Are you a lyrics person or a melodic one?

A melodic one definitely.Hearing a melody I like is like love at first sight. I start paying attention to the lyrics after I heard a melody I like. Of course I couldn't listen to a song that has a wonderful melody but horrible, banal and nonsense lyrics neither. But what is the most important thing is the singer's voice. Bob Dylan, for example, has fabulous songs and lyrics, but I can't stand it when he sings them, because of his weak voice.

LYRICS

i mean Melody defo is important like it has to be a good melody so that u wanna keep listening to it BUT lyrics i just naturally listen to the lyrics and i think the lyrics are important because when the melody and the lyrics mix together it creates an emotion Happy Sad etc ............

And thats why i like celine the BEST!!!!

I ain't gonna look the other way

One more time

Cos after all the clouds go by,

It's just another empty sky

I ain't gonna wait to see the rain

Go by

Nothin's gonna make it right,

Look at me cos I choose life

Definitley melodic. When listening to any new song it's the music that grabs my attention, then the way the singer(s) interpret the song and finally, if its really good, the lyrics. That's why I'd listen to Céline singing the phone book! Maybe if she actually wrote her own songs I'd be more into the lyrics.
