Celine on Oprah TODAY! Video message to Charice Pempengco

I watched this little girl and she was amazing,was she better than Celine?No in m opinion she wasn't,nor do I think she looks sixteen more like twelve and she isn't old enough yet to have the vocal range Celine has but she was a wonderful singer.

why compare them ? thats impossible. Charice is only 16 and Celine is 40. Her voice will grow and mature in the following years just

like Celine's voice did.

she is already singing with lots of emotion at only 16 years old, thats talent.

Talent must not hide itself, it must be shared to the whole world for us to see, hear and feel. The girl has it and for us to see her humble beginnings and dreams come true with Celine acknowledging her and inviting her is a rarity we were lucky to witness while some of us here are debating still on something unimportant. Let's keep this moment on a positive vibe.

 

Celine's appreciating her (whom she left her speechless after the performance) and inviting her to perform with her next week is a magical moment. Celine is Celine, there's no debate on that and that's untouchable but I do know how to appreciate stories and exquisite talent like Charice. She is very humble, polite, and very thankful to people who acknowledge her.

Did you guys forget who found this little girl along with a lot of artist we all know? David Foster. He is wonderful composer and has many visions and he knows talent when he sees it. Just look what songs he composed for Celine and were smash hits. I am sure this Girl will make it knowing David he will take her under his wing. Just look what he’s done for Josh, Charlotte Church just to name a few. It would be my long life dream to sing with Celine just once.

david foster didn't find this girl. her videos were put up all on you tube by someone with the nick "falsevoice", or something like that. it was ellen degeneres who saw the videos on youtube and invited her to appear on her show. that's when things started taking off for charice. i've been watching this girl on youtube since bianca ryan won america's got talent. that is about the time that this fan of charice's starting putting up the videos. charice has signed a contract with david foster etc and so forth and i think her album is about to come out or is out already.

Yeah, ... while her voice is ridiculous, it's mainstream for the 90s but definitely not mainstream now. I can imagine people being thoroughly impressed but having no intention of buying her CD. Her voice while amazing is a little too modeled after that of her idols, and it's hard for her to create a niche beyond temporary awe.

no. she released a solo album last May, and i do believe that album was released only here in the Philippines, so i wonder how Gab confirmed it was a flop.

Some of us are gettin it all wrong , its no longer a question of whether she'll hit it big in the business, or whether her talent is mainstream or otherwise (like Lea Salonga, a broadway phonemenal) but for her to simply see her dreams happen and unfold before her and to share her wonderful gift and perform before an international audience is beyond of what she could ever ask for. Any blessing that comes along after all these will just be extra for this very humble girl. The girl is just appreciating and cherishing every moment that she's being bestowed of after her painful journey at a young age.

 

Showbusiness is mainstream for the most part yes. Celine is not entirely mainstream, thats why we love her to death. Everything doesn't need to evolve to what the majority clamors, and not everyone is aiming for meteorical stars. I'm just very happy for her and thankful that we are able to finally witness her magnificent gift -- imagine if she had lost hope during her painful younger years and not embracing what the world could offer her.

Charice does shout out the songs a lot and that's really annoying! No wonder she ruined ''My Heart Will Go On'', ''All By Myself'' ''I Will Always Love You'' and ''I Have Nothing''.

It's so interesting you chose to use the words "beautiful soul" to describe Celine. Just a couple of weeks ago I had a dream about Celine. I don't remember the dream right now (I wrote it down) but I kept hearing the words "beautiful soul" in the dream in reference to Celine. When I woke, I began writing a song titled "Beautiful Soul" with Celine in mind, not necessarily as the singer but as the source of inspiration. I don't have all of the words but I'm praying for the right ones. I feel like it's going to be a special one. I know this isn't on the topic but I just wanted to share that Synchronicity!! ?
