No, Sony Music Italy isn't doing promo at the moment: they sent the song to the radio stations last Friday, and local radio stations are starting playing it, but no big network yet.

 

The only promo is the one we (Italian fans) are doing: some members bought the song even four times. And we're making banners, spreading them on MySpace, FaceBook and other social networks.

 

Good for you! I believe the UK position she gets on Sunday will be thanks to Darren, Shaun and Tom (and Steve if he finally gets his copy)

 

The Celine team should be hiring all you guys as part of their promotion squad.

I personally think that the uk fans should move on from this single, ( I know it was only released yesterday, but...) lets focus on the album.....

because after the last two/three singles that were released here, we know whats going to happen, as sad, frustrating as it is.... Its another waste and I know how angry most of you feel.......

 

But lets now get behind, and work on promoting the album as best we can; before its release, during the release week and the lead up to xmas, to try and get it to No.1 for even one week here before xmas!!

Please, advertise the the music video/url, the advert for the album/url, a banner of were to buy/download it, or even a message, on you're email signatures, msn sign in name/message, social networking pages, websites or anywhere else you can think of... even if you have amazon.co.uk account or an account on other popular sites that are selling the album, please post a great/positive review of it, as there aint many at present....it really does help!

 

If any uk fans want an animated email signature/banner or a animated banner for websites promoting the album/ where they can buy the album in the uk, send me a pm, with banner as the subject and i'll email you them...

 

Lets give it more action and less talk and support Celine and this album in the uk!!!

Oprah for UK promotion? Sorry, I don't get it. On September, 11th you posted: "Apparently shes re-recording alot of promo stuff this month for different countries etc, as I said before...".

 

For France, Star Academy is confirmed too, since contestants will sing Céline's biggest English hits.

It's ok saying let's get behind promoting the album and forgetting the single but isn't that the job of the music company? As fans we have done our bit by supporting our favourite artist by buying the single only to see it end up at #177 in the current midweek charts. The truth is blatant, Sony UK just dont know what to do to get Celine back in the singles chart. As Luis said, even when they have the most incredible opportunity to give Celine a hit (when she was on X Factor last year) they cancel the CD single release, and now with Celine on the other side of the world they do no promo at ALL and then release a single. They dont have a clue when it comes to singles and worse still.....it shows!

What I like about reading these threads is that there are people who know about the situation, and not resting on stuff like "Oh my God, poor Celine who is touring and is exhausted," actually do care about whether she is successful or not. True, a number is just that, but fact is that a chart represents whether a song is successful or not. And yes, she will always sell and be famous, but I also want my Celine to be number one as she used to, and it is 100% possible anywhere in the world with great promotion, hot songs and cool videos.

well you see Luis, what bugs me is that she had good songs, amazing songs, and these songs are just not played on tv/radio, they're not heard by the big crowd, and that's a shame, cos these songs deserve to be known! most songs of TC are far better then the crap I hear nowadays on the radio! But because Céline isn't a crack addict, a dumb blonde american girl or a very old american woman who still thinks she's 21, she's just not played and that just ticks me off!
