Celine Fan 77 Posted May 18, 2011 at 09:11 PM Posted May 18, 2011 at 09:11 PM I always found this song a little bit soul-influenced, maybe I'm very wrong, but I say this because of how much the lyrics seem to talk about God and everything like that. PriscillaBarragan Posted May 19, 2011 at 01:43 AM Posted May 19, 2011 at 01:43 AM Maybe she is practicing, maybe not, we don't know for sure. We all know she tends to not talk about her religion or her politics. A lot of celebrities don't because they know that their fans or people will get mad or not agree with them. Honestly who cares? This whole thing is between her & God. Just saying. Plus she has amazing morals. She's dedicated to what she does, her children, her husband & she's extremely humble, down to earth & very loving & to me being a good person is all that matters Quote

If she doesn't practice her religion, why would she release a christian album? A christian album is an album that praise the messiah in all the songs; a christmas album is an album that specifically celebrates christmas day and the holidays but does not include a full album that talks exclusively about J.C. However, anyone is free to give his opinion. We are in a free world, thanks to God. I meant in my statement above that if you don't practice your religion you won't be attracted to do an album that puts your religion in practice; there are specifically Christian singers that are known to do Christian albums; Celine does not need to do that because if she doesn't practice her religion she cannot preach about it in songs; Celine would not be credible if she did that kind of album. ladylindsey Posted June 11, 2011 at 09:59 PM Posted June 11, 2011 at 09:59 PM (edited) She's been known to hold 2 fingers up to heaven for her dad at the end of performances, maybe this is a variation of that. empress Posted June 13, 2011 at 09:37 PM Posted June 13, 2011 at 09:37 PM I do believe in Jesus Christ. Being active in your faith, whether it be Catholic, Methodist, etc...(long list) makes no difference. It may help the church, but I don't think God really has an issue with it. He looks at the heart. He wants a relationship with each of us. I like Celine and Rene. It sounds, through some of their interviews, like they each have some type of relationship with God. I hope they really do. Celine has said before that she doesn't want to state her political opinions and I assume it is the same for her belief in God. So what? She isn't labeled a "Christian" singer anymore than she is a "Country" singer. Let's wish her the best. If you pray, pray. If you don't, that's your business. Please remember....God is good and He likes YOU! Quote

seantrainor Posted June 14, 2011 at 06:33 AM Posted June 14, 2011 at 06:33 AM Well, Celine may not be a "practicing Catholic" per se meaning she may not go to mass faithfully every Sunday, but I do think her attitudes are very Catholic and Christian like. She is not a judgmental person. She accepts everyone for who they are. From what we have seen, Celine cares deeply about her family. Additionally, she is sincere, genuine, humble, and down to earth... She cares about those who are in need. The list goes on and on. If those are not Christian attitudes, then I do not know what else they would be then... Love this! And it's so true about Celine. I am a Christian as well, and I love that Celine is following God with her heart. She definitely does have amazing Christian attitudes! Quote https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EbAYHWyU8AEWKub.jpg
