I think Celine will continue to enjoy success in the UK charts for the next 2-3 weeks as Sony really did release the album at a fantastic time and their strategy in marketing it has been excellent. I think the advertising campaign ends this week though, perhaps Darren can confirm? And generally speaking greatest hits albums do tend to drop away after the Christmas market has dried up.

 

However, to still be number 15 in the midweeks is excellent!

 

 

Yeah Shaun, I definatley agree, Sony uk have done an amazing job promoting this album in the uk..... you only have to look at the sales figures and chart position history, over the past few weeks here!!!

 

And yeah the gmtv promo ad campaign has now stopped, but the general tv advert will continue to air until the end of this week..... So basically its job done for this album as far as promo goes.

 

Btw: Nearly 500,000 copies of the album have been shipped!!!

Because sales in the UK were Actually 75,000 and not the 60,000. So that means you have 100,000 for 2 countries and 54,000 between the other 8 or so countries included
