Celine's words were amazing and it's rare that you actually see her at a loss for words!! That girl sure astounded her. I feel SO fortunate now that I'm (hopefully) gonna see Charice in NY. that is some, talent man. mirage Posted September 10, 2008 at 09:47 AM Posted September 10, 2008 at 09:47 AM (edited) After her performance, Charice learns she has a fan who's been waiting to speak with her via satellite. She's a working mom with a 7-year-old who also loves to sing. She also happens to be one of Charice's idols—Celine Dion! Celine says watching Charice sing left her speechless. "I can tell you that we have lots of things in common. I was very shy too. And I also had a mother—still have a mother—who is my strength," Celine says. "You have more talent than most people. You can sing. You can speak and sing with your heart. You can play guitar. You can draw. And you can have dreams." Because Charice shares so much of her talent with others, Celine wants to give Charice something in return. "I'm going to be singing at Madison Square Garden, and I would love to ask you to come and sing a duet with me," she says. "Maybe we can sing 'Because You Loved Me,' and maybe we can dedicate this song to your mother." Now it's Charice who's left speechless! "Thank you, idol," she says. Tune in Friday, September 19, to see Charice sing with Celine, who's currently on the road with her Taking Chances tour. Celine's visiting every major city in North America through February 15, 2009." Get Celine's tour dates and register to win two concert tickets! Prince Whiskers Posted September 10, 2008 at 11:04 AM Posted September 10, 2008 at 11:04 AM Belters like Charice are very common here in the Philippines. Bellamy Posted September 10, 2008 at 11:54 AM Posted September 10, 2008 at 11:54 AM Why do they call Charice 'The most talented girl in the world'?Thats Celine's title, except shes a woman not a 'girl' David says it to every new artist he's working with. I don't consider her as one of our very best but that's just my opinion. celine should listen to Nina's (who's possibly the only female Filipino artist i trully admire) version of ILYGB. if she (charice) want to make it in the international music scene, she should try NOT to dwell on Whitney and Celine's shadow. sure she can sing, but she's so unoriginal. I think your right; she needs to not dwell into Whitney and Celine's shadow, but i see that happening more than anything right now. Quote
kathyc25 Posted September 10, 2008 at 02:02 PM Posted September 10, 2008 at 02:02 PM She`s incredible and she made me cry! How can you guys say that she`s dwelling in Celine and Whitney`s shadow? She`s a young girl with a lot of talent and has big dreams! There`s nothing wrong with that. Every young singer has they`re own musical heros, look at Celine! Barbra Streisand is her hero and it was her dream to sing with her too. I don`t think she was dwelling in Barbra`s shadow at all! celínico_sin_remedio Posted September 10, 2008 at 02:24 PM Posted September 10, 2008 at 02:24 PM OMFD!!! That girl did the best performance of any song I've ever heard! She made me feel so emotional! That was peeeerfect!!! Don't get me wrong, but I honestly think that little girl sang better than Celine at 16 IMHO!! And Celine's reaction was so cute!! Celine's da best!! Maybe like bruno olivera said, there's something behind , some kind of promo already pacted, but hey! Celine's accepted to sing with her and that is what really counts after all! GoldenLeaf Posted September 10, 2008 at 02:45 PM Posted September 10, 2008 at 02:45 PM Don't get me wrong, but I honestly think that little girl sang better than Celine at 16 IMHO!! I can't believe I'm reading such outrageous thing! This girl has NO stage presence and her voice is annoying as hell. You seem to forget that Celine had and will always have the #1 voice in world. BTW, I bet that Celine will outsing her next week in the concert lol. Quote
celinefan5 Posted September 10, 2008 at 02:46 PM Posted September 10, 2008 at 02:46 PM And Oprah said that she seen the show in Nice, France That's really cool because I was there too...too bad I didn't know that before...could of loked for her there You never know who's at her shows Quote

firebird Posted September 10, 2008 at 03:03 PM Posted September 10, 2008 at 03:03 PM Has Celine herself ever considered performing "My heart will go on" like that (piano/vocals)? I know she once did "It's all coming back..." (piano/vocal) on Rosie, which was amazing. The girl, she's cute and all that, but I predict, she'll be gone as soon as she hits the 21. Just hope for her she doesn't go down the Britney-Spears-Road of Child Prodigies. Quote

No one can sing better than Celine and even at 16, that is outrageous.I have to agree with you about "This girl has NO stage presence and her voice is annoying as hell" comment. I felt that when she was hitting the high notes it wasnt 'belting' as people were saying, and i have heard much better. She was good but .. "I bet that Celine will outsing her next week in the concert lol" I think Celine isnt going to sing her best at this, just because shes singing with someone so young, but i know Charice will give it her all, but i have a feeling Celine ISNT going to give her all; just for Charice. sacredceline Posted September 10, 2008 at 03:38 PM Posted September 10, 2008 at 03:38 PM Charice have a lot of emotion but her voice is kind of boring, I think ! I prefer Celine's voice !!! But i'm impatient to hear their duet ! Quote
