Yes, too bad that the subtitles were not in English. I only understood about 10% of what she said.

But she looked soooooo pretty!

Looked pretty... Yes... But I hoped the subtitle will be english... I dont even understand why they added French subtitle for a French-speaking show... Anyway if somebody get the subtitle, maybe recorded from TV5 Europe, would be easier to translate the things...

I dind't have that feeling at all!

I'm still speachless but ... I really loved this interview.

Everything she said showed her humility and maturity.

She talked about her carieer, her family, the importance she gives to the little things, the importance of having a balance in life.

She said she doesn't have a special instrument, what makes it special is that she's always sang with her heart and not with her vocal cords.

She talked about her mother, René, René-Charles. About the tour and about the fans a little bit.

She spoke about her best achievement in life and also about death ... saying she's not really afraid of it for herself, but for her son (that's what I understood, correct me if I'm wrong!).

And ... well ... they also showed a little part of the concert in Milan, I coulnd't be happier!!!

I loved when she said "Je chante avec mon coeur"

She was saying that a lot of doctors wanted to visit her and her vocal cords to understand how she can do what she does. The all said that in reality she couldn't do it and they can't find an answer. And it's here that she always answer she can do it because she sings with her Heart! Too sweet!!!

I dunno if anyone watched the travel program before the interview, but they showed some footage of a bar in Lisboa, and they played Just A Little Bit Of Love

 

I think it was a very good interview. I didn't understood a lot, but Céline really gave a lot of thought to what she was going to answer. I think she acted a bit distant towards Bombardier, because maybe she didn't wanted to show of their friendship on tv?

 

it was great too see the Milan footage!

ahaha I heard it too! I was in another room and when I heard the song I ran to the tv 'cause I thought it was already begun

She also said she's really happy and proud she loved only one man in her whole life! 'Cause she's and always been sure of her feeling and she's happy to know it never betraied her!!!

As a Québecer that makes me sad to read this. From the excerpt I saw up to now I thought she made an effort to loose the Québec accent as much as she could(to speak in a standard french) but staying true to who she is as always(meaning not taking a french accent or any other). It doesn't surprise me really...but I don't get use to see that because I don't believe that she couldn't be understood by the francophone world. Anyway, I guess I'm not use to that here...we don't subtitle any people who speak french, eventough they have strong accents.

 

Anyway, the important thing I guess is that everyone understand her I guess.

You know, not everyone was born with working eyes or ears...

Moreover, TV5 is a francophone worlwide channel...For french speakers...and those who wanna learn french.

Subtitles were optional. TV5 Monde Europe has the purpose of "teaching" French and spreading the French language outside French-speaking countries. That's what subtitles are for.

Well, I've watched the interview again (very slowly this time) and with the help of the subtitles and my French dictionary I actually managed to understand about 70-80% percent of what she said. Céline really took her time to think before she answered the questions. I love to hear her talk and I love the fact that she is so honest and open..... and very down to earth!!

I recorded the whole interview and I put it on DVD, however, I have absolutely no idea how to upload it on youtube. I'm not familiar with these kind of things. SORRY!!
