Black Kitten Posted December 28, 2008 at 12:34 AM Posted December 28, 2008 at 12:34 AM when i first heard of Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It), it really stopped me from buying the album. i thought it was a complete Get Me Bodied rip-off. while i enjoyed some songs in B'day, i noticed that she was running out of ideas lately, and the tendency, she repeats the formula of her previous works. i love B, but she needs a better material imho. Sasha Fierce is such an amazing album. i especially love If I Were a Boy (overplayed but i never get tired of this song), Halo, Disappear and the best track off the entire album, Smash into You. the Sasha Fierce disc is ok. it's less fierce than B'day, but it works just fine. it's just a bit frustrating that while it's enjoying its commercial success, it's a critical disappointment. IMO she surpassed the quality of Dangerously in Love. Quote
