That whole show was terrible. The only good part was Chris Brown, he was awesome. Brittney was terrible, so very uninspired. She looked terrible, sounded terrible (even tho it wasn't live), lip synced terrible, & danced terrible. It was pretty abysmal for a supossed "comeback". I miss the "Baby One More Time" Brittney.

 

I wasn't even thrilled with Alicia Keys, I've heard her sound MUCH better than that.

Above all, I'm just sorry for her. I don't think we need to bash her... As far as I can see she really needs help and she's getting any. She will be bashed by the press after last night... and I'm not that sure that her album will flop. I'm going to take a step back and watch what happens.

She had a HUGE opportunity...maybe her only opportunity left to climb back out of the dirt but she blew it. She looked completely uninterested and those dance moves are amateur at best. She should be ashamed. The outfit was ridiculous. If you can call performing in gogo boots and underwear an outfit. Maybe if you're a stripper. I'm not saying she's too heavy by any means, but do you want to wear your bra and panties in front of that kind of crowd being photographed at every angle while your thighs move more than they should? She barely bothered to even lip sync. The song itself is one of her best songs if you ask me, but the performance will be joked about for years to come.

 

It's ironic that Britney has her most talked about performances at the VMA's, only this time she had her best and her worst there.

Now her "camp" is defending her with excuses...

 

1. She wasn't prepared because MTV wouldn't let her use her originally planned performance - a magic act/performance with Criss Angel

2. Her eyes were glassy because she had an allergic reaction to eye drops

3. One of the heels on her boots broke

4. She was upset because she had to do her own hair

 

They forgot to add an excuse for the BAD LYP-SYNCing!!

They also forgot to mention that she showed up late for rehearsal the day before and that she stayed out ALL NIGHT partying with Sean "P Diddy" Combs.

I've been a fan since the beginning, and watching the VMAs killed me. The whole show sucked, but it was murder to sit through it.

 

I was in a bit of a depression after it, looking back on Britney's career. I'm over that, and I still have hope for a comeback. She was obviously terrified performing, and I felt for her.

 

Some people need to lighten up. Everyone loves to poke the bear until the bear eats your face off.

I just miss the old Britney.

 

For people who were once die-hard Britney fans, it's hard and disappointing to watch the train wreck that has been her life recently. People make mistakes and I'm in no way trying to downplay the things that shes done with her life in the past year or so but once upon a time (and even today) people looked up to her. Some of us just wish she'd turn her life back around.

Ok, so I already have all the songs that have leaked off her album and I love them, and I love gimme more too, but that peformance was just the most depressing thing I have ever seen.

 

Why would she go on stage dressed like that, with those tacky hair extentions and not even lip sync properly..

I do feel bad for her fans. Honestly. This is not how she started, this is not what she sold in her early years. Even when she matured her style, who could see this coming? (Well I could but I'm way to biased)

 

I do think this new song it pretty awful. I'm not into this kind of music so it annoys the hell out of me (just when I thought I couldn't hate a song more than I hate that "Umbrella" thing).

 

Now I hope, for she sake of their children, that she gets her act together once and for all. Even if she doesn't or can't do this anymore, she has two beautiful boys who need her not drunk of stonned.

Yeah, it's rather harsh. Afterall, she has 2 kids, it would be devastating.

 

But then again, I lost count of the times I listened to people saying the exact same thing all through this week.

 

I really hope she knows better than this. Or gets help.
