I'm glad that everyone was able to enjoy the show! I also noticed that her hair was... flat. No extensions?

 

I'm also happy to see our Celine back on schedule. But what a trooper! I mean, if she was not 100%- To get up there and put on a show for almost 2 hours! Amazing! Love you Celine! Gotta plan my next Celine-event! I hope she is better for Leno!

Just a few quick notes, since there have been several great reviews already...

 

We tried to arrive early to see Celine enter, but we got stuck in traffic, and Celine was actually early! She started her soundcheck by 5pm (according to the security guards we overheard talking), and we could hear her singing through the closed doors of the arena! Who needs the $500 soundcheck packages!

 

We had GREAT seats--8th row floor, on the aisle next to the center section. They were TeamCeline seats, so there were a lot of people that stood up & cheered whenever Celine even thought about coming over to our side...which she seemed to do quite a bit. I'm glad there were some enthusiastic people sitting near us....I'd read reviews on here of other concerts where people (including security) weren't happy when others tried to stand up during the songs.

 

I don't want to get into the live vs. playback debate here, but I've read enough posts to pay attention to certain songs, and was suprised to find that a few I thought would be playback were live. With the sound system in the arena from where we were sitting, it was REALLY hard to tell, but truth be told, in the excitement of the night, and seeing Celine so close, it really didn't matter! It was SO worth every penny we paid, and then some!!

 

We were able to take some videos, which my DH will post on YouTube. A few songs, and her speeches at the beginning.

 

Below are some of the best pics that we took....my poor little camera zoomed in all it could! I apologize for the slight blurring of some....we couldn't use flash.

Ok, so the debate is lipped or not lipped....well in the clips I've seen online TPOL sounded lipped-maybe. I think the die-hard fans would know for sure. For me I'm a semi-die-hard-fan so I"m not sure.

 

I really wish that artists wouldn't lip when you see them live in concert but oh well...

Wow thanks everybody for the reviews. I am going tomorrow night to the Staples center. I am so excited! Please tell me if I can get a camera in.. could not do it in Vegas. I saw on the u tube videos that a lot of cameras were flashing.. Do I try to hide it in my purse or put it in my clothes? In vegas they had a metal detector.. does a camera trigger the metal detector? How close did they check in anaheim? Please let me know.. Your reviews are so good that I am shaking while I'm typing I can't wait to see celine..

Don't worry just hide it in your purse . In some of those side bags or something. Vegas was a totally different story. In this tour you can definetely get your camera in...Good luck

Stacy (Piglot82) and I went to the Anaheim show for her birthday which was on the 30th. We had loads of fun... Here are some pictures but we have tons more to go through and we are in San Francisco on vacation so it might be a while before we can post more.

RE: cameras...

 

You don't have to sneak anything in. They let in regular cameras...no detachable lenses, though, and no video cameras. They searched my purse, then used the wand. My hubby had to empty his pockets, and then was wanded. He had the camera, and there were no problems w/ him bringing it in (a regular Sony cyber-shot).

 

It may vary by venue, but for personal use w/ an everyday camera, you should be fine. If security won't let you bring it in the venue, you just take it back to the car....

 

Have a WONDERFUL time!! I'd be there Tues. night if I didn't have my 2 kids to take care of...
