believe it, but then again, I never thought shania and mutt would split up.

 

I hurt for her. If céline and rene split up, I'd be sure she could draw a alot of strength from her fans. I don't know if Shania can. i wish she could. I hope, Céline has the time to drop her a line or call her. I know she is busy but I also know she is so generous and loving and I know, they are something like friends. I am sure, it would help Shania.

It made me think of Celine and Rene too, only because they've been married for a similar amount of time and have a son around the same age.

Do you guys honestly think Celine and Rene would ever split up, though? I always thought they were one of the few couples with a real chance of making it last. It'd be so weird...let's hope and pray it never ever happens.
